Had lunch here and it was surprisingly better than I thought it would be. The queso is amazing. Ask for extra bread and dip away. But that’s where it ends for me the queso and desert is the best. The actual meal can be better. The workers are very resourceful and helpful as well. Not bad

The first waiter we ever had was Hamilton, and he was amazing. We are always so pleased when we come here and I love the concept of making the food right there on the table. The cheese and chocolate(and entrees) are obviously to die for as well. Had a lot of good memories here.

Went here for my birthday, the food was alright and the waiter was nice enough but bit rude for my preference. This restaurant is more about an experience than actually enjoying good food. I would come back again but if I had known there was a VIP room I would have reserved that the first time.

A fun experience and pretty good tasting options but way too expensive. Our meal for 5 people-which did not include any alcohol and 2 people only got 2 of the 4 courses– cost over $ 180. They have some gluten free options– as many of the fondues can be made gluten free– but not nearly as many as some of the other Melting Pot locations have. Other locations have gluten free bread and brownies while this location only substituted bread for tortilla chips and had no substitution for the baked goods for dessert. As far as favorites go, we love the house salad(the house dressing is great) and both the Fiesta and Spinach Artichoke are great for the cheese course. You can’t really go wrong with anything in the chocolate course, it’s all delicious! If you’re looking to save a little money, I would actually skip the pain course and stick with cheese and chocolate for sure, plus the salad if you’re feeling hungry. And if you’re vegetarian, I would definitely say the same because the main course is not very vegetarian friendly and the veggies end up coming out pretty bland.

We come here every year around this time… Food is always delicious. This time we only had cheese(artichoke and spinach… And bacon and brie) and chocolate(s’mores and Ying yang) for lunch and my sister and I had 3 kids with us. Everything was delicious and went perfectly. Our waitress, SARAH, was super nice and very patient with the kids. We really enjoyed our meal here. Thanks!

It was our families first experience and Shawn made it incredible. He walked us through the menu every step of he way. The food was fantastic. We tried so many new things and stayed for about two hours relaxing and having a good time since the place was not busy at the time. Truly made some great memories and will return again for both the food and service. Thank you!

Food is still good, it’s still fun to fondue, but the service has taken a turn. For a franchise, they always seemed to try to go above and beyond and I’m not seeing that anymore. I really like to come here once or twice a year for sentimental reasons(that first date 6+ years ago!), but it’s just seems like everyone there is… tired? I’m not sure if that’s the right word, but I can’t find another one to fit. I will definitely review again when I next visit.

Understated place, in the Tanger Outlets block. We took refuge from the impending hurricane Joaquin. It looked empty from the front, but when we got in past the wine cellar, we were greeted by cozy booths and there was civilization in there. Particularly a cute 2 year old who walked past us a couple times with his dad. We didn’t have to order much as just an order of cheese fondue, seafood and chocolate for dessert was more than enough for us. They had a 4-course dinner special but it was not only expensive per person, of about $ 40 per person, but we weren’t that hungry. It doesn’t seem like a place that would be that expensive. We had a good time and I’m always a sucker for cheese and had always wanted to have fondue for a while, so it was perfect. If you feel like a different dining experience and even do some of your own cooking, try this place in between shopping and casino breaks.

This location of the Melting Pot is listed on OpenTable’s website, where they take reservations. On this same app, the restaurant offers byob with free corkage if you mention«Open Table.» As we are being seated, carrying a bottle of wine, we mention«Open Table» to the hostess, and mention the byob offer. In a very combative, condescending tone, she tells us that we are wrong. The Melting Pot does not offer that, and that it makes no sense since they sell wine. I try to tell her nearly half of the restaurants on the list which offer byob sell wine, but she doesn’t listen. Instead speaking over us, and repeating how we are wrong. After speaking to the manager, we are indeed correct, and they honor the offer. But this was a terrible way to do business, and an awful beginning to our meal. We were seated at 7:20, and finally got our appetizer by 8:30. We received our entrée at 9:00. Needless to say, the service was incredibly slow. The waiter was very friendly at least, but this didn’t make up for the slow service. Food was good. We have been to this location 5 – 6 times and this was our worst experience, which may be enough to never return.

