This is a great way to spend a Saturday morning. There are a few local farmers who have stands each weekend and a lot of food vendors. You’ve got to try the breakfast crepes. There are a handful of local businesses(Avondale Honey & Buona Caffe) and local artists which are great to see. I was, unpleasantly, surprised at the number of direct sale companies that were there. Well, at least you can get your Scentsy along with your farm fresh eggs and organic tomatoes.

Augusta definitely needs more features such as the Augusta Farmers Market. This little«green» and«organic» amenity brings out a good crowd to the downtown area and always has a great selection of vendors to satisfy your vegetable, fruit, all-natural, local-grown, and up-and-comer entrepreneur needs. The products available at the market include all natural dog treats, local fresh veggies & fruits, a wide variety of breads and cheeses, boutique specialty items, excellent foodie choices, representation from local restaurants, hot weather sweet treats, and the occasional live Jazz band. While some of the vendors resale third-party fruits and veggies, there are a number of home-grown shops selling items as well. My favorite vendor sales fresh dairy milk and bacon straight from her farm — my apologies as I don’t remember the vendor name — and she sometimes has fresh eggs. You definitely can’t beat grabbing a fresh cup of coffee or fresh lemonade along with a favorite street food(my fav is the Fried Green Tomatoes) from the many vendors and take a gander around. It won’t disappoint. Be sure to get here early for the best selections if you’re substituting your grocery store shopping!

Entertainment, food, and art. Where like minded people that want to buy locally come together. I have enjoyed the visits to the market and will continue to visit.

If you haven’t been here you should give it a try. This is my first time going and I am glad that I did. I am assuming going this late in the year is a reason for the number of vendors being small. Although there was a small number of vendors there is still a lot of value to be had. When you buy a bunch of collards or a bunch of turnips you may be paying the same price per bunch but the bunches are much larger than what the super market provides. Fresh eggs, pasture raised lamb, fresh vegetables etc along with other wares. We will be back

I truly enjoyed the experience. There were foods from different cultures and live music. I hope it grows bigger in the near future.

I like to start my Saturday mornings with the Triple 8 run that is sponsored by the YMCA and leave from the Augusta market. Once the 8 miles is complete, it is awesome to have so many fresh fruits and veggies, intricate crafts and food vendors to choose from. The prices are very reasonable and worth every penny.

Love it, I go almost every Saturday. I’m in it for the fresh eggs, local milk when it’s available, and locally grown fruits and veggies. Oh, and a great cup of coffee and croissant right when you walk in. And crepes. Oh and there’s yoga. I do love this place! Watch out for vendors selling non-local produce, though.

The only thing that can ruin this cute lil’ market is rain. I think you get more than expected at the Augusta Market. First of all, if you’ve never experienced the Augusta Riverwalk, take a stroll. The Riverwalk is one of the city’s selling points. The Augusta Market has a good number of vendors, that offer various items. You can find a produce, fresh baked bread, handmade soap, and various food vendors. One of my favorite vendors sells Pralines! They are the best. The Augusta Market also offers LIVE music while you shop. Each week, an artist compliments of Garden City Jazz serenades the crowd. You can also get some really nice plants and flowers. It’s a really great place for families. Kids can enjoy various activities. When the weather really starts to heat up, you can often find kids in their swimsuits playing in the huge fountain. Also, if you don’t eat at the market, you have a choice of lots of downtown restaurants just blocks away. In my opinion, this is one of the organic things about the city of Augusta. Go shop til’ you drop on the Riverwalk.

Coming to Augusta from a city, I wasn’t expecting much in terms of a Farmer’s Market. But I was pleasantly surprised! This place is really quite charming. It’s small, but it’s cute. It has about 8 – 10 stands selling fruits and vegetables, and then another 20 or so stands selling random other things. From marinades to jewelry to stuffed hush puppies(delicious and worth trying!), to pickles and bread, this is one of my favorite saturday morning activities!

Small farmers market in a great location by the river. Take a stroll around downtown and treat yourself to lunch or sweets, pick up some produce, peri peri hot sauce, honey, soaps, fresh baked bread, whatever. Great variety and a fun stop for an out-of-towner. My nephew enjoyed a bubble tea from one booth and a chicken wrap from another. We grabbed some triple chocolate brownies for later from Wild Flour Affairs. They were quite delicious and we loved the chocolate chunks. We are only in town for the weekend, but if I lived in the area, I would be a frequent customer. If you live nearby, don’t take advantage of this gem.

Wow, this is what Farmers Market is supposed to be like! Tons of local, organic and«regular» produce at rock bottom prices, vendors selling delicious food including everything from iced coffee to beignets to cheese grits, handmade crafts, tons of free parking, a live jazz band, and a beautiful setting on Augusta’s River Walk. This is the kind of farmers market where you could in fact do your entire week’s worth of grocery shopping here, but first you’d have to stop eating the samples of heirloom tomatoes, cinnamon buns, and South Carolina peaches. Even if you’re not a local and thus not in need of groceries, the Augusta Market warrants a stop. Just bring cash, and lots of it, because your mouth(and stomach) will outpace your wallet for sure.
