It’s Masters week and it’s completely empty. There is one ‘server/hostess/busser’. We were just told to wait a moment on napkins and were brought bathroom paper towels. Haven’t seen a drop of a drink. Maybe it’s acceptable for augusta, but it’s not worth your time, effort or money.

Just finished dinner… don’t do it. Poor service, poor food. Caesar salad was lettuce with a off the shelf bottle of creamy Caesar. Really? Had to ask for utensils after we received our food. Don’t go there.

Run for the hills! We should have run when we walked in and smelled a moldy room. Don’t know why we stayed but we did. We had salads which were basically lettuce with a few tomatoes. I had the filet Mignon, which was the smallest I have ever had. Cooked ok, but loads of fat which is not normal for a filet. I had ordered a baked potato with just butter and it came loaded and wasn’t hot. Super disappointed! Others ordered the ribeye which was extremely tough. Their potatoes came the same way although we all ordered just with butter. We had ordered a crab cake appetizer and the grilled shrimp which came after our salads. Neither was good. The bill came out hand written with just a total, no breakdown of charges. I would not return.

Tried this place on a Friday. There was no one in the restaurant. There was one server, we were served water with no ice and the water had the strangest taste. The steak was in no way anything to even comment about. I began to wonder if this was really even a restaurant, or just a front for something else. Will not return to this place!

This is my least favorite restaurant in Augusta. I went because I had groupon and like trying new places. We were one of only two tables and service was still slow. I had to send back silverware because was dirty. I got steak but mash potatoes and broccoli were extra charges. The steak was just ok but broccoli tasted like overcooked frozen broccoli that just microwaved. And then got my bill and still paid a lot for what little I got even with groupon. Not going again.

New York ribeye wasn’t that great at all, with some fat I had to cut out. Good, not great. Server was very friendly and helpful, however.

Umm. This is a tough review. Not sure where to start. Upon arriving around 6:50 pm on a Sunday night(right after the Augusta 70.3), I noticed Pauley’s was empty and the door seemed locked. A gentleman opened the door & said it was just stuck. I asked if they were opened. He hesitantly said yes, then asked if we were the party of 4 for 7 pm reservations. No, I said, we’re just 2. The couple arriving immediately after us said«we’re the party of 4 for 7 pm»… My BF and I sat down and the only waiter working asked if we wanted drinks. We said just water please and«are you sure you’re open,» I chuckled. He again said yes. 5 minutes later he came over to take our order. «I’ll have the filet mignon please»… «Oh, we’re out of filets.» Um, ok. I then asked for the NY Strip. He said they had one left. «Um, ok he’ll have that(pointing to my boyfriend) and I’ll have the Ribeye, please» … We only have one Ribeye left and the party with reservations is getting that.”(WHAT!!!) Evidently I gave him a strange look because he immediately said«we’re normally closed on Sundays and we were hit hard early in the week.» I was truly speechless. I asked twice if this place was open and both times I got«yes»… Rather than, «I’m sorry, we’re closed for a private party»…(I thought the tap water with no ice was weird, not to mention the locked door and empty restaurant.) I smiled and politely said, thank you, but we came here to eat steak… We’ll find another place… And left. P. S. I have no idea how the food tastes.

Classy yet relaxed atmosphere. Wonderful food. Small variety on the menu, but what they have is superbly done. Might very well be the best steak I’ve had out in Augusta.

I haven’t had a decent steak since I moved to Augusta in 2002 until now. It was great. The chef knows what he is doing. We had the filet and the ribeye.

Salads and dressings are good. Crab cake may be the best I ever had, but that’s where it ends. The steaks are TERRIBLE. They are pan-seared and not even as good as you could make at home in your own skillet(with no experience I might add). The chain steakhouses are even better than this place. The service is rough. We asked for more bread and they told us it’s one per table, yet they brought another one to the table next to us. FYI, They don’t serve any soft drinks.

Simple steak perfection! I had the filet mignon, and Hubby the rib eye. Seasoned and cooked so that the tender steaks flavors were at their peaks. Wine only – but that is ok. Good personalized service. Yummy food with no pretense, and cozy atmosphere. Will return whenever I want a great steak…

The location has a laid back atmosphere and wait staff is very friendly. The food was tasty — down right delicious. I’d recommend this quaint little spot to anyone that’s looking for a casual location with a homestyle feel.

Very good food. Relaxed atmosphere. Wish they had liquor, but will be back. Simple but satisfying menu. We had steak, fish, and chicken and all was good. Great place to take date if you want to have a conversation. Quiet and intimate with a friendly staff.

I agree with the previous review, Pauley’s Steakhouse is a gem in the rough! I had gotten the Honey Roasted Chicken Breast. My chicken was so moist and the seasoning was perfect, mouth watering! If you are in Augusta you really need to make Pauley’s a stop, you won’t be disappointed.
