Blah!!! Pizza looks better than it tastes… I like tangy sauce… not here though… greasy and tasteless. Sorry… never stop at the first place you see…

Their slices are big, and prices are even bigger. I enjoyed my XL slice, I’ve never really had something like that outside of NYC. I think I paid over $ 10 for a slice and a soda. Or somewhere near that. But I’m not gonna lie, that slice was good. Pizza looks better when it’s bigger, and that’s a fact.

Looking for the biggest slices of pizza you can find? Look no further than Papa T’s. You have to respect what these boardwalk«restaurants» do. They work in hot kitchens on hot beaches with no AC, and crank out hand crafted, freshly made food. Papa T’s sells both individual slices as well as whole pies which come in large or what they call(and really mean) xxxll. They also sell their pizza by the slice, and each slice is equivalent to about three slices of their large pizza, and mind you their large slices are about 1 ½ times the size of your average chain pizza slice. This is definitely pizza you have to eat the right way, I.E. fold it and bite. It was actually pretty amusing to watch the foreign visitors who had no clue how to eat New York style pizza, and were trying to hold and eat it like a regular slice. Taste wise, it was great. Authentic pizza made with fresh dough and fresh toppings. It had a nice tomato and garlic flavor to the sauce, which was balanced perfectly with the cheese so that neither overpowered the pie. I thought the crust was a tad bit too dry, but the misses really enjoyed it. It’s a shame they don’t have pizza like this in Virginia.

Yes, the slices are HUGE, at $ 5. Taste – ok, not the best. Thin crust. Spinach boli was obviously not fresh spinach, but tasted decent. Chicken cheesesteak was ok, but would’ve been tastier if they toasted or grilled or heated the roll even a little. No soap or lights in the men’s bathroom.

Just happened to find this place on a random walk up the boardwalk, and noticed that they serve huge slices here. It was a perfect way to grab a bite to eat before we had to get back to our car for the expressway ride. The slice was big, the toppings were abundant, and the flavor was just good enough. It didn’t bowl me over, but it did the job well. It’s a huge slice for over three bucks. You get your money’s worth if you’re willing to spend. But in the end it’s boardwalk pizza. It’s not Rome. It will do the trick if you want to sit on the boardwalk with a friend and a slice talking about life.
