It’s a fun place to eat. Especially for young kids and groups. You can choose your favorite mixture and give it to the guys who cooks them very skilfully. The whole process is fun. You can make millions of different combinations and watching the guy coming your food with all those moves and those long sword like knives is amazing. You can not blame any one here for a bad food, cause you make all choices, the guys just mix and cook what you give them. And they do a great job. Service is good to. Mostly young and nice staff. It might not be perfect but they are nice enough to let you forget sabot couple of imperfections. I really like this place and highly recommend it for a fun night with friends.

Today was my second bad experience here. The service here is pathetic. My boyfriend and I waited around 10 minutes for our waitress to show up. At least 5 other servers/workers walked past multiple times noting that we had not been helped. The table next to us was also looking for said waitress, as all their drinks were empty. Ended up leaving before we were greeted by anyone.

The short: Pass until they can sort out their personnel issues. The long: I love BD’s. Have previously never had a bad experience. Decided to try this location after shopping at Great Lakes Crossing. Didn’t check the reviews because, it’s BD’s for Pete’s sake. I have some medical issues that prevent me from sitting at pub height tables, so we asked to be seated at a regular height table. Hostess attempted to seat us at a pub height table. Then, I had to explain more of my medical condition than should’ve been necessary. Finally, a seat at one of many open regular height tables. Well stocked meat, veggie, salad, spice/oil bars. Lined up at the grill, without direction. Because no one pays attention to you at the grill, unlike other locations. No biggie. Shrimp was my meat. Two cooks at the grill. Plopped my meat onto the grill. Time goes by, they tend to everyone else’s but mine. It’s starting to burn. It’s sticking to the grill. Half my shrimp is scraped into the center hole. Cleanliness: They didn’t completely clean off the grill. They didn’t spray enough spray when they did. Things burned a lot. Maybe the grillers were new. Instead of scraping the burned stuff into the hole, it sat around the hole and on the grill. Went up a second time because they burned and trashed half of my meal, the cook swiped the lady’s bowl next to me. The two eggs next to it went rolling, he didn’t care. I caught them. He gave me a dirty look. No thank you. Nothing. The manager ended up coming out, and speaking to a third cook that had showed up. The cook was heard saying something«wasn’t his job», and then a few minutes later he was gone and the manager was there. I won’t go back to this location again. Management needs to get their act together. Better employees or better leadership. This isn’t BD’s standard. Keep the drama in the back of the house.

Here’s what you can expect from this particular mongos location: –Waitresses and waiters who don’t give a shit about you –Disgusting & dirty floors, tables, seats, and bathrooms(just look at the pictures some people have posted…) –Food that tastes like it has gone bad(and probably has, since nobody seems to care at all at this place) –Disgusting undercooked rice that has the consistency and taste of what I’d imagine chalk tastes like I could go into how I had the worst experience with a waitress EVER at this location, but I won’t. However, if your waitress is a big brunette girl who looks like she wants to kill you instead of serve you, just leave. In fact, NEVER come here. The wait staff does NOT want to make you happy(this isn’t just one bad encounter, either) I’ve never felt more uncomfortable in my life than when I have to talk to the incompetent wait staff and they roll their eyes at me WHENTHEYMESSEDUPTAKINGMYORDERAND I ASKTOHAVEMYCORRECTORDERINSTEAD. In short, fuck this place.

For starters had to wait like 5 minutes for grilled to get to grill then he did not wash his hands frustrated when coming back from break something you should always do. Plus I used to work here and they stress that. Also the grill was not clean at all. Griller repeatedly touched himself, his beard and yawned unto his hands without washing and then touched my plate all the while the manager just sat there watching him. The bartender tool forever for refills. Normally this would not bother me but she was talking to her friends. The food was low quality in general and they wiped off tables into their hands without them washing their hands. Will never go back to this location. Service, food, just everything was blah. Even as I wait for my fiancé and look around this place is a mess deity floor dirty tables dirty food area garbage overflowing. Everything is just gross.

Food quality is tough because you seldct your own and the quantity so that’s a moot point. The only real aspect to rate at this point since the food is self determined is the cleanliness and service. This location gets 3 for cleanliness and a 2 for service. We have been there multiple times and its mediocre at best.

