Ichi Teriyaki 8

The food is ok, kind of bland and OVER priced. What’s worse is the customer service there. The lady who is the owner is very dry, RUDE and stuck up. She has zero interest in being nice at all and always has an attitude! I probably go there once or twice a year ONLY because I live near by. After going there the other day I finally told myself NEVER AGAIN! customer service is horrible and the food is very bland, NO THANKS!

This place has the worst customer service ever! We ordered food to go and when we got home we did not have any silverware. We just moved here and did not have our own silverware so I had to drive back to the place to get silverware. No apologies from the lady. I also try to get some Siracha sauce to go and she wanted to charge me per container. Really? I just drove 10 minutes back here because you forgot my silverware and you cannot give me one plastic container for some sauce! Tthis place is awful. Will not return purely based on customer service issues.

Greasy, salty, nasty. With a side of evangelical Christian music blaring in the background. You can do much better for half the price anywhere that serves Asian food. Because this place really really sucks.
Sometimes you pay so much for food that’s so lousy you end up feeling like a chump. This was one of those times.

Worst customer service ever. I ordered «beef stir-​fry» and I got a whole order of fried rice and little chunks of beef in it. I can understand that they made a mistake, things happen. However, I called and notified them of the error and they proceed to say that «they did nothing wrong and if I’m not satisfied it’s not their problem.» After arguing with the rude incompetent lady that works the front she finally agrees to remake my food. Again, all I want is BEEF AND VEGETABLES and she made it clear she understood over the phone. I drove back within 5 min and when I came back with my food she didn’t even acknowledge me standing right in front of her. So I placed my wrong order in front of her and she slides me my «correct» order… so I thought with no apology or even a word. She continued to look down like I wasn’t there and then walked away. So I grabbed my replacement order of again… BEEF AND VEGETABLES only to find out after I get home once again that it’s only vegetables NO BEEF. I will never be returning and I hope no one else does either. I’m not a food critic or a snob. I’m simply a customer wanting what I paid for. Also, if I didn’t have to put at least 1 star I wouldn’t because they don’t even deserve that.

I can’t say I’ve ever been disappointed here… just never overly impressed either. Friendly staff & quick food. But feel like its every other teriyaki place out there. Nothing bad to say, nothing great to rave about.

I am a Christian and it was great to find the Christian music playing however the lady worker behind the counter does not have the best customer service and needs to be more pleasant. People are use to being greeted with a smile at other restaurants and this place and the Mexican food place next door don’t know this little secret I guess. The food was pretty good and large servings. I hope the owner reads Unilocal so that he can improve his business.

I don’t even know why this place is still open! Customer service is horrible and it’s so dirty and old inside. The lady that helped out was rude and didn’t even give me a water, I had to ask. The food was over salted and the meat was over cooked. Def not going back.

Food is not good and it’s greasy. Their fried rice is not fried rice. I gave them a second chance and I regret it. Not to mention the owner is super rude and looks miserable

Stay away. Had a hair in my teriyaki. I told it to the lady who works there and she said it had to be mine. I have real short hair and the hair I found was over three inches long and not my hair color. She had no concern and was unapologetic. They also had food products stored in the bathroom. A health inspector needs to inspect the store and write them up. I will never go back.

I had the exact opposite experience as everyone else. I walked up to the counter, was greeted with a smile, and placed my order. I received some beef teriyaki about 5 minutes later with two other tables being waited on. The food was what you’d expect from a typical teriyaki joint. Good sauce and fluffy rice. I agree that the portions could be a little bit bigger for the price, and yes the music and interior could use an overhaul, but it was cleaner than most strip mall teriyaki places I’ve been to. I arrived and left within 15 minutes with a belly full of decent food.

It’s shocking that this place is still even open. It’s location is amazing and it’s the only teriyaki place in Lakeland Hills, work it! You’d think they would notice their restaurant is always empty and make some changes. For starters, quit playing gospel music. Throw away the dirty old faded furniture next. Top it off with adding a friendly warm greeting to the customers when they walk in. They could have a very busy restaurant and happy customers if they’d just care.

Large portions of average quality teriyaki. I had the T-​2 which is teriyaki chicken (breast only) and rice with a small salad. Not bad, and quantity for the price is much better than most. Teriyaki is not bland, but also not exceptionally flavorful. Had to ask for a fork with my takeout and not a lot of smiles or outgoing personalities. Clean tables and radio was on a Christian pop music station that at a low volume that was not unpleasant. I will probably come back again and try another dish.

I went to eat at there when it first opened up in my neighborhood. The service and food was terrible. I just went back there and it’s is even worse. The lady behind the counter was rude and acted like taking our order was a pain for her. Her facial expression and manners where offensive. We decided to do takeout. The portion was small the food was terrible. The sauce tasted like cornstarch. I suggest that you never eat there. And I know I will never go back. If you want great service and food go to Ginger Teriyaki. It’s right down the hill

First time eating here. Will be the last time. Services were non existence and the food was horrible!!! (horrible is probably an understatement, but you get the point) The lady up front seems miserable and unhappy. Over priced for the poor quality of food!

I am surprised by the lower reviews. I think this is excellent!!! The salad is addictive too. We really just get beef teriyaki dinners and honestly it is my favorite! So good! Fast service too.

I liked this place when it first opened years ago but the service and food has tanked. The food was horrible the last few times. Tough overlooked teriyaki chicken that was probably sitting around. They always look slow. I wouldn’t mind seeing new management. I finally gave up on this place.
Go to Sushi Kanomi for great food in the Lakeland Town Center instead.

Don’t really know how you mess up Teriyaki Chicken: lacked flavour, chicken was dry and extremely rubbery. Their «soup» is just egg, a couple pieces of corn, peas and carrots and water with pepper, it’s terrible. The woman behind the counter is always on her phone and you feel that you’re disturbing her. The whole time you’re in there they are playing Spirit 105.3 (Christian radio) which I just couldn’t handle and religion and politics are ways to deter customers. I was disappointed in Ichi Teriyaki!

Simply forgettable. Poor customer service. The woman at the counter never put down her phone the entire time she took my order. It was if I was interrupting her. I will never frequent this restaurant again. The food was just ok. Nothing spectacular.
