This place sucks. The bartenders and waiters are rude, the food is barely competitive for bar food, and the crowd is mundane. For example, when we asked for ranch for wings, the waiter snapped «you should have said that when we first ordered.» To boot, it’s overpriced. Never coming here again.

Very good meal selection for the business traveler — nice large bar to relax and have your favorite beverage while waiting for your food.
Seems locals frequent along with travelers, so expected good service and food and the 99 delivered!

Staying at the comfort inn next door for a business trip. Not much choice around, after all I am in Augusta, Maine, population 18,000.
The restaurant was surprisingly busy (for Augusta, Maine),
I guess that this rating is relative to what you have next door. This restaurant would have not even received 1 star if we were in a big city.
I got the ribs. They were not very well cooked. I also got a green beer in celebration to st-​Patrick day, which was nice.
For dessert, I had some sort of chocolate pie made with ice cream. It was a bit too sweet for my taste.
Overall I would not recommend this place, but if you are in Augusta, Maine (18,000) you might not have much choice.

Service was great (Mark) and food was perfect, one of the best 99’s around!
We came at dinner time and it was busy but service by all the staff was excellent (we. Eat out 3 times a week plus my wife used to be a waitress and I used to be a sous chef so we know food and service)

good. went to try the lobster roll good but not one of the best .the sea food chowder was very good. the server was great at the table every 5 min to make sure we were happy.

I visit 99’s when ever I am near one this is not my first visit here however it is the first time in 12 years had 2 very bad visits here and just stopped going. Was in town for 4 days decide to visit. Nice improvements still not up to par with others however food was excellent. Servers need to be more attentive and smiles would be nice. Seems to be something that they only do for people they know. Margarita’s were average however happy hour prices may have made them taste better. Cleanliness was excellent and food quality was well above average. In the service business service can’t be second rate. A smile and looking your customer in the not looking at your smart phone goes a long way. Don’t believe your phone leaves you a tip.

It’s a 99, just like every other 99 in New England. You know what you’re getting and the food is pretty good; much better than other places in the area. The bartenders are really nice; great place to go watch a game and have a couple beers.
