The Clip Cage

Best barber in northern CA. Wendy is amazing. You can tell she’s been barber for a long time. She cuts my two children’s hair and my husband’s, my father’s and my mother’s, my grandfather’s, and so many others. Her reputation is legendary in my circle of friends. We drive 45 minutes just to have her cut our hair. No one can compete. There is another young gal in the shop that does barber work to. I’m not sure of her abilities but she’s very sweet and super cute. The Clip Cage is where it’s at for haircuts and flat tops! Don’t waste your money or time going anywhere else.

Wow. So I went in a few weeks ago and the place had no customers just two ladies who are on the clock. They were talking when I walked in and they literally stopped talking, looked at me and didn’t say anything… After the brief awkward silence one of them let out a mild sigh and then said to the other «do you want this one, or should I?» as if it was some kind of chore to do her job. The lady who cut my hair asked what I wanted then started going and didn’t speak another word to me. When she finished, she didn’t ask if it was okay, or if I wanted to go shorter, ect. Just walked over to the register and said «whenever you’re ready.» She then had the nerve to ask how much I wanted to run my card for, as if I was going to actually tip. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
Considering the service, the pricing is absolutely absurd. $ 14 for a very short and typical hair cut, you’re also prompted to tip. So really, do yourself a favor and save money by going to one of the other many barber shops in town.

My boys and i always go to Clip Cage to get great haircuts from Wendy. She’s worth the wait if you go in and she’s busy. She takes her time to ensure every haircut she gives is exactly what you want. It is a large open spaced barber shop which adds to the welcoming feeling you get when you walk in or are waiting.

My son has had 2 haircuts there by 2 different ladies. The first cut was ok, she couldn’t exactly follow what I wanted but the cut was ok. The second go round was pretty awful. I even stopped her mid cut to re explain what I wanted and she continued to butcher my sons hair. Regretful for going there before his Christmas pictures. Will not be returning.

I absolutely LOVE Breann, she is a wonderful stylist. She cuts my husband’s hair and my son’s hair. We actually followed her over from another shop she was working at. She always gets my husband’s hair cut just right, and that really does matter as he is in the Army. And she is so patient with my 6 year old son who can (like any small kid) can get a little antsy. And my son really enjoys the play she has set up room if there is ever a wait, which is rare.
