I have purchased gas from this location many times without the need to ever go inside the building, having no reason to think badly of the business until yesterday. I made my reservation online with the UHaul website, indicating I would like to use the Wrightsboro Rd location I’ve used before with good results. The Uhaul dispacher told me I would need to go to the Hop N Go on Wheeler rd instead and I did as instructed. I talked with Marcus first, who got my paperwork printed out. He asked me for the address, I gave it to him and we had a conversation about atlanta, the moving location. He told me I would have to drop it off in atlanta but he wasnt sure where. I picked up the trailer at 2:00 on saturday, intending to drop it off in Atlanta by 2:00 on Sunday afternoon, which would leave me room to be under the 24 hour rental period, incurring no fees or late charges. When I called the only number on the rental agreement, I reached Marcus at the Hop N Go, and when I asked him where I was supposed to drop off the trailer, he indicated that it was now past due and I was supposed to return the trailer to the Hop N Go. Obviously I cant make it back to Augusta by that time and now I am stuck with the fee for another day because of his bad information. Not only did he lie to me to my face when he told me to drop it off in atlanta, but he was extremely rude when he pretended he had no clue what was going on when I called him to find out where to take it when finished. I had to spend 45 minutes on the phone with UHaul to get enough information to call back to the Hop N Go with certainty that they owed me an explanation. I got Marcus again who indicated that he would be leaving shortly and Kevin would be there to replace him for his shift. When I got back to Augusta around 8:00PM Sunday night Kevin told me that the system had me down as owing for three rental periods. He said«Let me see what I can do for you here» and changed the 3 to a 2 and as if he thought he was the Wizard of Oz looked at me as if he had done me a huge favor. I was unimpressed, knowing I did not owe 3 rental periods to begin with. Now I explain how Marcus messed up royally and gave me bad information and subsequently, the attitude of a 15 year old who is told he cant get the new PS4 for Christmas. Kevin now agrees to change the 2 to a 1, and the amount matches what was originally agreed upon when I initially paid for the trailer at pickup time. The point is, DONOTRENTFROMTHISLOCATION. I have never dealt with more unprofessional people in my life. I not only had to put the trailer on the truck both when I picked it up and also when I dropped it off, but this whole customer service experience leaves me wondering why a company like UHaul would ever let their name be associated with an awful, mismanaged business such as this who hires employees like this. Due to the fact that the Uhaul central dispatcher told me to go to this location, I will not be using Uhaul in the future and I will let my friends and family members know of my experience as well.
