Look Sharp Salon

After moving to the area several years ago, I tried many salons to try and find someone I liked that had the skills to create great hair. It took a few misses, but I found Stacy over a year ago and found a new home! Stacy, in addition to being a hugely talented and creative stylist, is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. Just love her and couldn’t recommend her more highly. (And she’s so reasonably priced, she should charge more… she’s so worth it!)

I have been going to Stacy for several years now. She never disappoints, and she is fearless. She will try any style, cut, color or combination you can come up with… the more challenging the better, and I have never had a bad result! highly recommended.

Over the last two years, Stacey has been my guide on a Hair Journey. I’ve wandered through Orange, Red, and Pink hair with her, all of them beautiful and vivid. She used to cut my hair into awesome A-​lines, but she’s also helped me tame the wilds while I’ve been growing it out and make the process as painless as possible.
In addition to the work she’s done for me, she’s put blonde streaks in my friend’s hair, cut and colored my Grandmother’s mop, and helped my mother color correct when she decided that she didn’t want to be grey anymore and wound up looking a bit like a calico/​ginger cat. (I can’t even possibly begin to describe how much better mom looked after she went and let Stacey work her magic!) Basically, there’s nobody else I’d trust to cut my hair or my family’s hair these days.
I found this amazing woman though Unilocal,and I can only hope that my review helps someone else find her too. I promise you, Stacey is wonderful with cuts and is straight up magic with color — both unnatural brights (like me and Gran!) and natural browns and golden shades (like Mom, or at least as natural as that gets when you’re her age. wink wink nudge nudge say no more)! Her salon is conveniently located right off of I-​80 and is super cute and inviting — and I think you should go check it out for yourself. I promise, she’s worth the drive if you’re in Sacramento or the surrounding area.

I have been to Stacey at Look Sharp in Auburn a few times and am always happy with how I look at the end. She listens! She follows the lead given by her customers, for example, to my hesitancy of «I want it CUT» (but not too short!) she didn’t. She has added low-​lights and high-​lights and got me fixed up for a photo shoot, my first photo shoot. It turned out super. I have sent my friends and daughter to her, so that says it all, right? Very reasonably priced, too, I might add.

I’ve worked with a lot of hairstylist. Stacy is one of the most talented I have ever been around. She is so kind and pleasant to be around.

Very professional. Stacey knows her stuff. She’s a skillful stylist. Worked with her a couple of times. I have no complains here. Friend had a hair emergency. Sent friend to Stacey. Problem solved. Happy friend. This is what makes her the boss. Yeah sun ! Tom approves !

After a horrific incident with a friends stylist that lied and ended up dying my hair almost black and have bright red strips in my hair. She took the time to make sure to get me in asap and even gave me steps to dye the red streaks so I could get by before I saw her. She made me feel gorgeous and back to normal after she fixed my hair! All the crap the other person put in my hair to make it heavy was gone and she colored the streaks to look much more natural than I ever could! She’s such a lovely person and has a passion to make people feel beautiful when they’re are feeling down. She even helped give me tips and products to try to get the copper tone back in my hair. If you want someone to help you get that bounce back in your step from great hair, Stacey is the woman. :)

Today I got a great haircut from Stacey. Elise, you are so right, she does work well with thick wavy hair (which mine is). I certainly feel fortunate that I need to drive only two miles instead of 30 to get my hair cut by her.

I have to echo what everyone else says about Stacey Barton on Unilocal… she’s FABULOUS! Today was my first time going to her shop and it certainly won’t be the last. I flew home from Syracuse, NY for the holidays, decided to try something new, and I think I’ll get my hair cut here every time I’m home!
Stacey is a great conversationalist, but you can tell she pays great attention to her work. I brought in a couple of photos of options for my hair style and when I walked out, I looked EXACTLY like the woman in one of my «example» pictures. I have pretty unruly, thick, wavy hair, but Stacey handled it like a champ and gave me some tips for the best way to work with it. She even curled and styled my hair… all for just $ 20. What a steal.
This is, by far, the best experience I’ve ever had at a hair salon. I would recommend Stacey to everyone!

Stacey Barton of Look Sharp Salon is, hands down, the best hair stylist and colorist I have ever met. Not only does she do impeccable work, but she is super friendly and makes you very, very comfortable.
I can’t recommend her enough! when you get impeccable work coupled with friendly professionalism, there is no reason to use anyone else for ALL your hair needs.

Stacey is amazing. She totally fixed my hair and is super sweet. I will from now on go there to get my hair done even though it a 1 hour drive. Its totally worth it. Darian also does excellent makeup. I highly recommend this salon!

Stacey is one of those genuinely fantastic people, in this crazy world. I work with her as a hairstylist for fashion photography, and all she needs is a bare idea, and she’s got the most beautifully perfect hairstyle to match it.
She’s eager, interesting, super sweet, and above all, highly professional. On top of ALL of that, her rates are awesome. :D I highly recommend her either for personal or professional work!

Okay, I’ve searched far and wide for a GOOD stylist… someone who listens to you and does exactly what you ask of them, and does it well. I live in Sacramento and I drive to Auburn just to have Stacey, the owner, do my hair. Does that tell you how good the salon is?

My husband and 2 year old son both had their hair cut today and when they both arrived home they looked amazing!!! Totally impressed! I cannot wait to get my hair cut soon! We have found our new salon!

Stacy is a really great hairstylist, has been at it for over 17 years!!! Her portfolio Is really amazing!!! I would also recommend her daughter Darian for makeup (very talented and knows her stuff)!!!

Stacey (the owner) is amazing! I had dyed my hair a pretty bright shade of Auburn and decided I wanted it more back to my normal brown color with some highlights. Stacey did a GREAT job without making my hair too dark to cover up the red. She also does updo’s as well and is going to be doing my hair for my wedding day! This place is awesome in the inside. Rock n Roll style salon and a nice waiting area. They also do children’s haircuts as well.
