Customers BEWARE. Please do a little research before entrusting your trees, landscaping and home to this business. I wish I could give(-) stars to this business. I am writing my personal experience on Unilocal to help others avoid a similar one. I found Mike Mathis and his business on the Internet. I needed tree trimming on one of my homes. I received 2 bids for the tree trimming. Mr. Mathis was the more expensive. When I emailed him this information he communicated he wanted to work with me and had already invested by giving me an estimate. Sounds positive, right? BWhat sold me on using Timberr Tree Services was that Mr Mathis told me he was a Licensed Arborist, TX-3586A. What he didn’t say was that he wouldn’t be doing the work, let alone be on-site when his workers were completing the project. He emailed me he was so busy that it would be 2 weeks out to complete the work, then sent me a bill 3 days later that the work was done. I thought he would of communicated better knowing I was living out of town. Long story short, my renter notified me with 36 hours(she was out of town when the work was done) of the work done that there was property damage. I don’t know how/who did it but considering where the damage was and when the trees were trimmed, there’s questionable causibility. I immediately called Mr. Mathis. At first he was very cordial about the situation and said he wanted me to be happy. The end result was a measly $ 125 off my bill and I’m left cleaning up the mess. Of course, there are a lot more details to this, but the beginning, middle and end results are the same. I do not believe Mr. Mathis stands behind his work. I do not recommend his company or his workers. They obviously aren’t supervised. Life lesson learned… don’t let trade laborers work on your home without you being present.
