Not at all what I expected at the Partridge! The bar was not busy but the wait staff was very inattentive! The food was horrible! Very underwhelming!

We decided to try their brunch that is supposed to be what they are most historically known for. We got there around 10:15, before the normal after church crowd and, although it was Valentine’s Day, they weren’t very busy and seemed well staffed but we waited for over 10 minutes for tables to be cleared in order to be seated. There didn’t seem to be a hostess and so we were seated by a waitstaff person, but she did not take our drink order, so we waited again for over 10 minutes for a waitstaff person to finally take our drink and food order. It’s not a big place but there were 4 waitstaff as well as the bartender working the tables. Later, a bus boy showed up to start clearing tables, which were piling up again and then a couple of women also showed up who seemed to be hostesses. When it arrived our food was not particularly hot, but just barely warm when it was brought out. The waitstaff all seemed to disappear together, so it made us wonder if they were in the kitchen hanging out or also cooking the food. I had the crab benedict and my husband had the catfish. Although not hot, both had good flavor and our waitress was nice, so I generously gave it 2 stars.

Staying at the hotel. Tried to eat dinner here but could not get service. Came instead for breakfast. Took 45 minutes for a muffin and fruit plate. Costco makes better muffins. $ 15. Horrible.

Stopped by the bar for the first time after they renovated. The porch and hotel look more modern but not a whole lot has really changed in the bar area since I was there last… except the prices. I spent over $ 12 on 2 Yuengling bottles which is definitely on the pricier side of things for Augusta! They may be trying to cater to the business/expense account crowd, but I don’t know how well that’s going to work out for them. Service is decent as usual but definitely not up to snuff for the prices they are trying to charge. At that price point, there are MUCH better places to check out in Augusta.

Came here to read a book and have some coffee during Sunday brunch. Atmosphere is pleasant but there are so many issues. Service is disjointed. I asked for coffee and after it was dropped off they didn’t return for 10 minutes so that o could ask for cream and sugar. Then cream was brought out and the«sugar» was in a container usually reserved for sugar cubes but filled with every sugar substitute under the sun, but no sugar! The server did not come back to check up on me. They also let the plates pile up and do not clear them up after you have finished and gone back for seconds. Ive watched a table sit unbussed for 20 minutes as the servers walk right by it. They did attend to me most likely due to me not buying the brunch buffet option. This is a wonderful location and the setting is perfect for a great day/evening out. Terrible execution on the service and anticipating your customers’ needs. I sincerely hope they get their act together The people that work here seem to not care about the customers and seem to hope that just being in a great location will take care of everything and that you will forget about a clean table and basic service etiquette Do not come here if you want your business to be appreciated

They have a unique bunch setup, at least compared to the other brunch places in town — crab legs, southern soul food, salads, and your traditional breakfast fare all on a buffet spread. They have good food all around, but nothing struck me as better than I could find anywhere else. The servers are extremely friendly, but you have to balance that with slower service from both the wait staff and the kitchen. Bottom line, it’s a decent place to grab brunch if you’re staying at the Inn or nearby, but there are far better restaurants in town if you’re already making a drive to get here.

I have been wanting to come here since I moved to Augusta last October. Finally got the chance to go last night with my book club and I have to say, I’m a little disappointed. I won’t cross them out forever and still want to try their brunch that I’ve heard is good from several people, but dinner was forgettable. I wasn’t starving so I just ordered appetizer and dessert. I ordered the duck tacos($ 10) and it came with three really greasy tacos. The flavor didn’t make sense at all to me. I tried the crème brûlée for dessert. That was better, served with whip cream and a strawberry on top. For the prices of the plates, especially the entrees that the others got, you would hope to get more food and have it be better than mediocre in flavor. Our server Ashley was super sweet, but the timing of the meal was just off. We were left waiting for a long time for food and for checks to come. I’m not usually one to notice(or care that much), especially when I’m in good company, but it was noticeable. It’s so beautiful inside and out, although I am a little confused with the décor they are going with. Seems a bit modern to me for the history of the hotel, but I will go back to see when it’s fully renovated and for their brunch or just for drinks.

A limited menu, looks good though. Bar area is nice and when fall comes around it will be a very nice place to sit on the porch and look out over Augusta.
