Just came all the way from Taunton to go to 24 hour diner on Thursday-Saturday, I heard about. I checked Facebook reviews and hours, online, apps. Everywhere was listed as open right now. Well I just drove all the way there for a PAPERNOTICE on the door saying hours changed! UPDATEYOURHOURSONFACEBOOKANDONLINE! Lost a customer forever by your lack of care!

This place has been there a long time. It reminds me if a truck stop, but it’s clean and comfortable enough for a diner. Good food, big portions, comfort food like American chop suey, meatloaf, burgers, clubs, breakfasts, soups etc. I wish they had more hours of business, but still highly recommended.

Service was not great. Though the waitress seemed nice she also couldn’t get our order right. To start they put myself and my 2 kids, both under 10, in a 5 person booth(ridiculously big) then we wait about 5 mins til someone approached to take drinks. We get our sodas which tasted like pure chlorine, so I asked for new ones, different types and it took another waitress to point out to her that she forgot about us(10mins later). We then order our food… mine came with a soup, or was supposed to, because the waitress never brought and then she states she realized it once my food was in front of me. My child order a hamburger. she got a cheeseburger…(good thing she isn’t lactose intolerant). Overall the food wasn’t that great and the service sure lacked as there wasn’t any remorse for the mistakes being made. I waited another 10mins for her to take my payment… This will def. Be my last time here… this place wasn’t busy and there really isn’t a reason for the mistakes. When I leave here… still hungry. I’m already planning where to grab something quick to actually fill me up and some place that actually wants my money.

Ugh, I want to give this 5 stars; I really do but… I just feel like I have to go home and disinfect, shower and throw my clothes in the washer after coming here. The booths are so grimy and seats feel like grease has been wipe on for years. The booths have this floral that just looking at it, should be at least 50 shades of grey lighter to expose the real color. The food is okay, the amounts are quite generous and the service is fairly quick but thats all the positive I can speak of. I mean I do realize this isn’t a fancy restaurant by any means. It just doesn’t seem clean. I could be wrong and I hope I’m wrong but I get this weird feeling when my husband says let’s eat breakfast at Babe’s. Ugh, pitty because they’re open 24hrs.

I’ve been coming here since I was a wee one. Always good size portions. Eva is my favorite waitress! Pancakes are huge! Home fries are yummy! And I just got the raspberry French toast and it’s outstanding. Was pricier than I expected but very scrumcious & recommended.

Good food, nice people, old place, but it has some charm in some weird way. Home fries pretty darn awesome(and I try not to eat too many carbs, not successful here!)

Breakfast served all day, how can you go wrong. Not much has changed since I was a kid, and used to go with my grandparents. I have some great memories of family dinners and breakfasts. The only gripe I have is the price of their oj. You can buy an entire bottle at the grocery store, for what they charge you for a glass.

I really don’t like here, both food and poor service. I won’t come back again.

Babe’s Place is where I would go for comfort food. But I have not been in a while so since it is open 24 hours Fri and Sat we decided to go back. I don’t know what happened but the entire meal I ordered was awful. I will begin with the omelet. I ordered the Western. I was not aware Western omelets did not come with cheese unless it is ordered extra. It was bland and flat. Not fluffy at all. Every bite I cut fell apart and I had to scrape it back on the fork. There was no seasoning at all that I could detect. The«home fries» are up. It honestly looked like the cook just sliced up a potato and fried it in a pan. They were charred, there was no salt or pepper or onion. When I bit into a piece it tasted like a plain fried up potato. The service: Our waitress was the only good thing about our meal. She was attentive, she noticed I was disappointed with the food and did what she could. She was nice and very sweet. Final thought: I will be seeking comfort food elsewhere in the future. It’s really a shame. This used to be the best late night place around.

