I went to Dr. Rinker when I had facial swelling and asked him to remove my root canal tooth because I always had pain from it and attributed it was from the tooth. Because it it appeared healthy he was apprehensive removing it. I insisted and was very happy when he agreed to because no other dentist wanted to. It was a difficult extraction but it was without pain and it turned out that the root canal had a vertical fracture which cannot be seen in xrays and that it was a good thing that I had it removed. That Friday I felt more pain than usual so I called and was told he closes early on Fridays but he would meet me there after hours. I was so grateful for the extra mile he would go for his patients. I had formed a partial dry socket which was causing the pain. He packed it and I instantly felt relief. He even called me over the weekend to see how I was doing. My swelling returned so I went back in and he prescribed me antibiotics, meanwhile seeing me every few days to repack the dry socket. When the swelling did not get better he referred me to an oral surgeon to further investigate because he wanted to make sure it wasn’t something more serious and beyond his reach. The oral surgeon wasn’t sure if the infection was in my muscle or if I had TMJ and prescribed a stronger antibiotic. I started feeling pain again and went to Dr. Rinker and he adjusted my bite on a couple of occasions while repacking my dry socket. I was very pleased with his kind demeanor, his dedication to serving his clients, and his services. He is all around a genuine good person and doctor and you are in good hands with him as your dentist!
