Came here with my Boyfriend and his Brother after a quick shopping trip. Now, we live in Texas so I didn’t necessarily want Mexican from a chain, but it was good anyways. We all got something different and was very full at the end of it all, we had a nice server that was nice and attentive and helped out on what we should order.

Our server was nice, enjoyable to talk to and kept all of our chips/salsa and drinks filled. The server was attentive, the atmosphere was fun, the food came out quickly and most importantly the food was great! I would go here again if I ever got the chance!

Monday endless enchiladas was awesome. It was good that you can mix them up — ground beef with chili on top, cheese and onion and chicken with the sour cream sauce. They also have one with spinach but I passed on that. They have the best desert the apple crisp it comes with vanilla ice cream on a sizzling platter.

My husband and I went to this restaurant on a Tuesday night. We were seated immediately but waited more than 15 minutes before anyone came over to us. A woman brought chips and salsa and said«I’ll be back to take your drink order.» About 10 more minutes went by and we were about to leave when a man came over to take our drink order. We ordered waters and an appetizer of chips and queso dip. The drinks took another 5 minutes and the queso took another 10. We were very frustrated at the time it took for service at this restaurant. The food was okay, not terrible but not great. My burrito was a little cold and my husband’s tacos were very soggy. The meat fell right through the shell. Overall, we did not enjoy our experience at On The Border and most likely will not return.

Seated without a wait. Server took order and delivered our beverages in a couple of minutes. We ordered two entrees and one to go. I had the four items enchilada dinner of spinach and mushrooms with a white sauce. We got our order in no more than 10 mins. It was tasty but just warm. The server did not return for 15 minutes so I ate about half of the meal. Hence minus one star… My daughter’s dinner was hot enough. When server came with the bill and ask if we enjoyed our meal I relayed the«heat» problem. She ask if they could redo it… well we were ready to leave so I said«No, we don’t have time».We do like this restraunt and will come back but next time I’ll be more asertive. She should have taken it off the bill or offered a free meal nx visit.

Pretty good food. I love the Tacos and atmosphere. The Tamales could be improved, they seem a bit rubbery or mass produced. Refried beans are good but the rice is tasteless and a bit generic– what’s up with that corn? Please re think getting rice. . Bar staff is great and professional, and very helpful in explaining the menu items. However there is always a chemical burn smell in the bar area– not sure what it is– but definitely noticeable. Will return for Tacos!

We made the mistake of ordering food here last night without checking reviews 1st. Chips and salsa were good, refilled. No bourbon, three kinds of cheap wine. We ordered a chimi chimi chicken and shrimp dinner,(had only stopped for drinks) the shrimp were chewy and fishy tasting, the chicken was a about ½ a small chicken breast, tasteless and dry. Definitely not worth the $ 14.99 price tag. Overall the experience was such a disappointment, shame on me for not taking the two minutes to read some reviews.

Don’t waste your time. Qdoba is across the street; you’ll get a better meal there. I ordered shrimp tacos and dictated exactly what I wanted on there. Instead I got a few shrimp, and cold, shredded cheese served on a cold tortilla. The chance of me going back is 0%.

My first time at this chain and I was hesitant, but we had a gift card. It was great ! We were seated right away in a huge booth. Chips and salsa came immediately. Our server was there quickly for drink orders and took the kids’ food orders so they could eat quicker. She was an excellent server — she also brought 2 sides that were helpful. A side of fresh sliced jalapeños for my husband and a side of fresh sliced avocado for the baby. The kitchen manager stopped by to see how everything was. The chips and salsa both seemed fresh; chips were still hot. Yes, this is a chain, but we all enjoyed our food. Great kids menu and nice lunch specials. The only thing I didn’t love was the rice — –I prefer rice that is more sticky/moist, but our food was great. We will be back — the atmosphere is nice — bright, nice music, big fireplace, staff seemed happy and eager to help. Nice experience. Great service.

This has been the worst experience I have ever had with this restaurant chain. The waitress from the beginning was horrible, actually that was the entire experience. Food was great as usual, but it was one thing after another with the waitress. Received chips but no salsa, ok, why? Had to wait for salsa. Then as the visit continued I had to bus my own plates to the end of the table, she would bring more plates out but not clear the dirty ones. Talk about lazy! She had to be reminded constantly to refill drinks and chips with salsa. The last straw was when we cashed out and was shorted big time, asked for the manager and brought this to her attention, her reasoning she didn’t have enough cash on her! The manager stated that this is one of his best servers, I sure wouldn’t brag about her!!!

