This review is not only for the Augusta store, but for three other Kohl’s that I have shopped at and heard stories about. It seems to be a known thing that Kohl’s are always unorganized and are especially trashed from Black Friday into the new year. My OCD wants to neaten up clothes, toys, and whatever display that is in disarray. On Black Friday there was a few aisle that one could honestly not go down due to all the items piled up. Is that a fire code violation? This is very troubling with all the associates idly walking about, talking to each other about what they did over the weekend, or standing motionless at the checkout. I worked at this particular Kohl’s when they first opened many years ago and knew that if I wasn’t on cash, I was folding shirts and pants. There was no standing around, ever. What changed since then? What makes this store different from other department stores that are just as busy? Other similar stores look meticulous even right after Black Friday. Why should I complain about neatness and struggle with ever wanting to come here? Unsafe. As I mentioned, I feel like there is a fire code being violated. I also can see a kid or adult tripping over something and getting seriously hurt. Not efficient. When you find the shirt you want but the rest of sizes are on several different racks due to not being put back, a quick trip turns into a 20 minute scavenger hunt. Kind of ridiculous. I would love to shop here again, but just can’t handle the lack of organization. I hope management will start analyzing how they can fix this problem to make shopping more enjoyable for many shoppers.
