Service Department: If you hate your money this is the place for you. My acadia (48K miles, and 3 months out of warranty) Had a leaking water pump and a faulty hvac actuator. Dropped vehicle off for diagnoses, 105.00 for that. Received a call in a timely manner, that was good. Was told repair was on me, even though I am 12K miles under warranty, I am 3 months out on the 5 year part (way to do the right thing)’ Now the water pump, quote was 680.00, i just laughed, the water pump cost 100.00 and the labor is two hours (350.00 at most for that. Had another shop do the work for 270.00. Now the actuator, I replaced the actuator, I replaced the 35.00 actuator myself in 30 minutes, what was their quote to replace it? 360.00(biggest issue with this is the actuators are garbage and GM knows it and does nothing about it. So basically, they tried to charge me over 1000.00 dollars for 200.00 of parts and 2.5 hours of labor. I am no expert, but I dont think 300+ dollars an hour is legit for labor. P. S. Car went in with a low left tire indicator on, it came out with a low tire indicator light on. 100.00 for pump, 45.00 for coolant, 35.00 for actuator, not sure where the other 820.00 is coming from.
