Great coffee. I liked that Jason put the sugar in with the coffee before adding the milk. Nice touch. I also tried the apricot croissant and it was legit! I’m not from the area, and tried Jason’s based on reviews and I’m glad I did!

His pastries are delicious, but small and overpriced. His coffee is fine. His manner, however, is not friendly. I felt as if my business wasn’t appreciated, so I feel no need to return.

Ordered a yellow cake with chocolate frosting because the rating were good and you cont get yellow cake from most bakery’s. The cake was done on time but it was just an ok cake.

Visited this place several months back. I picked up my BF on his lunch break and brought him here, thinking we would enjoy it, per the Unilocal reviews… wrong. Upon entering, it’s very quiet and I felt like I was walking into someone’s home… should I knock first? If the guy at the counter hadn’t seen us I probably would have turned and walked out, and when I looked back at my BF I knew he was thinking the same thing. But ok, we’re caught, might as well try something now. I ordered 2 savory turnovers and an apricot one. The guy was very quiet and it was just overall an awkward experience. My BF even said he was going to the car to wait!!! No!!! Don’t leave me alone in here!!! Anyway, the guy, I’m assuming it’s Jason, heated up my turnover for me… in a microwave… for 10 seconds… that’s it. WTH? I took my purchase to the car and gave my BF his small little turnover for lunch. I can’t remember what kind he had, but he said it was ok. Mine however, the turkey, cranberry and cream cheese I did not care for at all. My BF had a bite and he wouldn’t eat it either. This is why I wanted it warmed up, like in an oven, so the meat would be hot, not room temp. Very disappointing. And the apricot one, not good either, tasted just like preserves from a jar, nothing homemade tasting about it whatsoever. I guess this is what one is to expect from a place with good reviews in Auburn… there aren’t many other choices so higher reviews may be from lack of options. But hey, I hear he makes good cakes!

I’m new to the area and by the 3rd time I walked in he(the Jason of Jason’s Coffee) already knew what my «usual» drink was. Very quiet and humble place to hang out and tons of great pastries to choose from. Just watch out– he’s closed on Mondays.

He’s a genius when it comes to baking. The food is so good it’ll put you on your ass. The coffee is delicious. The man behind the counter is a down to earth family man. It’s nice to go somewhere that serves decadent foods and great coffees without the snobby attitude that usually follows.

Ask for wifi if you need it, and he’ll hook you up. Awesome supply of fresh, homemade pastries. Fantastic americano($ 1.75 for 12oz) at a fantastic price. Not a lot of seating(4 chairs and one couch), but that adds to the atmosphere in my humble opinion… It’s not supposed to be a Starbucks.

We have used Jason for years to make custom cakes. He is hands down the best! His customer service is wonderful, he’s very accommodating and his cakes are phenomenal! The price is great as well. I highly highly recommend Jason’s coffee shop!!!

Coffee House running out of an old home. Small business man making it work. Homemade pastries and wonderful coffee. Not much in the area… as for small business. So I truly appreciate a small MA and pa shop… and making it work.

I had high hopes for the coffee shop given other reviews, it’s locally roasted beans, and the delicious looking pastries. I didn’t order any pastries but got an americano for myself and an iced caramel latte for my wife. The espresso shots were pulled quickly. My americano tasted more like water than the rich delicious beverage I would expect. My wife’s latte was imbalanced, had too much caramel, but at least she could taste the slightly over roasted espresso. I hope the pastries are better. I wouldn’t come back for the coffee.

Cute out if the way place, not really a coffee shop, no tables and not really much of a bakery, not much of a selection. The cinnamon rolls are amazing. I will go back in the weekend to see if they have a better selection of baked goods. The guy working the counter isn’t very friendly.

This place is great! Very warm and nicely decorated inside. Very quaint. The coffee is very good too, but didn’t try the baked goods yet. Nice location and beautiful coffee(house) shop! The owner, Jason runs the shop and made our coffee. Thanks Jason!

I love that everything is hand-made. I love the travel pictures with Gizmo in them. I love the selection of treats. But what I REALLY love is the turkey cranberry cream cheese turnover.