We have been to a few melting pot locations in NJ and PA. The setup of this one though was average as compared to our other experiences. Most melting pots we went to had a booth setup, so we enjoyed the extra privacy. This one however is open. We did see a few booths, however not sure if those need reservations or if your party size needs to be bigger. We were 3 people. The hostess, server and waiter were all friendly and helpful. No problems there. Food wise, it’s consistent with all other melting pots we’ve been to, so nothing to describe really. Andouille sausage and chicken breast were our entrée selections. Both pretty good. We tried the fiesta cheese for our first course. The portion could’ve been bigger for the price we paid. Bread and cheese is just such a perfect combination. You also get vegetables(Broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. Carrots were frozen and could’ve been fresh!) Overall, a good experience. No complaints! Good service, good food!

If you have ever been to a Melting Pot then you know what you are getting from the get go because there really is not much variation in the food. If the food is bad it is really of your doing. My review is of the staff; I have been to the Atlantic City location a couple of times and every time I go we have had AMAZING waiters/waitresses. They are very attentive, friendly and willing to strike up small talk while setting up the fondue pot which really made it feel like they care about the patrons. This is just a shout out to the Atlantic City Melting Pot staff.

Loved it — food was amazing and service was great! Would defiantly go back. The portions were perfect as there was room for desert! The experience was neat as you cook your own food.

When I need a break from writing fan fiction for popular children’s shows, I head to The Melting Pot in Atlantic City, NJ. You can park in one of the abandoned casinos’ parking lots and save a few bucks. Cha-Ching! Now you can upgrade your meal and not feel guilty. Now, writing fan fiction isn’t as lucrative as you might think. So, I had to use a groupon. And I’m glad I did because I was able to get a lobster tail. In fact, the whole experience was the inspiration for my greatest script yet, «The Octonauts Visit Atlantic City and Eat a Lobster.» When you need a break from writing your fan fiction, or if you just need to get away from your five cats, get in your Ford Fiesta and roll on down to the Detroit of the East Coast for a fondue dinner fit for a regional award winning fan fiction writer. PS– would’ve gotten five stars if they had delivery

The melting pot is the perfect date night to go on without the kids. This location is our favorite because they have small private rooms with sliding glass doors which gives a very private romantic feel. we have been to several different melting pots but this location is by far our favorite. Unfortunately it is 2 hours from our house so we do not get to come often. Last night we went to celebrate my husband’s birthday and had the best experience. Our waiter was Sean and he was amazing! He was very attentive and provided exceptional customer service! He really helped make our night special. Next time we come down I would love to have sean again as our waiter! For those that have not been to the melting pot, it is not your typical restaurant and not everyone enjoys the experience. It is a little pricy but worth every penny. My husband and I get the 4 course experience. The cheese fondue is our favorite course. You get bread, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and granny smith apples to dip into the cheese fondue of your choice(our favorite is the cheddar cheese). Absolutely delicious! Next you get your salad. Your entrée course you pick which type of meats you would like to cook in your broth. I love the steak lovers(three different type of steaks) my husband is a fan of the land and sea(chicken, steak, and shrimp). We just get the complimentary broth. Our advice is put your potatoes, mushrooms, and broccoli in first. We usually let them cook and cook and eat some of our meat first. The waiter will explain the cook times.(Sea is usually 1 ½mins, meats 2−3min depending on how well done you want them cooked) we usually use our phone as a timer. With your entrée you get 6 different sauces.(Teriyaki, blue cheese, curry mustard, and 3 other ones I can’t remember). For dessert you get to decide the type of chocolate you want for dipping fruits, pound cake, brownies, and marshmallow into. You can’t go wrong with any of your choices! Expect to spend almost 2 hours here for your dining experience. Expect to spend $ 40+ /pp if you decide to do the 4 course experience.

