Went here for a bacon egg and cheese. Server was kind and service was fast. Definitely a great family owned business to stop in for a quick bite. Food was extra hot!

Tried to have breakfast here my last morning staying at Atlantic Palace, but it was not open. I wish I could review the food, but it was not open. I wish I could critique the service, but it was not open. It is the off-season … Maybe that’s why it was not open. It had been open some of the days I stayed there, but just not that day(Wednesday).

This place is very simple, great people, the servers were all friendly. Great place for breakfast. The food was good and quick. This is not a five star expensive restaurant. The prices are perfect, low cost. Enjoy the food and people.

Reason For The One Star: Fun Fact: Someone recommended this place to us. We went to the diner at 11:00am and was told to sit down to wait on someone to take our order. Fine with me. There was about 13 customers who came in and were able to get their order, after my boyfriend told the busboy we were here before everyone. The bus boy shrugged as if it was something normal. I’m trying to diffuse the situation because my boyfriend has waited himself so he always feels insulted when waiters don’t do their job. Finally the waiter finally came to us. This man had to be 65 years old with a hearing problem. We told him that we did not order yet and what does he do? Walks away and take another order. As we observed him taking the orders of customers who just walked in we saw that he has no paper to take orders and he kept on going to the tables he had already spoke to, repeating their order. I felt like I was in a time capsule waiting for him to take my simple order. My boyfriend is from Brooklyn and he is very vocal. 15 minutes went by and he grabbed my hand and left. We went Gyro Souvlaki and we told them about our situation and they gave us a great experience. Advice: 1. Wait staff should always have a pen and paper, not just a good memory. 2. Wait staff should be able to go to tables from who came first to last not whoever he feels like talking to. 3. I’m not ageist, but the oldest person in the business is waiting on people while the 20 something year old guy is a bus boy? The bus boy was paying more attention to us because he was so alert without being overwhelmed. When we tried to get the waiter’s attention, he would become frustrated. Oh I’m sorry I didn’t mean to interrupt you, I thought that was your job. My apologies.

Expect to wait 10 minutes for a drink and then another 20 to order. They use plastic plates and utensils. Granted there are not many options for diner breakfast around it may be worth the wait but AVOIDTHISPLACEIFYOUWANTTOGETTOTHEBEACHTHATDAY.

I wanted to love this place, the owner Bill is a great guy. But it just comes down to the food. The server was good, extremely busy dealing with the hungover crowd(myself and company included), but got our order quickly. Standard breakfast fare: eggs, pancakes, the whole nine. I got the corned beef hash, my friends got an egg sandwich and some ham and eggs. Our food took a little while, the place was pretty full. The food was what we needed, something hot and greasy to level us out. But it was just ok. Nothing to write home about. But Bill came over, remembering us from the night before and busted our chops a little. I’d come back just for that.

Probably the worst meal I’ve ever had. I ordered the fried shrimp platter with fries which looked edible but I quickly forgot what I was eating after the first bite. The«fried shrimp» was SOAKED in grease I couldn’t even taste the shrimp. Even the plastic cups they served our water in were sticky and sweet on the rim. My friend ordered a medium rare burger that came completely burnt. The cheese fries were drained in liquified cheese that made them extra soggy. The only reason we went to this place was because somebody on the boardwalk recommended it. I guess some people don’t know what good food tastes like.

Looking for a quick spot to grab breakfast food and this was it! Right off the boardwalk, this place has pancakes, French toast, breakfast wraps and sandwiches. I had the egg breakfast with sausage which comes with yummy house fries and 2 pieces of toast which was already buttered to my liking. Coffee is not free refills, but that’s ok for the price. We came in with only 20 minutes to eat and this place was perfect timing. We were quickly greeted by a nice spanish-speaking lady who offered us seats and drinks. 5 minutes later, a male waiter came to take our order. My bf tried to order the breakfast wrap, but the waiter advised him on the omelette served in a tortilla wrap instead since it would be heartier. That is exactly what he wanted so he was happy. I didnt come in expecting great service, but was happy with the quick experience.

The place is a greasy spoon, but you’d never guess that from the prices, which are quite a bit higher than you’d expect from the menu and the type of place it was. I ordered 20 wings, which cost $ 18.95. This is about $ 5 more than you’d expect to pay for 20 wings, but I wouldn’t have minded it if the wings were actually good. The wings were overcooked, a result of the too busy chef forgetting about them in the deep fryer until they almost caught on fire. I ordered them hot. They weren’t spun in the hot sauce(as wings typically are) but it looked like the sauce was just poured over the basket. The result was the top wings were laden with sauce and the bottom wings essentially were tiny pieces of flavorless, burnt fried chicken.

