Lets see where can I start. We’ve been going here for 20 years for our Christmas luncheon. Lately the service is really slow. Today it took more than 30 minutes to get my 1st beer. It was pretty flat too. My friend ordered a different«tap» beer. It was served without a head. We travel from Holly to the North to Jackson in the South. We all grew up on the Eastside. I think we’re a bunch of old farts & we need to find someplace new. It was another 30 minutes before we got to reorder. Being smarter we ordered our burgers. They were ok… you got to work at screwing up a bar burger. A new place for sure next year.

The food was good but the bartender was too busy making shots and drinking them with other employees to both pouring my draft. I guess that is what you get when you have to younger looking girls running the bar. My server was constantly speaking nasty to someone in the kitchen, I know it’s a bar but it was still over the top.

Be careful when you go. Might be a really good band, a really bad band, or really loud karaōke. Good is typical bar food and beer prices are ok, liquor gets expensive quick.

is so so, staff are competent. Only really worth going there in for the dollar burger on Wednesday but you gotta remember it’s only a burger every topping on top of it if $ 0.75 more. If your looking for a place to relax and have a drink durring happy hour till 10 pm and your 55 to 75 you’ll fit in great there. If you’re younger there’s a few places around town that can cater to you better.

I just moved to the area and looking for a local watering hole. What can be better than a local Irish pub I thought? I walked into the bar with a few locals and their favorite macro beers. Being a fan of many different beers from different flavors I asked if they had a beer menu. The bar maid said they didn’t have one. Ok, no problem I said. «Do you have any IPA’s»? We have Bells Two Hearted on tap. Nice start I thought, what Porters and Stouts do you have? «Umm, what are those» was the reply. «I know nothing about beer». This is a pub named«Duffy’s» I thought. Never mind then you obviously don’t have any I say. Well just give me some names she says rudely. I said that a Two Hearted would be just fine. The tap was clean and the beer tasted fine, but the whole time I was there the staff was bitching about the other employees and the owner. They had no issue using a lot of profanity in front of the customer which I was not offended by, but was not impressed by either. After hanging out for two beers I decided that I will look for another local establishment to quench my thirst on a regular basis as the locals seem to be more important than new clientele which is a shame as I was looking to find a place to be a regular and I don’t think this is the place for my friends and me. If I was the owner I would take a look at the employees and make a few decisions as to whom was working for me. They seem to have a lack of respect for the ownership. In addition I would take a look at introducing some beers that appeal to a larger group than a few locals. This place has a lot of potential.

Quante local bar. I usually head in on wednesdays for dollar burger day, which we’ve been lucky enough to have Loretta wait on us enough that she provides fast, friendly, and accurate service while remembering who we are and what we order. The atmosphere is like most small local bars you’d find in a small downtown setting. You’ll find all your favorite locals sitting around enjoying good drinks, sports on their many tvs, and clean surroundings. This bar is worth a stop in anyday, but definatly go f their ½ lb dollar burgers!

A late lunch after homearama tour. 1st time here. Shared a patty melt and some quesadillas. Both were good. Seems like a lot of regulars at the bar. Had an entertainment coupon, so whole lunch came to $ 13. Not too shabby

Came here for lunch and proceeded to wait almost 20 minutes for the waitress to even come to the table. After we received out order we had to get our silverware, napkins, and refills. The service was the worst I have ever had in my life. She screwed up 2 of the 3 orders at our table and got the checks wrong! I normally love coming here, food is usually really good. I’ll be hard pressed to come back.

I love the atmosphere of Duffy’s pub! Its definitely not the most fancy nor does it have the best service. But its a good place to catch a game or meet up with friends. Could do without the karaōke! Usually have a decent band playing Friday nights… 1 $ burger Wednesdays– Can’t go wrong!

A decent enough place to hang out for a few beers. The food’s been good both times I’ve been here, so I’d say give it a shot. They must’ve killed the female bartender that everyone on here was complaining about, because the one we ran into was helpful, friendly and attentive the whole time. Not on my «must return to weekly» list, but it’s on the list of places I’ll pop in from time to time.

A-ok, if you can drown out the dreadful karaōke that permeates the, mostly one side, of the bar. No wonder the side that wasn’t getting the full on attack was packed, and the other side was completely empty. Service was great, we only had a couple of beers, and could no longer take the abuse of one more horribly sung, revolting 90’s boy band song. They ought to save karaōke for weekdays, and real music for weekends. So. Over. Karaōke!

Went here to hear my favorite band«The Laughing Madmen.» It was their first performance here and the place was packed. The place isn’t huge but I like how it’s designed. Service was great and if I lived in the area this would definitely be my neighborhood pub.

Food is just OK, good lunch specials. The staff is horrible! If service and friendly people are important to you this is not your place. I have been here a couple times and will not be back. I have no idea how this bartender keeps her job. Looks away from you while you order, does not ask if you need anything or if you need another drink etc… Do not recommend.

