I have bought several computers here, because I thought that they would be easier to go to when needing a warranty replacement, etc. The first one had a power supply that went bad and it was only six months old. They asked me to pay labor + replacement parts; evidently it came with no warranty for easily dropping off at the shop and they fix the PC they built for free, or reduced rate at least. The second one’s board went bad after about eight months. They couldn’t diagnose it I guess, because it worked poorly only on occasion. I had done some Google research about the Windows error messages it was giving and I knew it was an issue with the board. I took it to them thinking maybe this time they would support their product. Nope … They charged me labor for re-installing Windows(in fairness, they did make HDD back-up, for me); however, it started erroring-out with same error codes again after not too long. This time when I took it back, I told them about my Google research and then they said they would replace board, for labor and parts. Ugh … They have three stars, only because they use standard architecture and did use good part brands. I question whether maybe they were refurbished parts(hence the high percentage of melt-downs??) and I don’t like how they lead me to believe that they would support their product and then charged me parts and labor to fix what normally should be warranty repairs, if you bought a Dell, or other large company with better warranty terms. They recently moved to Palm &49, where Books Aloud used to be.
