Palermo At Lakeland

These people only get a star because I can not leave it blank. Angel Blue is a liar. She informed my mother that there was no credit check to get into an apartment with them. All she needed to do was to apply online, and pay the $ 40.00 application fee. The next morning Angel called my mom and asked if she could bring in a $ 200.00 money order to put down on the apartment to make sure it is kept for her. Half way out to Auburn, while stuck in traffic my mom received a phone call that Angel had just rented out the apartment. When asked why she rented it out to the other person, Angel replied that the other person’s credit was better. My mom told her she never gave permission, either verbal or written that they could run her credit. Angel then refused to transfer the call to a manager and hung the phone up. This place is run by a crack head, lier that just wants to make a quick buck… never go there, the place is tiny for the prices they are charging!

The reason I give 2 star is because of there weak deposit refund and no good area for kids to play and no parking. I put a huge deposit down and when we moved out I even steamed cleaned the carpets yet I barely got anything back due to a made up pet deep clean fee which is crazy. There is no parking ever unless u pay extra for a spot and no play grounds for kids. When we left people’s cars were getting broken into as well.

I have lived in 3 different units in this complex in the last 4 years. I moved to Des Moines at one point and was miserable. So once my lease was up — I moved back to Lakeland.
The staff is fantastic. Jaimee initially moved me into my 1 bedroom apartment 4 years ago — she’s always friendly, upbeat, and kind (even when I am not). She was very helpful with my most recent move and I have nothing but praise for her.
Jarred moved me into my second & third apartment and he’s fantastic. He’s extremely professional and attentive to any of my issues & needs as a resident — which are sometimes… extreme so I give him kudos for putting up with me and always doing so with a smile.
I love the location of the complex as it’s off the main «drag» in Lakeland and walking distance to the stores and restaurants. The property itself is great — you don’t feel piled on top of others, there’s plenty of parking, and there’s actual landscaping instant of concrete. I am an appliance snob so all of my units have been the phase 2 with the black appliances and updated unit — all of which I enjoy.
I’ve recommended this property to everyone, except people I didn’t like. I told those people about Belara ;)
Great property, great staff, I highly recommend it.
