K&B Barber Shop Inc

I made the mistake of trying to get a quick cut at the PX on base and stopped by K&B in need of a fix. They were super busy, but had plenty of seats in the waiting area (a hint you should be prepared to wait a while) with a TV. All the barbers were talkative and friendly. Good atmosphere, even better cuts. I’ll definitely be back here for cut number one, not two, next time.

This one was a bit tricky to rate, as the cut itself was quite good… but the service and speed of service– not-​so-​much. I got there and sat for about an hour, all the while watching people who walked in after me get helped before me, before Jay asked if anyone was waiting for a cut.
I’ve been to barber shops like this back home, so i’m used to a bit of a wait. But there was no communication from the barbers along the lines of why people who walked in after me were getting cuts before me.
Once I sat, Jay was pretty chill. Worked at a decent pace with minimal «barber shop stopping» and I was pretty satisfied with the cut. Not to mention it’s a fair price, too.
Overall, I guess I would come back. I usually cut my own hair, but for special occasions (like today), I leave it to someone whose not just gonna buzz my head in five minutes. Just a word to the wise– it may help to make an appointment ahead of time, even if you don’t have a particular barber in mind.

Jovan is no longer there so my boys now see Keenan. He does an amazing job and you can make appointments from your phone. He is always on time and I love his attention to detail.

Just got back from this place about an hour ago. Just to be clear, this review is not about the quality of haircuts. I didn’t even get the chance to get one. I didn’t want to be unfair so this is just my experience from this morning. I looked up a barber shop that had great reviews and was relatively close to where I live. I found this place and it was open around 9am. I just got off a 12 hour shift and wanted to get a quality haircut. I get to the barber shop around 9:30am and there was only 1 barber at the time. He told me that there were 3 people ahead of me but there was another barber that was going to be in soon so I decided to wait. They had a comfy couch and the tv was on so it wasn’t too bad. After about an hour, there was still one barber and there were a couple people that have already gotten their haircuts. There was even a couple people that just came in and were seen before me. Not sure if they had appointments but it would’ve been nice to let me know. The other barber comes in around 10:40 and cuts a customers hair. He finishes about 11:00 and I figured that I would surely be next. But after he was done, he asked if anyone had the 11am appointment. He then proceeds to get on his phone and I could only assume that he attempts to call his 11am appointment. He steps outside and I just had to leave. I didn’t want to make a scene, I’ve been there for about an hour and a half and I felt like I wasn’t really treated like a customer. I can only guess it’s because I’m not a regular? Again, I’m not rating on the quality of haircuts they provide. I’m sure it would’ve been great but I didn’t even get to the barber’s chair. If you decide to get a haircut here, I would suggest making an appointment.

Thanks to our next door neighbor, we came to K B Barber Shop to see Keenan Mason. He is an exceptional barber. You can tell he loves what he does with the quality of work he does and he’s so fast! The shop is nice and so are the other barbers. They have specials on certain days and they are reasonably priced. The best time to go would be weekdays in the AM. Some barbers are on StyleSeat where you can set an appointment up with them. Very happy we found this barber shop!

Best Barber Shop in Augusta. Never had any problems with my haircut. I find weekday mornings are the best time to go. On Tuesdays you get 2 dollars off your cut. There are always 2 to 5 barbers on duty. If your looking for a good haircut this is the place to go!
