Golden Swann is the BEST in Auburn, CA! I went to a competitor who is on the same street to have a stone reset in a ring and the prong built up, they wanted over $ 200.00! Went to Golden Swann who did the same work, twice as fast and charged me $ 50.00!!! The have my business for life, will never go to that ‘other’ jewelry store up the street and who has another shop on hwy. 49.

This store, and it’s contents, are gorgeous! The master goldsmith. Jimi Fortune, is extremely talented and ready to help put your dream piece to life. He’s very knowledgeable but doesn’t talk down to you. What a joy to work with such a professional yet easy going tradesman.

The woman that owns this store is horribly nasty and rude. I will never step foot in there again. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

I have bought Trollbeads from this shop before, and though it is the closest local shop, it doesn’t have a huge selection, so unfortunately I don’t shop there too often. However, I had received some Trollbeads as a birthday gift the other day, and though they were pretty, they didn’t match the other beads I have. I wanted to go into the shop to see if they would be kind enough to do an even dollar amount exchange, even if I didn’t have the receipt. They are the only shop in town that sells Trollbeads, and I knew my friends had bought them from there. I called ahead of time and asked, and though the man sounded doubtful, it seemed like there might be a possibility that they could do an exchange. I walked into the shop, and I hadn’t even been given a chance to pull the beads out to show her. She flat out refused. She said I needed a receipt, and if I didn’t have a receipt, if I knew any of my friend’s names, because she takes everyone’s names down to keep track of their bead purchases. My friends do not collect Trollbeads, and I tried to tell her that they would not have bothered to fill out a card. She shut me down, so to speak. I was surprised at how brusque her attitude was. I understand that I didn’t have a receipt, but she really is the only Trollbeads retailer in the area, so I really did feel it was safe to make the assumption that my friends wouldn’t go drive out to the one that was twice as far away to buy me a couple little beads. I also wanted to buy a couple other beads, but sadly, I won’t be returning. It was a case of good customer service, and in this, she failed miserably. I understand that I may or may not have been able to exchange the beads, but she could have been a bit nicer about it. I am going to take the longer drive to Poole’s, which is twice the mileage but well worth the drive and also have a MUCH better Trollbead selection.
