I stopped by this place because I was craving sweets and decided to try their homemade ice cream. I had the moose tracks which is vanilla ice cream with chocolate, peanut butter, and mini peanut butter cups mixed in and the mint chocolate chip. Both were fairly good. My friend had pecan butterscotch which she enjoyed. She also got chocolate covered bacon which she liked. The main attraction of this place seems to be the fudge which we did not try but they had a nice variety of flavors. The staff were very friendly. I will definitely be back my next time in AC!

You can’t come to Atlantic City and not have a little bit of Steel’s fudge or taffy. This particular outlet is located very close to where I’m staying, so I trudged over for my fudge. I just get a tiny little creamy slab — any more and I’d either have to 1) share with someone or 2) eat it all in one go. As for the saltwater taffy, I stay away but they sure look pretty with all the little pastel colors and flavors they offer.

Chocolate covered bacon. Enough said. But, I’ll tell you a little more anyway. They have a giant assortment of fudge and saltwater taffy. They have flavored licorice and the chocolates(including the bacon). Clerk was polite and helpful. Place was well stocked.

There’s nothing like chocolate fudge to lift your mood. I like that you can buy little pieces of several flavors to make your own assorted fudge box. Yummy!

I go to Atlantic City once a year for a company trip. Every time I go I MUST go search for Steel’s Fudge. I always go there for 2 things: their licorice mixture and the dark chocolate nonparelis. The fudge is just merely second best because my overall favorite fudge is made in New Hampshire but their fudge is very good. Can’t wait ’till next year…

One word, Excellent. The mint chocolate fudge was perfect and sweet. The chocolate peanut butter fudge was delicious as well. I also bought several pieces of strawberry taffy and I must say that the taffy was better than Fralinger’s. The staff at Steel’s Fudge was 100 times friendlier than the staff at Fralinger’s. The staff at Steel’s Fudge was very helpful and patient. I will definitely make Steel’s Fudge my fudge and taffy destination.

Their fudge is amazing. I am never dissapointed by their product. I also tried the milk chocolate covered bacon, which was good but way overpriced– i think it was $ 3.99 per strip, I can’t recall but it was some ridiculous price like that. Not worth it for something that you can easily make at home but probably wont.

I stopped by here for my first try of fudge in Atlantic City since apparently it’s one of those unique things to do when you’re there. It’s a small room where one side is the walkway and the other is display cases of different flavor fudge. They don’t give out any samples. The cheapest/smallest amount of fudge you can get is ¼ lbs which doesn’t look like that much but it is more than a few bites. I don’t recall how much it cost me. A few people could share it for sure if each person is just looking to taste. I tried the vanilla flavor which was too sweet for my palette. I think that all fudge in general is too sweet for me. It seemed that Steel’s is famous for their fudge given it’s their specialty so I would recommend coming here to get your fudge fix at in Atlantic City.

wonderful fudge, basically the best I have had anywhere. try the pumpkin fudge! Pistachio and coconut are also great. Friendly employees who make an effort to explain the options to you, in summer many are college students from Eastern Europe or elsewhere, many of whom are quite charming. If you are bad at making decisions, just get the vanilla chocolate swirl, at least that is the advice I have gotten from a pretty Russian girl working here on a couple different occasions…

Another name for fudge is Steels Fudge, just like James is salt water taffy. Since I could say the word fudge it was Steel’s. The many flavors, the clean bright stores and so many types too. If I am not in Atlantic City I order it on line. Try it and you too will be a Steel’s fan

Closest to my Mom’s homemade I’ve ever had. It’s smooth and yet slowly melts with a bit of a crumble in your mouth. #1 in my book!

It’s right on the boardwalk, smells delicious inside, and two pieces of fudge plus four sticks of taffy equals three dollars. Sold!

I love fudge, but i really can’t say ive had a multitude of different levels of quality ranging from buys at any jersey shore and six flaggs. I have to base my experience around price then and whether the fudge was stale. Price was above average but not ridiculous. Taffy was highly priced and according to them they invented it, but who cares the stuff still tastes the same like in shop rite brands. Its alright, but fudge is fudge.

The guy selling me my fudge was nice and let me sample some before purchasing. The different styles/flavors of fudge can be pretty good however, some may be a bit too sweet!

Who doesn’t like fudge? And if you don’t… wait don’t leave yet because there is something for everyone here… I frequently come to the Tropicana in AC. and I love walking on the boardwalk, enjoying the scenery, looking at the ocean, people watching, and especially walking to Steel’s… I truly believe it brings me gambling luck every time. And no trip is complete with a stopover… There are soooo many different types of fudge, and you will be allowed to taste it if you ask nicely and don’t look like a thug… show them you are definitely buying and they will let you taste a few of their flavors. I always thought of fudge as something I probably wouldn’t go for until I tasted the Peanut Butter fudge… yummm They also have taffy, but I am convinced I don’t like taffy so I refuse to try it and because I don’t want to waste any room in my belly for my favorite item in the store… CHOCOLATECOVEREDPRETZELS in milk chocolate. I don’t know what it is about these pretzels, I used to make dipped pretzels too but in no way do they compare, the chocolate is on a level that Hershey himself wouldn’t even be able to reach. The thickness of the choc late is also perfection… leaving you with just the right amount of pretzel and chocolate in one bite… There are also pretzels covered in candy, chips, M&Ms, etc. The store has many AC postcards, old fashioned candy or rather classics — Swedish fish, gumballs, licorice, etc. There is also a WIDE selection of sugar free chocolates. and girls be wary just because it is sugar free doesn’t mean it is fat free although it will help you go the bathroom at least =) Slightly pricey so watch the weight of the items you choose…