I’ve only ever been here for breakfast, but they do serve lunch as well. A diner atmosphere with outdated décor & patrons from all walks of life. Breakfast portions are large. Food is pretty good. Price is reasonable. Service is hit or miss, but staff makes good effort to be friendly & helpful to guests. This is the second time, however, that I’ve been here & the staff is arguing with each other over duties or shifts. Not yelling, but definitely not an appropriate conversation to be having in earshot of your patrons; i.e., swearing(this is a family environment). This time around I had the mushroom Benedict; mushrooms were perfection, hollandaise was good, eggs were a tad over-poached, homefries a little underdone. Hubby had an omelet; omelet was excellent, homefries were unseasoned, but easily remedied w/a little salt & pepper. One of my sons got the hash Benedict & had no complaints. My other son had the Country Boy(pancakes); Holy Deliciousness, Batman! So huge, he had leftovers for 2! My daughter got a waffle: loved it, but couldn’t finish it either. All in all, I would come back because the food is good & the portions are large… I get 2 meals out of it. Gave 3 stars because of the swearing & a few minor inconsistencies w/quality of dishes. Will ask for manager if I hear arguing again… just so unprofessional.

I got my go to when I go to a different breakfast place and can’t make up my mind… corned beef hash with eggs over easy. Our breakfast came out so quick! I think it took 5 minutes! They’re «hash browns”/homemade potatoes were different, they were thick slices almost like chips. I enjoyed them… my coworker not so much. Prices were cheap!

I love Babe’s. The prices are cheap, and the portions are huge. I have had their breakfast and I have had their lunch/dinner. Everything you order is a large portion, and will definitely leave you full and satisfied when you leave. You get an added bonus when you get something from the lunch menu — because some of the items(all that i have ordered) come with a salad and a soup — and then you get a really large portioned meal. Most of the time I get the fettuccine alfredo — which comes with a salad, soup, and it looks like almost a pound of pasta for the meal. They are open 24 hours on the weekend, so you can fulfill all your munchie needs. I have never had a bad experience. I wish they didn’t close so early on non-weekend nights — there have been several times on a Sunday night me and my boyfriend have wanted to get a good, quick bite at Babes, and they have not been open! :(

I don’t remember the food here being this good! Greek omelette was great and the pancakes were thick and fluffy. The bacon was the best I’ve had in awhile. I don’t want to sound pretentious because I’m not big on ambiance in diner-style restaurants. But if I’m being honest the décor needs a major facelift and clean sweep. Wanted to cry watching one of the waitresses fix her hair at the counter where the food window is. Also here is something insane– ONE glass of apple juice for $ 3.45. Almost four dollars! I posted a picture of the receipt for proof because its unbelievable.

A throwback to the days of yore, before dining became a homogeneous blur of identically mediocre franchises. Portions as big as the floors are dirty, a greasy spoon in name and cutlery alike. Not at all recommended if you’re in search of a sterile laboratory environment to daintily relieve yourself, but if you’re looking to tackle a mountain of benedict and don’t care for pretenses, Babe’s is the spot for you. Especially when there is a 30 minute wait at every other brunch jam on a Saturday morning, but Babe’s is inexplicably empty.

This is exactly the type of place you would imagine when you think of a diner. Don’t let the older, rundown look fool you, the menu is expansive and food is fresh and flavorful. We had a diner favorite, mozzarella sticks which did not disappoint and greek chicken wrap which had a ton of chicken and the dressing was great. I would recommend it to people who want the diner feel with a number of choices from breakfast to dinner. The prices were higher than a typical diner, but not too overpriced.

I have been to Babe’s Place many times through the years. I especially go for their whole belly fried clams. They are golden, crisp and delicious. The portions are above average and the waitresses and kitchen staff are very accommodating of special food preparation requests.

Nice people and cheap, tasty food. It’s a diner. People looking for a classy ambiance shouldn’t be going to a diner. Diners are for local folk and cheap food. Overall I love the place. Breakfast is delicious and the portions are large. The patty melt for lunch is awesome too.

It was my first time at Babe’s and I was very impressed. As busy as it was, we were seated right away. The waitress was very quick to acknowledge us and periodically check in. The menu is amazingly large and filled with tempting options. I chose the sausage eggs Benedict with the white sausage gravy. It was delicious as it sounds. The portions are enormous. Do I have a small complaint? Yes. Their home fries are so bland, plentiful, but bland. Could use some paprika and black pepper.