So, it’s pretty safe to say that I will not be returning to this location. We arrive here around 3:45 and were handed a lunch menu. I get a bowl of stir fry which is around $ 10 and does not include soup or salad. My boyfriend orders a side of fried rice. Waitress brings him a full order of fried rice, he tells her he ordered a side… she pretty much drops the bowl on the table and has a huge attitude about it but then says she will just charge him for the side. Ok whatever. Then we get our bill and I see that my bowl is around $ 15. Boyfriend questions her about it and she says everything is off of the dinner menu after 4. Ok… well we ordered before 4 and you gave us the lunch menu when we placed our orders. I also noticed that all dinners come with a soup and salad which she never said anything about and never brought me a bowl for soup. Really shitty service. The place was empty. Waitress did not have communication skills at all. Did not inform us it was happy hour, did not know what was on draft or bothered to check for us, and had a horrible attitude but the cook was nice at least…

We’ve been to a few different BD’s. This was the first time to this location. They were pretty busy while we were there and there were two new cooks training(one of which didn’t seem very thrilled about being there). They ran out of white fish and did not have eggs which was a bummer for me. They seemed to have a hard time keeping up with stocking the bars and keeping everything clean. There were raw bits on the counter ledge and floor all around the food bars. With that said the food was not that bad and I got the frozen Corona-Rita which is alway awesome. The fried Oreos for desert where killer. I will definitely return to BD’s again but this is not my first choice of locations.

Oh yeah, I had to accept the fact that I stepped into this restaurant with no high hopes. As I entered I was welcomed and seated by #Jess P. A warm welcome and I asked for BLUEMOON tall on tap and she introduced me to Peach schnapps on BLUEMOON. I must say this, it is a must try if you love BLUEMOON. That gave me an excellent perception towards this restaurant. I went on making my own shrimp fry and chicken noodles. They were cooked to my taste. But one thing that stands out of all, is the BLUEMOON + Peach schnapps lthat will stay in my memory for a very long time. Thanks to #Jess P for introducing me to a new flavor on BLUEMOON. I will visit soon expecting more of such exotic flavors…

BD’s Mongolian BBQ is listed twice so I this is a copy of my BD’s review. Have been a fan since they first opened 20+ years ago. Haven’t been in a while do my girlfriend and I decided to go last nigh for dinner. To start. No impressed. There was no hostess a the door to greet us. Took several minutes for her to arrive to seat us. Service, there really isn’t. So off to the salad bar. In my opinion a disaster. The lettuce was virtually empty and loaded with water. Same with the other veggies. The selection was pretty thin. In the olden days they had s much wider choice.(No black olives or any olives for example). They were out of salad dishes. Took another minutes to get. The salad tongs ended up in the lettuce and the salad dressing spoons were a mess. The salad bar was just a mess with stuff all over it. Onward to the meats and fish. Still s mess but at least it was filled. The shrimp did look pretty bad. The were not deveined.(Gross and cheap). The sauces and spiced wee also a disaster. Dribbles of sauce all over the place. There were no cups to put sauce into to take up to the grill. Can say that it was very efficient getting the food cooked. It came off the grill hot. Funny thought it had no taste. I put bunch of garlic on mine couldn’t taste it. My girlfriend noted that the shrimp had no taste. Overall I found the Auburn Hills experience to be very overpriced and the food to be tasteless. I don’t expect to be back at any of the BD Mongolian BBQ’s for a long time. It’s been a great run. Sorry BD time to move on.

Could not be worse. The place is dirty the service is bad and the seem to have gone downhill bad in the past 5 years since I’ve been here. Dirty dishes on the tables. No refills on waters. Food was gross. Hard to believe this one is still in business. I guess all the kids here begged their parents to go. Very sad. We used to go to it all the time in the late 90’s/ early 2000s

