IKE’S Eats and Treats

Had lunch here yesterday great Italian beef and sausage combo. The sausage was seasoned nicely great flavor. The beef was cooked just right. Tender.

Great place for a quick lunch. In addition to ice cream, they offer Italian beef, Italian sausage and hot dogs. I got the coney dog for about $ 3 that comes with chili, cheese and onions. It was good. My friend had the Italian beef and gave his stamp of Chicagoan approval. I also got a super sundae for $ 6, it was thick, creamy and delicious.
There’s also an arcade in the back room. Street parking was easy to find right in front of the restaurant.

The Vienna beef umbrellas outside was the first thing that caught my eye, and I knew I just had to try this place. Having grown up in Chicago, few hot dogs can even compare to a Vienna beef hot dog! The menu not only offers a selection of hot dogs, but also another Chicago staple, the Italian beef sandwich.
I had a hot dog, and my husband had the «Big Beef» sandwich. We both chose to get two sides and a drink. Unfortunately fries are not offered, but we were both happy with the coleslaw, and we also each picked a bag of chips. Quite a filling meal!
As if the hot dogs and Italian beef weren’t enough, there is also some amazing ice cream available! It is Working Cow brand ice cream, and the flavors are to die for! I had the Coffee Toffee Crunch… coffee and Heath bar, yes please! My husband had the salted caramel, which was absolutely delicious, and my daughter had the seasonal Georgia peach. I’m sad to say that this flavor is leaving, it was so light and sweet, but I can’t wait for its replacement, pumpkin vanilla! I will definitely be returning for both the hot dogs and the ice cream!
The location is perfect, right in the center of downtown Auburndale, across the street from the city park. There is also an arcade located in the back, so you don’t even need to leave to have a little fun, too!

Was in the area and found this place via Unilocal so we thought we would give it a try. We were very happy with the experience. I say experience because this isnt just a sandwich and ice cream shop, there is a nice old school arcade to entertain the family.
The food was fabulous. I ordered the regular Italian beef sandwich. I was going to take a picture of it, but it looked yummy and tasted so good, I completely forgot about taking the picture and posting the review. The sub style roll on the sandwich was so soft and delicious. It perfectly complimented the warm beef and cheese. The «gravy» as the owner called it was hot, perfectly seasoned and not greasy at all. I personally call it au jus which sometimes can be very salty but that was not the case here. The potato salad was some of the best I have had with a hint of mustard but surprisingly slightly sweet. The baked beans were warm and smoky flavored.
We will definitely be returning in the future. My husband even tried to talk the owner in to opening a location closer to home!
This is a great place for everyone especially families with kids. Good affordable food, an arcade plus it is directly across from a park with a nice playground!

Friendły staff. Good food. Great location! Beef sandwich was tasty. Awesome selection of root beers.

Best place for a Chicago style hot
dog. They also have a good Italian beef,. Go try them you won’t be disappointed. They use Vienna beef products.

This place is great! It’s right across from the park and has the largest selection of root beers that I have ever seen. They also have a lot of games, line an arcade, but I haven’t explored that part of the store yet.
If you’re downtown and want to cool off, step inside and grab a treat!