I’m stunned and a bit pissed off to be frank. I stopped in here today around 3:00 because I’d be working late, missed lunch, and it is close to the office. The bar is fine — standard local pub with an Irish name, no problems there. Decent beer selection and menu. So what’s wrong??? I’ve never had worse service in any restaurant ever and I have a very low bar and high tolerance having worked in the food industry for a long time. The bartender came by didn’t say hi or anything. She stood there and I tried to make a little joke to no avail. I ordered a beer and asked for a menu. 10 minutes go by… no worries she is busy watching Keno with the bar regulars…15 minutes go by… no worries she is busy watching Keno with the bar regulars…20 minutes go by and yes wait is it true… nope she walks past me to the regular next to me to get his Keno slip… no eye contact or a hardy FU to me. She brings his new slip back and… yes wait is it… nope she takes another Keno ticket. Finally after ½ hour she say«what do you want?» I get a chicken sandwich after I text my boss I’ll now be late back to the office. The bell rings and my sandwich is ready. She picks it up and instead of giving it to me she stands with it talking to another regular. After a few minutes she walks up to me and tosses it at me… no «do you need anything? Condiments? How is it»…Absolutely nothing. The sandwich itself was decent-no complaints. Like a moron I tipped pretty well, I just won’t come back.

Loved it here — We’re new in town and we’ll definitely be regulars here. My wife and I don’t drink and were a bit skeptical and intimidated trying a bar out as quick meal joint. Everyone was great and there seemed to be a good mix of ages and demographics. Our waiter was outstanding — awesome customer service. I don’t think my Pepsi ever get below the half way mark. Our meal came out to about 15 bucks for the both of us and the food was really good. Try the onion rings. My burger bun was touted a bit too much — slightly burnt, but I’m a sucker for good customer service and will vouch this place. If you’re in Auburn Hills and a need a quick, good bite to eat, check ‘em out.

Duffy’s Pub has a great thing going for it — $ 1 Burger Wednesdays. Of course they charge you an arm-and-a-leg for any extra toppings, but just getting the burger plain and adding some ketchup is fine by me. $ 1 Burger Wednesdays is the reason I give the place 4-stars instead of 3. The waitstaff is hit or miss, I’ve have had excellent service right down to terrible. However, the people at Duffy’s have been very accommodating for the two large parties I have been to there, they practically rearranged half of the bar for one large party! The food is good bar food. I’ve had the burgers of course as well as different soup specials, chicken fingers, a few different sandwiches and it has all been good, but not great. Drinks have always been good and the prices are fair. The bar is clean and the bathrooms are too.

Duffy’s gets 5 stars — as rated among its peers of other local irish pubs. The place is clean, staff seems friendly, and the food was good. Had the turkey reuben and it was good all around… ingredients, taste, temperature, you name it. I’d order it again, but not before I try some of the other menu items like the fish & chips. Looks like they have regular food specials and a daily happy hour or power hour. Also have a lunch club, where you get your 7th lunch free or something like that. Worth checking out for those that work nearby. I’d like to see this place thrive and bring up the energy level of this little Auburn Hills downtown area. Several nice little establishments and hopefully more on the way!

this bar is right down the street from my house and it just opened a couple of months ago so we decided to give it a try because we received a ‘buy one get one free’ coupon in the mail. it used to be a Quizno’s and another store that were combined to make a bar. the bar wasn’t very crowded, there were some regulars at the bar, including a guy who people referred to as ‘Elvis’, he even had the sideburns and glasses going on. haha! they have daily $ 1 specials; coneys, tacos, burgers and chili. they also have ‘power hour’ every night from 9−10pm, $ 1 drafts, $ 2 well drinks. the first thing i noticed is that the beer was good and ‘clean’ tasting. sometimes when i order a draft it tastes funny. and after 9pm they were $ 1! i ordered the reuben and my husband ordered fish and chips. the reuben was very big and the corned beef was hot and tasty. the only thing was that there wasn’t really very much sauerkraut on the sandwich. i could not eat the whole sandwich. i had a bite of my husbands fish and chips and it was pretty darn good. the fries were crispy and the fish tasted good and i’m pretty sure their tartar sauce was homemade. his meal also came with coleslaw which he really liked, i thought it was just ok, not very flavorful. the bathroom was clean, but it was only 1 stall, it did used to be a Quizno’s afterall. i could see this being a bad thing especially on St. Patty’s day! i didn’t venture to the other ‘half’ of the bar, but it looked like there was a dartboard and probably another restroom since i saw people going that way. a DJ set up and was playing music around 9PM. the bar started getting busier after 9pm, i think the ‘power hour’ thing is a good idea to get people to try out a new place. overall the bar was decent, they still have a few kinks to work out but we will definitely be back.