This was our first time here… and the last. The margarita was good and that’s where it ended. Stacked nachos were awful, while the shrimp bowl and steak fajitas were OK. They got us the first time, they won’t get us again.

I really only go here for the chips, guacamole live which is prepared table, and drinks. The rest of the food is pretty average and lately the service has been lacking as well. It’s still a decent pic for drinks and appetizers — just don’t expect authentic Mexican food or A+ customer service.

This is very Americanized Mexican. Very cheesy, saucy, fried, and delicious. Just like I prefer. My wife ordered a pint of Amber dos Equis and I was a little surprised at the price($ 5.59). Seems kinda steep. Regardless over all it was a good meal. The service was fast(which is good cause we have a 7 month old) and our server was knowledgeable. The kids meals are 5 bucks for the meal, drink, and ice cream. Thats not bad. This is a once a year kinda place for us. The coupon brought us in. Overall we were all happy with our meal.

This was my first time ever trying the On the Border brand, and was hesitant to try this establishment due to the previous reviews. I was with my boyfriend, holding his hand, and we were greeted by the most frazzled of hosts with a scuffed up, black eye and a crazy insane-asylum style blonde bouffant. And while our fingers were tightly linked together in obvious couple fashion, she asked us with her crazy, scattered eyes if we were separate and needed 2 tables??? Highly confused, we assured her that we were satisfied with simply taking our place to sit at the bar. This was beyond the best decision we could have made. Our bartender, XAVIER, immediately welcomed us to the bar with a warm and inviting smile. He took our drink orders and brought our order, along with menus right away. We tried out the Avocado Fries. I love avocado, and enjoyed them, but think they’d be a better dessert if the ends were dipped in dark chocolate. I ordered the Baja Combo, he ordered Fish Tacos. Mine was amazing, but the boyfriend’s temporary for his root canal came into a full force painful contact with a strong piece of cabbage core that was in a taco. Not to worry, Xavier came to the rescue, immediately and personally brought the manager to us, who regretfully and sincerely apologized to us, took the meal off of our bill, and even offered a free meal replacement. Extremely professional. We were very impressed with Xavier and his service, thankful for the managements professionalism, but still confused by the scary host. Food is very yummy, and definitely want to visit again, but we’ll ONLY sit at the bar. Seems too sketchy to attempt being served by the waitstaff. XAVIERMAKESTHISPLACESHINE!

Ugh. Generic, blah Mexican food… Nothing really stood out other than crappy service, bland food… Overall it just wasn’t a good experience. 1 thing that bugged me was no place mats and no plates with appetizers. Chips and salsa require a placemat or something to eat over… In an area with a ton of good dining choices, this place should be a last resort. And don’t get the kids cheeseburger(for your kids). First they use a whole wheat bun, gross, and the ‘meat’ tasted like a old frozen piece of road kill. Mexican side note… Corn tortillas are freakin disgusting…

Food quality has gone down since my last visit. Something has definitely changed. Went for Taco Tuesday and got my usual $ 2 chicken tacos, but got very little fixings on the inside on a seemingly different taco shell than before. The tacos used to be filled with chicken but now it seems that they got orders to pull it back to conserve. Everyone in my party noticed the change. Disappointing. Service was still great, as usual.

I usually go here with co-workers at lunch. It is not overly busy usually so we are able to get in and out fairly easily. The wait staff has been friendly and attentive on the times that I have been there. I have to admit that I like the food at Don Pablo’s better but this is still good. The portions are good size and the the chips are good. One thing that I do like is that the restaurant will still make dishes that you request that are no longer on the menu. The one that I like is the«Border Stacked Nachos». It will feed 2 – 3 people for lunch and is only $ 9.29!

This is a good back up plan if you are hankering some chips and salsa and a sangria swirl margarita … This is tex-mex, not true mex. They have pretty good staples and large portions. As a veggie you know how particular I can get on choices and variety. It’s ok here. Like many places their refried beans have a chicken broth base, which sucks if I don’t want black beans, again! But if I’m in the mood for a margarita I’ll choose a veggie version of a lunch size taco salad or the guacamole tacos. For everyone else there are plenty of choices. Fajitas, burritos, etc etc. The service at the location is pretty good. Servers have always been pretty friendly. One commented that she thought they had the«best fries ever» not sure what the comparison was but they were ok, but not the best ever… even according to my kids.