Very small, quaint & family owed spot that appears to be Greek run. Our server was very nice and responsive in taking our orders quickly. One of my friends speak Greek & the server spot perfect Greek although he wasn’t Greek so great spot. I’m not a fan of plastic eating utensils but that didn’t take away from the food. Great coffee, French Toast was very fresh & delicious. My friends had home fries, a burger(passable) and the feta cheese omelet that were all good. Would recommend & I would visit again.

Good diner greek style type food in atlantic city. greek dude who takes orders is awesome. i ate here once and… i was chuckling and eating as this couple were verbal back n forth with dude ordering… but check it. its not rocket science you order, you eat and pay… past negative reviews seems like they wanted a hand job, smile and fed the food. Come on! Its effing atlantic city casino boardwalk… other negative reviewers are just upset they took a loss at the casinos, you can tell! lol

Definatly would not return. Diner seemed ok but after looking around & seeing the stove, I didn’t trust anything that had to be cooked. I stayed safe and ordered the daily fruit cup & blueberry muffin. Fruit was disgusting. It happened to be watermelon that day, which is one of my favorites. However, I was nauseated when I took a bite and tasted a mix of ham, sausage and juice. Guessing the fruit was cut on the same board as the two meats I mentioned, or even the same knife which could be VERY dangerous. Muffin was extremly moist, to the point where the top looked as if it was dipped in water. Service was also very slow & rude. Like I said, defiantly would not return.

So i eat out many times a weeks and was on vacation in atlantic city, staying at the atlantic palace. This diner is in the atlantic palace and despite the negative reviews i was going to give it a shot. As soon as i walked in the door i was told i could not be served because i had coffee from an outside place. So i told her i wasn’t throwing it away and asked if i could make a to go order. The lady told me no as a male cook talked back an forth about allowing me to buy there food. I thought this was absurd and told them i thought it was crazy they were turning money away bc i had a coffee and i wasn’t going to beg to buy there food. I am staying in Ac for the week and will not spend a penny in this place. VERYPOOR customer service and i wont be surprised if they go bankrupt.

This place is your typical diner. Quick, delicious breakfast served here. I had ham, cheese and onion scrambled with english muffin and coffee. Most good! My compatriot devoured a chicken cheesesteak with all the fixins. All for under a twenty spot. Good value, great food, reason for the bad rap

I’m not sure if others had this experience, but we were charged ~11/12 $ on a «service fee»?? It was about 18% of the total bill and I was pretty upset about this. We treated it like the tip and played the $ 70+ bill and left. I know some restaurants apply gratuity for bigger parties because poor tipping is a problem(normally 8 or more). But they literally just brought you food the first time around and never came back around until the check. There’s no water refilling, etc. You can buy soft drinks and water bottles here. I asked for water and got a plastic cup. Not to mention we weren’t a bigger party?(5 of us) The food is just okay. Convenience is the greatest attraction.

What a life saver on a Sunday morning. It’s right on the boardwalk which is terribly convenient. The food looks awesome for breakfast. I got a bacon, egg, and cheese which was out of this world. I want to come back for some toast and french toast(I guess I have a bread addiction?). The coffee was ok but they give you ‘to go’ cups. The service was very slow though and a little frustrating. Great place for what I needed but not the best.

I stayed at the Showboat last weekend and found this spot when we took a Saturday morning walk down the Boardwalk. There were a fair number of available tables when we arrived but they filled up before we left. This place is probably really jumping once the warmer weather hits. Breakfast was good. They had a good variety of offerings(but no Scrapple?!) and our food arrived quickly after ordering. My Western omelet was great and my husband enjoyed his pancakes. We thought it a bit strange that they only had disposable plates and cutlery but I don’t mind eating with a plastic fork when the food is good. You’d be disappointed if you need constant attention from a waiter/waitress but if you’re looking for a decent meal and good coffee, this would be a good place to stop. I’ll return here during my next AC stay.

