Had the fish and livers and wasn’t highly satisfied. I like to try new restaurants to see how there quality of food is. The livers were over cooked for my taste and the fish wasn’t seasoned well. I placed a take out order. I will try again but will choose different menu items.

This place is awesome and the prices are great! They have a great variety of fish grilled and fried. Chicken is great, they also have a wide variety of desserts. I think one of the owners a lady with very pretty eyes she is one of the nicest people I’ve ever encountered here in Augusta! The place is kept very clean as well. Everyone should try it!

Mister and I went with a friend on a rainy Sunday. I’m always looking for a decent fried fish joint. Red Shark is located in a dank little building across from the Kmart plaza on Gordon Hwy. I believe it used to be a Chinese restaurant. I’m sure of it actually. There is still some remnants of the oriental décor inside. Hubby and I ordered the 20 piece shrimp dinner and my friend ordered a fish dinner. The food was well seasoned, fresh and hot as expected. They even warn you that this is not fast food so everything is cooked to order. Apparently, the cole slaw was worth the honorable mention as both hubby and friend expressed how great it was. I’m not a fan of cole slaw so I gave mine to Mister. He had leftovers for the next day and he still raved about the cole slaw. I wouldn’t be the French fry queen without mentioning their fries. They were good; especially fresh and hot. My only complaint, and Red Shark isn’t the only guilty party, is that most restaurants underestimate the need for malt vinegar! There’s nothing like hot fries and malt vinegar! Overall, we liked it and we’ll be back. The décor needs some work but the place was clean and the food fresh. I don’t have to drive too far out to get my fish fix.
