DO NOT RENT FROM AUBURN REALTY! We should have listened to all of these horrible reviews before renting from them. AWFUL AWFUL experience
First, our lease was up in August and in the JANUARY prior (eight months before) they demanded that we renew our lease or they would start showing our apartment to other people. We weren’t able to commit so early to another year so they DEMANDED that they show our apartment even with my pleading that they wait a few months. I was 9 months pregnant and I didn’t want people coming through our apartment at random times, especially with a newborn. They told me that my reason wasn’t good enough and they had to show it anyway so they could make sure it was going to be rented in August. Keep in mind that this was 8 months before our lease was up. You should only have to give a months notice if you decide not to renew. Horrible and violating! One day they gave us an hours notice that they were showing our place. Horrible. I didn’t feel safe in my own apartment while trying to care for my newborn.
Second, they charge an arm and a leg for basic maintenance requests. We had ONE instance in the two years we were there that we needed to call a repair man and they charged us for a repair that took literally 3 minutes.
Third, we left our apartment in awesome, impeccable condition. Nothing broken and it was scrubbed from head to toe but they still took out $ 400 of our deposit for «blinds, and lights»??? That should NOT come out of our security deposit!!! Total scam.
These are just three of the many complaints we had during our time at our apartment. These people need to be shut down. They are dishonest scammers. I am writing this to save other people from making a huge mistake. Thanks!

Literally rent from anyone else. If not possible, buy tent and live there instead. They are unbelievably rude, are never open (closed from 11 — 2 for lunch, and the day at 4), non-​existent maintenance, and really poor quality apartments. For example, my apartments kitchen sink fell through the counter because the entire counter had rotted due to never being sealed. The kitchen cabinets fell off the wall because of shoddy construction, none of the appliances work, and the lady at Auburn Realty told me it wasn’t her problem.

If you support the LGBT community don’t choose this company. They sent a message throughout the office bashing an individual who applied because they looked at a Facebook page and noticed they were with a partner of the same sex. I understand that a lot of people do not agree with same sex partnerships. However, do they also discriminate against people with color or who marry outside of their race? This is discrimination in the fullest. As a TRUE Auburn resident and fan I find this disturbing.

You don’t have a ton of options in Auburn if you want to rent an apartment or anything else, but with those other options, you need to go with them. You won’t be able to get the closest place to campus if you don’t go with Auburn Realty, but at least you will get a better service if you go with someone else. Auburn Realty’s service went into the garbage bin quickly when a few of their associates left. It was as if someone new took over and everyone realized that it was going to be complete shit from then on. Well, that’s what happened. It turned into a giant shit storm of a realty company whose sole purpose was to extort as much money out of college students’ parents as they could. The kiddies couldn’t have cared much, anyway, and most of them just whine to the parents when any money issues come up and Auburn Realty knows this.
Don’t ever use this company to rent property in Auburn if you can. They are evil and remind me of a pile of runny rat shit. Stay away.
