An upscale lunch spot with very reasonable prices(6 – 9). They have about four menu items that rotate weekly(usually a panini, a soup, and an entrée+salad). Service was excellent. View from the restaurant is beautiful– right at the lake outside the JCSM about half-mile from Auburn University.

The café is adorable, hip, and modern all at the same time. One entire wall of the café overlooks the fountain and the park. Even though it’s oddly located in a museum, this is the most relaxing and gorgeous café in this town. It’s quiet, the staff doesn’t bother you, and the lighting and the scenery remind you of someone’s rich mansion in Hollywood – and you were just invited. The chicken apple sausage and caramelized onions panini was the sandwich of the gods. It oozed with flavor and the meat was soft and tender. The mushroom quiche was soft and milky. I also had the citrus and avocado salad(without the avocado) with honey vinaigrette dressing. You barely need that much dressing because even the lettuce was oddly delicious.

This is the best lunch in town TUESDAY to FRIDAY. Good parking, service, prices, and especially the food. Plus the JCS Museum is FREE! Try the soups and desserts too.

This is the best place to go for lunch in town. It’s upscale, but the prices are reasonable. The menu changes each week, and is always superb. There is plenty of parking, and admission to the museum is free. On most Thursdays there is sophisticated live music to listen to(a quartet, or piano). Ursula is by far the best chef in town– I’ve eaten at all her restaurants over the years. You can expect only the best at the Museum Café. It’s closed on Mondays and open ONLY for lunch.
