After purchasing a house with a wood burning fireplace, my wife and I decided to have it professionally inspected since we have no experience with wood burning. I had read a little bit on the internet about it which mostly turned out to be inaccurate. It turns out that wood burning is not as straight forward as you might first think and there are many important considerations. J.C. provided us with the non obvious information that is needed to keep our new home safe. His information is based on the CSIA guidelines which we know we can trust with confidence. The level 2 inspection went well beyond our expectations and we now feel comfortable with the condition of our home and are excited to start enjoying our new fireplace.

Recently purchased a home and had J.C. come out and check things out. He’s a solid local business owner and knows his stuff. I had the «Level II» service (sweep and video inspection). He even invited me to come up on the roof and have a look. Well worth knowing the risks and problems with the chimney. Now I have plans to get it fixed correctly!
