Best coffee in Augusta! The syrups are made in house and the coffee is brewed fresh in a chemex! Always worth the trip!

The question this morning was: Does Carsten make a killer latte’? Well the answer, my friends, is a resounding YES! I highly recommend you add this spot to your list of favs! They are totally unique! Roast their own coffee and have an amazing selection. Not to mention a staff as excited and passionate as you are about your cup of coffee!

Can’t beat the smell and taste, they will even make you a special blend in your own name. I’m not a huge coffee drinker but I enjoy the atmosphere and smells while my wife truly loves the coffee (we make a special trip from aiken just to get some). The staff and owners are extremely knowledgeable and interactive while taking the time to teach and answer the off the wall and in depth questions. Not a better place or people to get your coffee fix.

Nice café with ample parking street side and in the back. The staff is friendly and there are two sections for people to sit. There is the seating near the outer windows and a quieter area in the back where I have seen many students study. That doesn’t mean you have to be quiet while you’re in either section, but that was my impression. There is also some seating outside, which is nice to sit at with their wonderful coffee. I haven’t tried any of their snacks except for the coffee, but it was delicious and not too expensive.

Great coffee I got the sumautra with an apple turnover. The barista was very knowledgeable and helped me to get a brew that was well suited my taste. I was not disappointed. I will be returning very frequently.

An excellent spot for you to enjoy some good beverages while reading a book or working. Nice place to hang out with couple of friends too. Live the atmosphere and everyone is so nice and friendly.

So I finally decided to go back and what a different experience. My coffee was wonderful and the guy who took my order was so nice and helpful. I got one of their amazing ham and cheese rolls and wow. I brought it up to school with me and everyone was asking where they could get one. This time around, I was happy to recommend Buona Caffe to them.

I was so hoping this was going to be an amazing shop, and it really was up until I sat down. They roast their own coffee, do an AMAZING cold brew and have some seriously great pour over. BUT and this is a big but, MY DOUBLE SHOT WAS BITTER AS HECK!!! I think she went a little light on the bean and got a fast extraction, but everything else deserves a 5 star.

Amazing coffee, roasted in house and always super fresh. They staff is very knowledgeable and helpful willing to offer up their favourites if you’re looking to buy beans, and they are super nice and like getting to know everyone who comes in. The atmosphere is cozy and nice with different areas to sit and enjoy a mug, and places to relax and lounge a bit.

I walk here a lot since it is near my house. I love it. They’re all super nice and they have AMAZING lattes.

This place may be a new favourite hangout. I wish I could appreciate coffee, because theirs seems to be really choice. That withstanding, I opted for a hot apple cider and then a chai latte, both of which hit the spot. Also had a morning glory muffin, which– despite having coconut in it– was purty darn tasty.
As for the space, it’s a converted bungalow house, so the side room (with about 7 tables) was probably once a dining room. Didn’t use the WiFi, but they at least offer it. I stayed until close to closing time and never felt rushed by the staff to finish my beverage and conversation and GTFO.
They also offer a ‘punch card’- with double punches on Mondays and $ 3 lattes on Tuesdays. Definitely check this place out if you’re looking for a nice warm (or cold) beverage and a quiet place to have some good conversation.

Absolutely world class coffee. Buona roasts frequently, and is not afraid to publish their roasting dates, so you know you’re getting fresh, quality beans. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. If there is small line, be aware that you’ll have to wait a bit to get your brew… but it’s well worth it. Best coffee in Augusta, and I’m pretty sure I’ve tried it all.
There’s a quaint room that functions well for studying, though you’ll probably need some earplugs or headphones. The shop offers some baked goods and a small lunch menu, but I can’t speak much to those… just that I haven’t had anything I didn’t like. I’m just enamored with their coffee. It’s incredible.
My summer go-​to is an iced americano. It’s a little strong, but not bitter. Add cream to taste, but be sure not to overwhelm the coffee.
I’m going to stop now because I sound crazy. The coffee is great.

Love coming to this little coffee shop. There’s usually plenty of seats and it’s quiet enough to get work done. I usually try and tell people about it because it’s not a place you would drive by unless you were coming to the coffee shop or to the restaurant across the street. The coffee is also delicious.

Love this place. I heard about them from the Hive who has their cold pressed coffee on tap! It’s so good. I had a Southern Sunset. It is now my FAVORITE treat on a Saturday morning and I’m so glad I found this place. Augusta is getting better!!! :) Staff is very friendly, actually it was the owner.

This shop has a nice relaxed and friendly atmoshere. There are several types of seating options from small tables, to a comfy couch. The service area is nicely fone with granite countertops and the coffee making apparatuses are in plain view. The location is in a quaint neighborhood at the east end of Central Ave. there is a small parking lot in the rear as well as street parking. It was a hot day and it was pretty warm inside. «More A/​C please.»

Cool place – good for studying. The drinks are pretty tasty too. I’d go regularly if I was in the area. Small parking lot area.

This is the place I go to when I want to introduce someone to real coffee. The beans are roasted on site. I can only speak on the plain cup of joe. I have not tried the latte’s or espresso’s etc. The pastry choices cost more than average but they are bigger than what I would get at other coffee houses. The staff will remember you if you go more than once. It is a nice laid back place to sip coffee and talk with friends. I’m sure they offer the best coffee in town.

This is the only spot worth going to in all of Augusta, GA for coffee, especially if you are a coffee connoisseur.
A laid back atmosphere and casual conversations vibrate the small walls of this coffee gem. A soft couch for a relaxed setting in one room, with chairs and tables for extra seating and work space in another. Staff is friendly and actually know about coffee, which is really important. Order an espresso, or regular coffee and have it served to you in a mug, as if to say, «Hang out. Relax. Please stay for a while.» They offer to go cups too, if you are on the run. (One time when the place was filled with med-​students studying for a major exam, staff passed out free chocolate covered espresso beans to everyone for a much needed boost of energy.) Very cool and original, everything you imagine a coffee spot to be like.
Mondays are double stamp day and Tuesdays are latte specials. You know you have the real deal when you order a latte and it comes out with a perfect balance of boldness and creaminess. Totally different than your average spot that serves a latte as hot milk with a splash of coffee flavor. The baristas are also consistent with quality production; I have had a coffee by each staff member and each time the coffee was delicious.
Prices are inexpensive, but flavor is bountiful. They also serve little treats and cakes if you want to nibble. I find every reason, or excuse to swing by for coffee even though I live in the opposite direction. This is definitely my new favorite place.

Buona Caffe is a nice place. I dropped in yesterday and it was just starting to rain and the place was swarming with people. Probably because of the lovely atmosphere and great coffee. I’ve visited on several occasions, but I always grabbed my beverage to-​go. This time I was with my Mom and I brought my laptop, so we ordered our drinks and took a seat.
We ordered iced lattes, which were great and a good size. There was a crowd and we thought there would be a seating issue, but to our surprise there was another room located to the far left with seating. This room was perfect. It has a huge table in the middle of the room, where at least 6 people could sit and several other tables for two. I chose a seat near the window on the rainy day. The area is great for using your computer or reading a book. It was quiet and the guests were also. The Wi-​Fi was easy to connect to.
About 3 minutes after we took our seat, our coffee was delivered to the table. Buona Caffe has several coffee choices. One could spend at least 5 minutes choosing from the great selection. They also have awesome pastries. On this particular visit, I didn’t have any, but they looked very tempting. Buona is on Central Avenue and easy to locate. They have huge signs outside the building. Street parking is available, but they also have a private lot behind the building. The staff is nice and very helpful. The place is clean and smells amazing. This is an ideal place to have a study session or a one-​on-​one meeting.
