I write this review fighting tears upon the loss of a close friend. The decease’s family chose this facility for the gathering of friends and family in memory of a man who left this earth too soon and had passed away via motorcycle accident. Located in the small town of Atwater, this funeral home was adequate enough to handle the job of housing a moderately large group of mourners. However, there were ~ 40 more people that had to stand outside due to the lack of additional seating. Not the facility’s fault of course, since my friend had a lot of family, friends, and two additional groups of people that he was a part of, being a Viet Nam Vet and belonging to a HD motorcycle club. Everyone wanted to pay their respects whether they new him or not just for the fact that he was a veteran and motorcycle fanatic. The family was treated with kindness and sympathy as the memorial proceeded, and was allowed plenty of time for speakers to reminisce about the dearly departed complete with podium & speaker system, floral arrangements, and the casket covered by the American flag. Two veterans performed the ceremonial flag folding and then ended the memorial with a 3 gun salute followed by a recorded version of «Taps». This funeral home offers crematory services only. Viewing of the body was held one day, and the memorial service was held the next day. A hearse is also available if needed for transportation to a cemetery and they are partnered with«Florist One» for ordering of floral arrangements. All your funeral planning can be handled in this one location from setting up a video of your loved one’s photos for viewing, background music, selections of a casket, urn, headstone, vault, funeral programs, poems and appropriate songs. In a time of grief, you can depend on them to help you through…