I don’t understand the previous bad reviews for this place. I think it rocks! I was spending a few days at the Showboat Casino/Hotel for a business convention and the food there is HORRIBLE. After my second night of clubbing, I was dying for a good breakfast — you know, something fatty, sweet, and greasy — like French Toast with Bacon or Ham or something like that. I knew that wasn’t available at the Showboat so I took a late morning walk down the Boardwalk when I stumbled upon this diner. They had a nice menu board outside on the boardwalk with French Toast dominantly displayed on top. I took a look inside and it looked more like a Jewish deli than a Diner, but it was clean and full of people, so I decided to give it a try. Three steps into the diner and I was handed a menu by one of the waiters. I asked if I just find a table myself and he said yes. Within minutes of sitting down another waiter came by to take my order. I had 3 slices of French Toast with Ham, a small Orange Juice, and a glass of water. 5 to 10 minutes later, my order was efficiently placed before me by another friendly server. No one was rude to me in the slightest. In fact, I thought it was a very comfortable and friendly place. All totaled, with tip, it came to $ 12.00 which I thought was a little on the high side, but I don’t eat out for breakfast much so I don’t know. Considering I haven’t had French Toast in YEARS and was absolutely craving it, it was perfect! Of course, it was your basic diner french toast, which I slathered in butter and syrup. The ham was thin slices which were fried on the griddle. OMG. It was so good. I can honestly say this was the best meal that I ate during my three day stay in AC. I would definitely return here.

All I can say is the staff and owners of this place are rude rude rude. Basically these people act as if their blessed with the best food, no buddy you just have a good location. If you were forced to compete on quality and service you would be out of business. They are only making money b/c of the convenience of their location. The waiter screwed up my order, did everything wrong, the food came out half undercooked the other half overcooked. The waiter was rude too when I asked for water. I ordered eggs over medium with homefries welldone and sausage links. One egg was fried/burnt well done, the other was a runny mess. The sausage links were cold and looked like mystery meat. There was a small puddle of grease on the bottom of my Styrofoam plate. What set me over the edge was when the old man acted like the soup nazi from seinfeld. They have signs plastered«no outside food or drinks» which I understand if you were sitting down to eat and you brought food and drinks from the outside. But a lady came in hold a tray of coffee from dunkin donuts, she was placing a order for 4 – 5 egg sandwiches. The guy said in a nasty tone, «NOFOODORDRINKS» as he pointed to the sign, she looked at him and said I am placing a order. He said«TAKEYOURDRINKSOUTSIDE» But in a nasty way. She basically said FU, walked out… What kind of idiot runs their business like this, if they had half a brain, they take the take out order regardless what food/drink you are holding. If he was nice he could have gotten the order and she would have moved on. If someone were to sit down to eat pizza and drink dunkin but only order toast from him. I would understand. Bottom line I was warned by staff in the local area not to goto that place but we were crunched for time and had to eat and run. I would never go back based on principal. Stay away!

Let’s continue or tour through the cavalcade of horrors that is the Atlantic City Boardwalk, shall we? This place actually came to us by recommendation. At least one«friend» had told us that they had good breakfast sandwiches in ADDITIONTO Chinese Food. What is this, Heaven?! I was so psyched I wet my britches just a tiny bit. When we first sat at the breakfast bar I thought we had made a great decision, as far as shady shitty greasy spoons go. The kitchen, such as it was, was right there in front of our faces. The menus were all over the place, as one would expect from such an establishment. And then the nigh-understandable salty old Greek guy who seemed to run the place(I use«run» here very, very loosely) started trying to talk to us, but couldn’t decide if he wanted to be friendly and flirty or overly critical of the faults of our generation, reminding us that we would be successful if we put our cell phones away and got a real job. Wait, what? It’s already been noted but it bears repeating: this place does not actually offer Chinese food. Oh, they say they do. They show pictures as if they do. But like most other patrons, it remains mythical– when we asked about it, we were told it was only afternoon. I remarked to my companions, jokingly, that the Chinese guys weren’t there to cook the Chinese food. Imagine my surprise when, as we were leaving, a shift of Chinese guys came in to start working!(So then I had to wonder, is the breakfast food not available after noon, and only Chinese food? Who knows. It is a mystery to all.) The food took FOR. EVER. to get to us, and when it did, it came out at three very different times, so there was only a few seconds where our group was actually dining together. I really tried to wait for everyone to have their food, but I was risking time-temperature abuse at a certain point and had to dig in! Well, dig in isn’t the right term. More like flip over the first few layers of sand half-heartedly. Ah, much better. And then– we had to almost argue to get our check. You’d think the place would want us to pay, but that didn’t seem particularly true here. Service that was beyond rude, food that was just this side of palatable, a menu you can only order half of at any given hour– yet another hilarious joke Atlantic City had at my expense. Avoid at all costs, unless you are terminally curious for the macabre and impossible.