Let’s begin by saying that we are not real big on Atlantic City as we do not drink, our gambling is limited to two or three times a year at Parx in Pennsylvania and the headliners at shows in AC are not our style. That being said, our experience today at The Melting Pot was wonderful and our server, Shawn made it even more so. I have not had fondue since 1971 at my cousin’s home and I still get nauseous every time I think about it. This meal was delicious! Shawn explained everything that was going to happen and walked us through the entire meal. Great appetizer cheese dip. Salad was fresh and crisp and I recommend the Caesar. Since we has a Groupon gift from our daughter and her kids from Christmas, we had the 4 course dinner for four and a sampling of shellfish, chicken and beef, along with some filled pasta. Plenty for an adult with an appetite. Coffee and dipping chocolate with fruit and pastries rounded off the meal and we took half the pastry home. Worth the trip to Atlantic City even if you just go for the meal and don’t forget, you will have to pay to park so drive past the restaurant, through the next light and turn right into the valet parking. Regularly $ 10 but half price if you eat at The Melting Pot. And tell Shawn we said hello.

Delicious! The wait staff is very knowledgable on what to order for a first visit. Perfect portions as to not have that«stuffed» feeling while enjoying a course meal. The wine selection is also fantastic. My only complaint while it’s delicious and high quality, it’s quite expensive. But, hey anything worth having that’s great you have to spend a little money for!

Came here for an anniversary dinner. Food was great, they have a wide selection of fondue. as far as the food… They call it «the experience» for a reason We started off with the cheese fondue, really cool that it was prepared tableside. Next was the salad, fresh crisp spinach served with the melting pots signature salad dressing. For dinner they have so many choices, cooking style(how you want your meat or seafood marinated), all types of meats, chicken and seafood for your fondue. Served with fresh potatoes, mushrooms and veggies. They also serve 6 different house made sauces with your dinner fondue. Teriyaki steak was very tender and flavorful. Lobster was on point. Our server was great. He explained everything in detail and was very patient in explaining all the different fondue options. He also gave us a «happy anniversary» card, which went over really nicely with the wifey… nice touch!

This is one chain that I had never visited before but had always peaked my curiosity. Since it was convenient to the outlets and the convention center, my friend and I booked a reservation last night. Our server, Brian, was really helpful in explaining the menu and how it works. When we asked if it was OK to skip over entrees, he said that plenty of people do just that — and that they hold«Girls Night Out» once per month offering the fondues/salad mix. As such, we went for the cheddar fondue, caesar salad(me)/house salad(friend), and mixed dark and milk chocolate fondues for our third course. All three were delicious, but we had clear biases toward the cheddar fondue. As in, we dunked our bread and sides in that stuff so much that we actually ran out and found ourselves twiddling our thumbs and trying to decide if we should eat the leftover bread by itself.(We did.) By the time we got to the chocolate fondue, we were happy but stuffed beyond measure. Thank goodness we skipped those entrees! I’d definitely recommend this place for a fondue fix.

I love the Melting Pot, but I hate the pricing to food ratio here. The prices are a little high for raw, uncooked food. Luckily the Melting Pot participates in Atlantic City’s Restaurant week, so people on the cheaper side get to experience the wonders of the Melting Pot! The lunch deal is awesome for under $ 16 you receive a salad, a selection of meats/fish/pasta, and a dessert pot! I always get the California salad– it’s one of the best salads I’ve ever had. While my favorite dessert pot is the cookies and cream marshmallow dream– delicious! Before you make a reservation– make sure you schedule out at least an hour and a half for your meal. The Melting Pot is an experience and cannot be rushed. Customers do all their own cooking, which takes some time if you don’t want to eat raw meat. I’ve been going to the Melting Pot for a few years now, and during my last trip I learned that you can request additional chocolate dipping snacks for FREE, yes for free. If only I had known this earlier I never would have left any chocolate in the bottom of my pot! The Melting Pot is has a very intimate atmosphere, so even if the restaurant is crowded you feel like you are the only table there. During my last visit I was seated at a half booth down a small hallway which was awesome. The service there is also awesome– everyone is super friendly . The dessert pots are reasonably prices, and you can get away for under $ 10 a person. Could be a fun activity or date night!