Lately I’ve been dragged back to Mongolian BBQ for whatever reason, and it’s changed since I last remember. I remember going to the one in Ann Arbor when I was in college and it seemed like such a bigger deal back then. I haven’t been back in ages, and so far this week I’ve eaten there twice! Once at this location and once at the Royal Oak. The boyfriend and decided to come here last night for dinner because we wanted to mix things up. We had a really good time, but there were some flaws here that we both felt could use some changing. For starters, we did have a good time and really enjoyed our food. 4 stars for the food alone, 3 stars for the entire experience. We grazed the menu and were happy to see that not the only thing on it was the stir fry part. I don’t remember them offering dishes before, just the stir fry, so this is a bonus. I also noticed that the prices here were much higher then the royal oak location for whatever reason, by several dollars. We went with the unlimited salad and soup bar with one make your own dish. Bonus for the fact that this place has recipe cards, because it really helps in making my meal experience better. We both walked away happy with our dinner, but the flaws were with the soup and salad bar itself. For starters, the soup and salad bar is a hot mess. There’s no order to anything, and it’s super cramped. Also, it’s poorly placed, so it’s hard to tell where it begins and where it ends. While the salad bar was clean and fresh, the options sucked! It was lettuce, shredded cheese, croutons, chic peas and a few other random items. Worst selection I’ve seen in a while. Soup bar had two soups, one was a chicken noodle soup type, and the other was something else I can’t remember. Bowls were out, and we were left standing there waiting(along with other patrons) wondering what to do next. Plus, since we were waiting, we were also blocking one of the two routes to the grill so we kept getting bumped into by other patrons. Eventually, bowls and salad plates finally came out. They ran out again when my boyfriend went back up to get another serving of salad and had to ask again when they were coming out. We noted that in our heads, not because it made us unhappy, but it was such a cluster. Poor salad bar placement, lack of salad toppings along with a consistent strain of running out of bowls and plates. We were happy with our service, experience and overall time spent here. While my interest level of this place has waned over the years, I still enjoyed my meal here better then at the Royal Oak location, I think improvements could be made as stated above. That would alleviate the problems as stated above. I will be back in the future for more, I just don’t know when.

The food is chosen by you so if you don’t like it, it is your fault. On that point, food has never disappointed us. However, the prices are now out of price range for us coming back. $ 41 with 10% — 15% tip for two of us with sodas only and no extras. For that price, we can go to slit if other places.

If you don’t like it, it is basically your own fault. You pick what you want them to cook. Word of advice. When making your bowl place the meat last. Stack you veggies or whatever and throw the meat on top. Watch the cayenne peppers. A dab will do ya. Many spices and sauces.

I have been coming here for years and I have never had as many problems as I have tonight. The food was not flipped enough, so all of the sauce was in one area. The tortillas were either old/hard or soggy. The shrimp doesn’t appear to be clean(nor has it ever, actually). The chicken has too much gristle in it. Let me be clear — usually love this spot. But not tonight…

Its been a while since I’ve been to a bd’s, and thought I would take a customer out here for a change. It was a later lunch, and it allow us to pick the food or combinations in the manner that everyone enjoys. This location is set up a little different than other locations, and I was impressed with additional protein options, including a number of faux meats. The number of pasta options have also increased. The veggy options seem smaller as well as the spices, not the sauces. They made a smart improvement with the cooking options with stickers on the counter for individuals to place their bowls — basically where to stand. The area that needs improvement is the wait staff. for a late lunch, in a half full restaurant and shrinking in people, getting the wait staff attention was a problem. From taking our order, to the getting the rice order eventually getting the check, it was not smooth or correct. Ultimately the wait staff was disinterested in us and more interested in talking to each other.

Ok, but not great. All the sauces are too bland by themselves but taste like too much blended together when you mix them. I will stick to Ghengis Khan Mongolian BBQ’s from now on. It was also super loud and everything echoes badly.

Who doesn’t like to go Mongo?! We came here with a few picky nieces and nephews who were adamant that they wouldn’t like anything here. Well they were wrong. They have a nice little kids menu with mac n’ cheese, pizza egg rolls, soup, etc. They loved watching the chef’s make our food and they got to ring the gong(numerous times). It was a good time had by all.

I am so angry and disgusted! The first thing I did upon entering was run to the bathroom. I’m almost 8 months pregnant. I go a lot. When I sat down in the handicap stall, the seat broke off, slid sideways and almost dumped me on the floor. I grabbed the hand rail at the last second and stopped my momentum. Hauling myself back up, I had the disgusting sensation of my bare butt rubbing against the pee soaked rim. So now I have no seat, piss on my ass and a toilet seat laying on the ground. I washed my hands thoroughly while battling utter revulsion at the wetness now seeping through to my pants — other people’s bodily fluids soaking into my clothing. I came out bawling and asked for the manager. I told him everything right down to the urine on my backside. He apologized. I eventually got my appetite back and ate a little. The check just came, and that ass didn’t comp a damn thing! I’m done with bd’s!
