Great food, friendly service, and a Friday night luau, all together a nice experience. This was as fun place and family owned and operated. The lumpia was delicious! I had Hawaiian BBQ chicken with rice and cucumber kimchee, which was excellent. One of my friends had the beef ribs and the other had the pork kahlua. You can’t go wrong with any of these dishes.

This is some great Food Guys! I felt I was back in Hawaii again. Went for lunch to meet up with some Business Associates and friends. I had the Beef Pulhue and the Garlic Chicken. Wow was that good. Get either, you won’t regret it and your taste buds will thank you. This is a family run business and they make you feel right at home. Come out and support one of the best Resturants in Augusta! This gem may just be my next hang out. Aloha and Mahalo!

The food was delicious. Ordered the teriyaki beef and chicken, both cooked to perfection. I loved the Kimchi cabbage side too. I wish the rice scoops were larger though. I would definitely come back.

Setup like a Chinese restaurant. Ordered the hungry Hawaiian which is their most popular ordered plate at $ 14.99. BBQ was decent, ribs were mostly fat, and the beef was pretty tasty. The sweet soy sauce that they give you is probably the best thing ab the meal that I experienced as I opted to drizzle it over my rice. The maccaroni salad was awful! Had almost a licorice taste to it despite it’s orange tint. My gf got the shrimp and she seems moderately satisfied. Probably won’t be stopping back in.

I was greeted immediately upon entry, and seated with the rest of my party. The waitress took everyone’s meal by name which was different than traditional restaurants but worked amazingly well. I ordered the Beef Teriyaki(mini) size and it tasted just like a traditional Hawaiian meal I’d eaten during my 3 years in Hawaii. The atmosphere of the restaurant was inviting and the employees made the experience pleasant. I would recommend a regular size as opposed to the mini for an adult but the mini would be more than suitable for pre-teens and below. I was with a large group of 15+ people and my food was on the table within 15 min or less. I will eat here again.

I’m 99.9% sure that, like myself, most people have driven by or will drive by this place several times and never give it another thought, but people… TURNAROUND! Yes, the capital letters were necessary. This place is delicious and more people should be coming here! My husband and I weren’t starving so we split a pound of poké between us and two friends and also split a mini teriyaki beef plate and it was the perfect amount. The poke is literally enough to get me to come back, but I’m curious about other items on the menu. Love the drinks that they have, as well. We will be back!

Saturdays are the day to go! If you’ve never experienced poké, you don’t know what life is. And if you’re turned off by the idea of raw, sushi-grade tuna… shame on you. What are you even doing on Unilocal!?That aside, the food is so good, the prices are reasonable for the mound o’ cuisine you get, and the staff are super-personable. Again– Saturdays.

We where introduced to this restaurant at an amazing luau in the area. The food reminded me of my trip to Hawaii. So delicious. This has now become a regular destination when in Augusta. If you ever get a chance to experience on of the luaus these guys cater you won’t be disappointed with the entertainment that goes along with the excellent food. The bbq chicken and KAhlua pork are excellent options that you will never be disappointed with. Also I have been very impressed by the other amazing options can’t wait to try it all. Will be back soon to defend my duke title.

Very good. Very simple place that is pleasant and relaxing. Hawaii dance show every other week. I had the Loca Moco which was fantastic and authentic. The owners are nice and I hope they don’t change a thing. The food is that good. The wife had the Hungry Hawaiian and said it was just like Hawaii when she was there. Great job Hawaiian BBQ folks, you are the greatest, and so is your food!

First time trying their food and I went to get some takeout. Waited a good 45 – 50 just to get my food! They messed up my order and gave me rice and bread but I went back in an they gave me some rice. Food was great but waiting time needs improvent. I had the hungry hawaiian special it was so good! Better than L&L in my opinion !!!

