Mug, small and large pitchers. For CHEAP. This is a perfect example of a great Up North Michigan bar.
When we walked in early afternoon, we were the only ones there. Nancy the bartender greeted us. Seriously though, you can’t beat $ 1.50 mugs, $ 5.50 large pitchers of Bud Light. They also had some good Michigan beers on draft as well. My first mug was a $ 3.25 Oberon. After that, we drank a couple pitchers.
Nancy the bartender was great. Being the only three people in the bar for a while, we spoke with her about the bar’s history and how she was born and raised in Au Gres. She said she had worked at the bar for more than eight years.
They have specials during baseball games. Half price cans when the Tigers score a run (one per inning). If you go, be sure to tip good as the prices are so low, the bartenders really deserve it for their hospitality at this great little bar.
