Although I do have allergies and yes this place does make me sneeze, I still continue to come here for cheap kid’s clothes(why do they have to keep growing like that? Why can’t they stay small and cute??). Anyway, I usually find a fair selection of clothes that fit my kid, so I can’t complain about that. I will say that sometimes things are priced higher than I think they should be. Come on guys, this stuff was donated to you… Give us a break. It’s like, Ooh, these shoes are from LL Bean, let’s charge twenty dollars for them(even though they are ratty-looking and have no laces).

The building is very nice – items are well organized, clearly labeled. We didn’t have any problems with foul smells while we were there. There were a lot of new items being sold still in packaging – reminded me more of a Big Lots but with discounted clothing. My one issue was the pricing on the items: most of the clothing was priced higher than one usually finds at Goodwill, and some of the new items were priced higher than you might get them for at other stores. Very nice place, but could be disappointing if you go there looking for good deals.

What happened to the days when we poorer folks could afford GoodWill? Growing up with no money meant hand-me-downs only, until we were old enough to babysit. My sister and I counted on the original GW on Water St and their 99 cent racks, and the GoodWill wearhouse monthly sale when you could buy clothes by the pound. My, how the past thirty years has changed a good thing! After seeing some of my donations being sold for more there than I paid for them, new, I started dropping my clothes in the Planet Aid bins, instead. Also, some lady who worked there sneezed all over my change and I got the flu within days. Did you know that the CEO of GoodWill is a millionaire? Hunh. Imagine that. I can’t afford to shop there, anymore, for half-worn, pilled, stained clothes. Plus, it smells like pee.

Everyone in town will tell you this is the worst Goodwill around. I never seem to find anything in there and it always smells like urine. The best Goodwill is in Rockland and S. Portland
