T & J Nails

Unfortunately, I will not be returning to T & J Nails. One teen handling all the scheduling at the desk — the only one who spoke English in the whole place. Got a pedi first, lady cut me twice and then said to put my foot back in the water. Ummm… no, not risking an infection thanks. Asked for blue polish, lady brought over three different purple ones. Insisted I would like the lilac one, as it was close enough. Got my own blue but they couldn’t match the shellac to the blue I wanted for my toes. Ended up getting purples instead of blues because of lack of polish options. I also found out you shouldn’t let anyone scrape off your shellac, soak with acetone for 10 minutes instead. Ladies at T & J won’t wait for that and rush you through. Oh, and a gigantic spider (at least 2″) crawled across the floor behind the lady doing my pedi. She saw it and stomped on it… and left it there. Kind of gross and unsanitary.

Went there for my first gel manicure. I didn’t think it was too bad until a few days later it started chipping/​bubbling up near the cuticle. My friends who get gels all the time said that never happens to them. So I went to a different salon. They didn’t even believe me it was gel at first! They had never seen that! Clearly they are ripping people off here with something of low quality! Don’t waste your time or money!

Unilocal forces me to give this place a star! Went there with my friend for Mani’s. There were three women working, one BARELY spoke any English and the other two spoke NONE!
My friend had acrylics put on and the girl CUT her finger!
I’ll admit I had a special request (I’m never happy with how nail techs shape my nails so I do it myself before going in and ask them not to touch the edges, just buff the top of the nail– not difficult and less work for them at the same price, right?!?) but they couldn’t figure out what I meant and she almost started to just cut my nails off instead!
One woman had trouble applying the polish (hello, that’s your job!) and the other didn’t put the base coat to the edge so it was chipping in 2 days. I had polish on the skin around my nails– no effort to clean it up.
Will never go back!!!

Nothing about this place is sanitary… pretty sure if the health board went in here they would close them down!
