They Do not care about keeping good customers. After the current people took over the place several years ago I kept my account there that I had for over 15 years despite the indifference and sometimes down right rudeness of the older man who runs the place. Though I didn’t get a lot of mail through there(I check it about 4 times yearly), I used the place for ALL of my business shipping, stamp and stationery purchases — which at times consists of a trunk load of packages to be shipped. Recently I went in to check my box for the quarter. He rented it to someone else. Seems they no longer send statements to alternate addresses. The man rudely argued with me that they NEVER had done this. Funny, that is how I have paid my account with them for over a decade. When I told him that, he claimed the business had only been there for 8 years and he sent a statement one time to my home as a favor to my husband.(Records show the business was started in 1998.) My husband does not own the two businesses I run through there, nor does he pay the bills they generate. I guess I, the lowly wife, do not warrant the same courtesy and respect as my husband. So, without notification of policy change or even a courtesy phone call to a loyal customer, he simply closed my box. I now have to go to the hassle of opening a new mailbox — with another business of course, and send change of addresses to my contacts. If you need a business to depend on and don’t want to deal with a chauvinist, choose another one.