Amazing food. I came here to meet up with some friends who stopped in town and found it on Unilocal.Very quaint inside. I had the Kalua pork with rice and macaroni salad. It was amazing. I also tried the lumpia and yakimandu. The homemade Hawaiian lemonade was also a great hit amongst my friends and I. They even put on a series of Polynesian dances and had crowd participation. Won’t be my last time eating here.

Oh my! Incredible food, authentic, reasonably priced, super friendly owners, family owned. Met the owner, Tammi. Really enjoyed her visiting our table and hearing of her families journey to start their own business. Will be visiting regularly. Teriyaki sauce made homemade fresh every day. We bought a bottle to take home. It is OFFTHECHAIN! Took some home to the family to try and now they can’t wait to go back. NOTE: please don’t let location make you hesitate! We will be driving from SC to eat here regularly! Super clean, food like no other in Augusta and the best service I’ve had in a long time. Can’t wait till Saturday! They have fresh POKE delivered each Saturday and we have reserved ours! If you love teriyaki or Hawaiian BBQ, this is the place for you!

Being a Southern Californian semi-permanently stranded in the South there are a lot of foods I miss. Frequently at work I would complain that there weren’t any Hawaiian places around to get Kailua Pork(sp?). Finally someone told me about this Hawaiian BBQ place. I live in Grovetown but as my brother-in-law said who through this restaurant has finally had his first Hawaiian food experience, the thirty minute drive is completely worth it. I got the Kailua pork, my sister got teriyaki beef, and my brother-in-law got some sort of steak, the exact name of which I forget. Not only did we all thoroughly enjoy our own food, it was difficult for us to keep our hands off each other’s plates as well. Dani was our server and I have a suspicion that she either owns or co-owns the restaurant. She is singly the nicest and most helpful person I have ever had an interaction with from the service industry. My sister joked that maybe we could get Dani to adopt us. The place definitely had a family sort of vibe, like if you kept coming, they would remember your name and ask after your nephew every time they saw you(which will be frequently once you’ve tried the food). Two last notes: if you heard the rumor that they have lumpia it is true, but like some menu items, it seems to be a first-come/first-serve basis. I lunched after a GIANT party was leaving so I did not get lucky enough to try the lumpia. Additionally, if you like coconut, get a slice of coconut cake to-go. It’s as large as a slice of volcano and delicious to boot! I almost forgot! You can pre-order for pickup! I put a menu in my wallet for a rainy day where I can get off work and pick up some pork to eat at home.

It’s my last week in the United States for a while so I’m trying to eat all the foods that I won’t be able to find in Korea. On my trip to Aiken/Augusta to see a bunch of the friends I left here I got on Unilocal to find some eats. Came across this one and it caught my eye since it seemed so not-augusta. Then I saw that a buddy of mine had reviewed it well and decided we’d go there. I had to convince my friend, who was driving. It’s not in the best part of town. We got there and she still wasn’t convinced. Not the best part of town, maybe one car in the lot, she wasn’t sold. But then we went in. The hostess/waitress was so friendly and greeted us with«aloha!». We sat where we liked and she brought us menus. We ended up getting the Hungry Hawaiian, which is like a sampler of the customer favorites, and their special of the day — Mahi mahi Katsu. And I got a passionfruit Aloha drink which was pretty tasty. Our food came in a totally reasonable amount of time and we dug in. Guys, this is tasty grub. The mahi mahi was cooked to perfection with a delicious breading. The sauces that came with our dishes accentuated the foods. The pulled pork was juicy and delicious. The teriyaki chicken was moist and flavorful. The short ribs were so tender and tasty. The macaroni salad and potato salad were SOLID. We liked them both. The rice was just sticky enough to be awesome. And they brought us chopsticks upon request because chopsticks make eating easier. Fact of life. All in all a wonderful new experience in the CSRA. Super friendly staff, clean, delicious, hot food. Would totally come here again — if I lived here. So, Augusta and Aiken people — come here! It’s totally worth it. Did I mention the prices are great?! Do it.

