This place has a nice feel to it, actually feels like you’re at granny’s house. Although it’s a little cramped when it gets crowded. The waitresses were very attentive and friendly, even joked a little. I had a very good breakfast here bacon, eggs, country patatoes and biscuits and gravy. The biscuits and gravy were exceptionally good. The only real drawback was that the bacon was way over cooked for my tastes, I had to send it back. They replaced it and then everything was tasty. I will definitely return.

I don’t like leaving bad reviews but this place was horrible. The customer service was atrocious!!! The waitress that took our order was a hormonal racist old gal with a bad attitude. I ordered the bacon avocado burger and asked the waitress if they seasoned their patties. She said they didn’t. I politely asked the waitress for a seasoned patty. I guess I asked for too much. The waitress got really snappy and took our order aggressively. The waitress finally comes back with our order and I take a bite off my hamburger, tasteless. The worst hamburger I’ve ever had! I was very disappointed. I guess I did ask for too much after all. In addition, the waitress never came back to check on us or refill drinks. I noticed she was very attentive to the few customers that were there. Honestly, my friend & I should have walked out. For as much as we paid here, we should have gone to Deny’s or even The Almond Tree. I guess I missed the«Whites Only» sign as we walked in. I will never be coming here EVER again.

This place is the best example of small town home style food and the owner is a hoot! I would consider it the who’s who of country style food and service and the customers are always friendly and having a good time! Mean Jean makes the experience a happy and fun time!

Excellent place to go. Fair price for good, good food. A little crowded sometimes, but no waiting area, you get seated when you come in, can’t beat that. Highest recommendation!

This restaurant is great! I love their French toast; perfectly made. The waitresses are super friendly and funny. They refill your coffee every few minutes and check up on you to make sure you’re doing okay. Their biscuits are fluffy and soo tasty. Plus their prices make it so that you can enjoy eating here regularly without breaking the bank. Will definitely be back!

Horrible, horrible place. Please don’t frequent because if she gets too popular you will have to start waiting for a table. Seriously, this is our almost favorite place, and almost because it’s a town away. Storefront place, fourteen tables, wood, flower, country home atmosphere, excellent breakfast and lunch menu. You can get a very decent and yummy meal for a tenner, neither of us could finish our meals, the Joan Faul scramble is just delicious not to mention the potatoes. Attitudes are sunny and homey. Love it.

This place I’ve been to maybe twice. The food is pretty good… And the people there are nice… It’s pretty tight in there so be careful you’ve got to squeeze by tables and people… But I do think I’ll be back soon

On August 14th @ 7:00AM, we came here to celebrate our co-workers last day with us! Much of us were not your typical«morning people», but our waiter did an excellent job helping us wake up with laughs! Prior to our arrival, I called ahead of time and they did an excellent job with preparing for our arrival. The food and service was wonderful! Thank you Granny’s Pantry for making this occasion special!

The food was good but the service was horrible. There was one specific lady, older lady, who paid no attention to us what so ever, but she was around the other customers talking, laughing, and even giving hugs. We also waited for our meal for more then 30 mins. I might try this place again, let’s see if the service gets better

The décor is absolutely charming. It made the meal special. Our food was served quickly. Service was great. The food was very good with the exception of my wife’s way over done bacon. Granny’s Pantry appears to be a favorite among the locals & it is easy to see why.

We needed a place for breakfast so I Unilocal’d this place. We are out of towners and don’t know the area. Granny’s Pantry has great great service. Very attentive to the patrons. The food comes out quick from the kitchen and everything was great! Down home cooking! I recommend coming!

This place has awesome food and GREAT service. If you like down-home country cookin’, this is the place! They serve breakfast & lunch, and you can eat breakfast anytime they’re open. Most days are open 7am to 2pm. Granny’s is downtown Atwater, on Broadway Ave. My family and I have frequented this wonderful establishment since the mid 70’s, and it’s always made us feel right at home.

While driving back to LA, we were looking for a place to eat breakfast and found this wonderful local place. The food was great and for a Sunday we did not have any wait time even though the place was packed. I am not sure what the bad review was talking about but the portions were fine and even if there was a wait time that is normal in LA or any big city for any good restaurant. Also, you get what you order, so if you feel glutinous then please order more food. I am glad to have found this little hidden gem and will be returning.

One of our favorite breakfast places to eat when going to Atwater! We can eat breakfast for less than $ 25 and we get great service, good portions and eggs that are cooked to perfection. Orange juice is always fresh tasting and we have had no complaints. Service is quick and food is tasty and hot. A nice place you stop in for a filling breakfast when your going through the area! So far the only place that had gotten eggs over medium exactly right.

My family loves this place but to me it’s ehhhhhh. The seating area is small I feel crowded. Very rustic looking with lots of wood everywhere. But I think that’s what they were going for. If there is anyway I don’t have to go here I won’t. It’s not horrible by any means and it is clean with decent service. I feel their prices are a little high considering the environment and quality of food. Everything I’ve had there is just OK and if I’m going to go out and spend money I want it to be on something I can’t make better myself. When I go here I feel like I’m paying someone to give me my food and wash the dishes so I don’t have to. It’s on main street so sometimes parking can be a little difficult which isn’t horrible we all need excersize right? But like I said my family loves it so on occasion we go.

Came here on the very last day of a cross-country road trip with my boyfriend and his parents. We were tired and hungry, and literally just pulled off the highway and found this place on Unilocal. After days of hotel breakfasts this was an incredibly refreshing change of pace! The food was hot and fresh, and came out very fast. The home fries were crunchy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside, just like they’re supposed to be. Big portions for the price too, so come hungry. The service was wonderful. We had a lovely elderly woman who served us and chatted with us about our trip. She made us feel like regulars. Unfortunately we never got her name, or else I’d mention her. All in all, a wonderful little gem!
