Worst customer service ever!!! Shop is a mess… DONOTSHOPHERE. Went in for a specific item, asked if they had it and all they would say is «yes». The woman wouldn’t even get up to show me where it was. I had to step over and around chairs and tables to get to where the woman pointed me to. A simple item took over 5 minutes to find… The place was extremely cluttered, even around the check out area. Very uncomfortable and unpleasant shopping experience. There are dozens of much nicer shops in the area.

Had a sewing machine that needed a repair and brought it to a competitor of Auburn sewing center who said«It will be at least $ 80 if not more, I don’t really know». And when I asked her about a warranty on the repairs she said there is NO warranty on these kinds of repairs. Well I left and through a google search found the Auburn Sewing Center and brought the machine down there. Chris who was very pleasant told me it would be $ 40 and a warranty of 90 days, will take about a week. Well a week later it was done and it cost me $ 40. Can’t beat that!

Never knew this place was here till I needed a presser foot for my new sewing machine. They carry name brand feet for the big sewing machine brands(Janome, Brothers, Singer etc) and they have easily over a dozen machines setup to browse around on. Their prices seem to be very typical retail price(you can probably find a better deal online) but if you like the personal touch of demoing the machine and knowing you can get it serviced where you buy it, then this would be the place for you. They have sewing machines, sergers and embroidery machines and they do cleaning and repair of machines as well. I asked about the prices and while they vary from machine to machine(and repairs required) the prices weren’t astronomical. They’re open on weekends for a few hours in the afternoon(Closed Sundays in the summer I believe) so be sure to call first and check their hours.

Owner Chris Humphrey is as good as it gets. She is helpful, knowledgeable and very funny. Some of her staff, not so much. The store sells and services sewing machines, sergers and embroidery machines. They stock embroidery designs, threads, stabilizers, needles, rolling totes, chairs and sewing cabinets. The walls are adorned with examples of finished projects done in classes or embroidery club. Take one of the classes that are offered to be truly impressed by the helpfulness and knowledge of the staff and owner. Chris offers a discount on purchases made at the time of class. I have gone to three embroidery club meetings and all the material was supplied, the design(s) and all precutting done for me. The cost averages out to $ 9.83 a class.(It varies depending on the supplies she has to buy.) There are at least two employees available during the whole session to help with questions/problems. We all have a fantastic time. I purchased a high-end sewing/embroidery machine from Chris and could not be more pleased with the price and her integrity. After sale support is phenomenal. Having purchased three other machines elsewhere I feel I can honestly say phenomenal and it’s not hyperbole. Stop in; you won’t be disappointed.