To be honest, I’m kind of a ‘coffee snob’. Let’s be real, there’s no ‘kind of’ about it, I’m a coffee snob. Jason’s is pretty awesome! Great coffee, great service and totally worth the drive(I live in Covington.) While I was hanging out in his little hang out area, he showed us a Dutch Apple Pie– he said«it’s almost 10 lbs, has a full pound of butter in it, and I’m taking pre-orders.» Well, I’m writing this now, on Thanksgiving night because damn that was a good Dutch Apple Pie. I normally bake my own, I like to make pie, but I ordered one for two reasons, I knew I wouldn’t have time this year and I wanted to support local business. I am very thankful for that decision.

One of Auburn’s little saving graces. Since the drive-in is toast, I feel like it’s one of three reasons to go that city outside of taking a flight lesson or buying a car. Jason’s Coffee Shop & Fine Baked Goods is a long title for everything the owner provides. With the number of accolades he’s accrued, I almost feel like he could just call it Jason’s. Fans would still know exactly what you were talking about. Across the street from the Auburn Medical Center, the establishment is a 106 year old small red grandma’s house-looking café with front steps and a ramp for those wheel-bound…or enjoy taking the scenic route to the front door. Outside, you’re greeted to a very homey atmosphere that welcomes you in with the fresh aroma of baked spices and breads that are made fresh every morning. I don’t know how much sleep this guy gets, but anyone up before God hits His first snooze deserves a ribbon. Jason is a very easy-going and patient guy with a great sense of humor. He’ll wait with the first-timers and answer and all questions you may have. At least, all that I had. I ordered a caramel cappuccino and a turkey cranberry cream cheese turnover. Not being a connoisseur of coffee, I can only say that I enjoyed the beverage wholly. It wasn’t too sweet and the caramel flavor didn’t strengthen at the bottom. It was even throughout. That turnover though… Give me a second while I wipe my mouth. A minimally flaky, soft, Ritz-standard bread that held inside the makings of taste budded miracles. The combination of the salt of the turkey, the tart sweetness of the cranberry, and the delicate textures of the cream cheese created the feeling of Thanksgiving in mouth. Because of the turkey and cranbe– whatever. You won’t find this place decorated with anything from the latest spring catalog. This is Jason’s and Jason’s alone. In the main area, there’s a couch, a table and some chairs. It’s setup as if you were sitting in a living room. In the event you like extra cardio, you’ll find more seating upstairs. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a more personable environment in a bakery. At least, in Auburn. Every bit of of recognition has been earned. I like this place. If you can’t tell. Go to JCS&FBG if you’re in Auburn. Ever. Seriously.

Jason always has a good selection of baked good and pastries to choose from. He also had the biggest selection of sugar-free flavors for your coffee. Free wi-fi is always a plus when you want to hang out on your lunch break, or you can always read the Seattle Times that Jason leaves out as you relax on the couch.

Cute little tucked away coffee/bakery shop! I’ve been wanting to go here for a long time and finally had the chance to stop by and get my much needed coffee fix. The place is cute and quiet and the coffee is darn good. I got an iced white mocha and I really liked how Jason mixed the coffee in front of me so we could chit chat. I also got an apricot croissant. Dang that was delicious! Prices were normal for any old coffee shop, not crazy expensive but not too cheap either. Jason also let me know that he does cakes for weddings and birthdays. It’s just nice to have a homey little coffee shop like this amidst all the crappy starbucks and other chains. Definitely recommend Jason’s!

working or living in auburn? well get your morning java HERE! Jason’s coffee is superb… great quality, good price, awesome pastries. My fav drink is a soy latte with honey and a turnover of some sort. He’s also famous for his almond bear claws and creative cakes/pastries. Cute shop near Oddfella’s.

Savory Review: Stopped by for a coffee and some sweets and left with a great picnic dinner. The mocha was inexpensive and smooth. There was a wide range of baked goods — from cookies to whole loaves of bread, but the shelf full of savory turnovers caught our eye. We each picked 2 and they ended up being the perfect size for a nice summer dinner. The hubby had the ham and Swiss(not too salty, lots of cheese) and the chicken and peppers(lots of peppers, but no pepper taste). I had the Chicken /Bacon /Blue Cheese(great balance of tangy and salty with awesome chicken) and the Roast Beef and Cheddar(mellow cheddar but salty beef). Jason was friendly and started a punch card for me without having to be asked. We will stop by again when wandering through town on the way home from the Auburn Farmers Market or if catching a train at the station in town.