What a fantastic find in a city normally void of much culture or diversity. This is a truly unique gem in a sea of deep fried foods and chain restaurants. This family owned and operated establishment makes you feel at home right away as they welcome you in with open arms and warm smiles. Aside from the fact this is the only establishment of its kind in Augusta, the food itself excels in its simplicity. They do not over-complicate dishes, and let the ingredients and cooking speak for themselves. Fresh, delicious, and unique, you will quickly find yourself transported to the warm island sands of Hawaii. We are lucky to have such a place in our city, and I will certainly be coming back for more!

I’m a fan of many types of food but when I heard there was a new Hawaiian BBQ place in Augusta I thought«why?» I still haven’t been able to answer that question but I’m happy they’re here. — Friendly service — Authentic Hawaiian food — Fast food delivery — Variety of choices and specials If you’re indecisive with selecting food, have a large appetite, or just want a variety of food then your best bet is the Hungry Hawaiian. I went down the«feeling really hungry» road and ordered the Hungry Hawaiian($ 13.99) that comes with Kalua pork, beef short ribs, teriyaki BBQ chicken, rice and home made macaroni salad. The chicken was really moist and smokey from the BBQ and the macaroni was packed with flavor. I was transported back to a O’ahu with every bite. Do yourself a favor and stop being so greedy with your money and experience the Aloha passion orange($ 2) which tastes about as natural as you can get out of a can. This is likely the only place in Georgia you’ll ever have the chance to buy it. My wife ordered the Teriyaki mini plate($ 7.50) that comes with a hearty helping of beef and single scoop of rice and home made macaroni. I know some people might say the meat is a bit fatty but that’s where all of the flavor comes from! I’ll be back more than a few times and with it just being just off Gordon Highway I’m sure I can convince a few people to try it with me.

For the money, one of my favorite restaurants. It’s unique, cultural and ran by a family that truly lives their business and customers. It’s nothing fancy but good decent priced food. Plenty of room for a large party and fine for just a twosome too. I really like the raw tuna appetizer. Can’t remember name so you’ll have to ask. I got a chicken dinner platter. It’s right off Gordon hwy just south of Dean’s Bridge rd so easy to get to.

Service(not like it matters as I only care about the food): Excellent. Very friendly and kind hosts. 5⁄5. Food: 4.5÷5… 0.5 off because Im a fatty and would have liked to see larger portions… not the best bang for your buck but excellent tasting food. Similar to korean BBQ style food but sweeter. Hawaiian combo platter: $ 14…(Ask for it– not on the take out menu) Ribs– herbs and spices were very good 3.5÷5 Chicken– tasty– excellent 5⁄5 Hawaiian«kahlua» pulled pork– soft, savor the flavor 5⁄5 Rice and mac The food is not a sauce overload like most places people are used to. To truly enjoy it, relax and savor the bite. That being said, they have an amazing sauce– teriyaki sweet sauce that came with the meal that was amazing and I’d suggest asking for more!!! 6⁄5 sauce. I’d go back just for that. Only downside– if you eat like a horse like me, you will be satisfied but not overly full. Bigger portions would be appreciated but since the quality is good– its an acceptable compromise, especially as it tasted healthier and homemade like something your mom would cook for you. Aloha

Like my fellow Unilocalers before me, I feel like I’m back on the islands for just a little while when I sink my teeth into the food here. I’d passed this place up for months because of the odd signage and lack of cars in the lot but don’t let that fool you! The space is large and inviting once you step in and you’re greeted by a warm and friendly staff who chat you up, explain the menu and make you feel right at home. I’m one of those sad sacks that love BBQ beef plate and macaroni salad more than life itself so you’ll never see me stray from that unless a spam musubi is on the table. The sweetness of the sauce, paired with rice and the occasional side of kimchi is my ultimate comfort food and I feel like a little kid again. Beef short ribs are a great option if you’re new to the Hawaiian BBQ game, and moco loco is a terrific option for kids and gravy aficionados. Whatever you do, get a little extra something for your better half ’cause you definitely don’t want to share this stuff! 62⁄2014
