I love this place! All of the food I have eaten here was great. On more than one occasion they have been able to find wine for me that no one else, even the larger places, could find. I went to chain and local stores looking for a particular wine and Royal Palm was the only place that could get it, they also got it very quickly. All the staff I have dealt with have been pleasant and very helpful. Do yourself a favor and pay them a visit, it’s worth the drive to the beach.

This place rocks! Limited but Good selection of wines and craft beers! Sit at the bar and grab a drink. The tapas is awesome! Some of the vegetables and grown right on sight out from how awesome is this helps keep the cost down for the food! Parking is limited but manageable!

Nice atmosphere with great wine selection but the food is one star. Pricey for what you get and the tapas isn’t good in my opinion. There’s too many restaurants serving great food to eat here. I’m really surprised by the comments on the food, but most posts are dated.

One word: DESSERTS. We went for dinner and had a bunch of yummy tapas, nothing to seriously rave about, BUT the desserts… we got one of everything and never looked back. Their spicy chocolate balls were life changing, the apple bread pudding was still warm and melting your heart, the butternut flan!!! I wanted to cry, and the lavender cheesecake… simply amazing, just amazing! Definitely recommend coming for a nice glass of wine and just desserts. Down side — it was SO loud. The insulation just does not make for an environment where you can talk comfortably. It was Saturday night and I was screaming at my 3 other friends.

Ok. The Ovinte won best Tapas in Best of Jax but the food and service is far superior here.

So glad a friend and I discovered this wonderful gem of a restaurant. The food and beer was fantastic. The stuffed dates were my favorite. The service was excellent. We will definitely return.

First time visit. Great wine and beer selection. Had the Octopus, Scallops, Wahoo and Empanadas. All the food was great. The scallops were in a red curry sauce with just the right amount of spice. Wahoo was served with a salad with a tangy sauce with a sweet taste. Atmosphere was open but not loud and the service was very attentive and knowledgeable. Looking forward to our next visit.

Great sangria. Great drink prices. Great staff. Nice atmosphere to relax. They should turn down the lights. We didn’t try the food but we will be back!

The best food and wine. The pork belly sliders are to die for. And the Mac and cheese just tasted so wholesome. The empanadas taste so fresh! Great variety. I can’t wait to go back and try more foods.

Simple but exquisite. I love coming here with girlfriends or on a date. The best wine selection in the area and the food is great. Everything is made with love and you can tell. Im always looking forward to coming back.

Love the ambiance of this place and the unique offerings. Food is very good, the seasonal vegetable plate and a few bottles of wine makes a great date night or night out with friends.

This place was great! I grew-up in Atlantic Beach and this is the first time that I have been back in a long time. Such a pleasant surprise to find a gem like this. The wine selection and craft beer was amazing… but was most pleased with the fresh tapas! I will be back.

It is a fun place with a great assortment of wines. Service staff was very knowledgeable and helpful with wine recommendations. We tried many of the tapas while we were there and enjoyed each of them. Dinning area is open and a little loud by it is not too bad. Overall a fun place.

Excellent selection of wine, diverse menu and super friendly, knowledgeable staff. They have expanded their tables too but that didn’t cut down on the selection in their wine shop at all. You can find a ton of delicious wines for every taste at a very reasonable price. You can pop in just to buy wine, sit down for a drink, or stay for dinner. I recommend staying! The owners are usually there working and often come around to the tables to check on how you’re doing. I’ve never had a bad experience here. I’ve been here several times over the last three years and noticed lately they have been a lot busier which is great! I hope the word has gotten out and this place is here to stay.

This is a wine store n bar that has some pretty good food. This place has been on my do try list for a while now. The place is wide open with a bar on the back wall. The food is a Tapa Style basically meaning small plates. The prices are not as small but not that bad. We ordered a couple of apps. The chorizo flatbread and some pot stickers. The flatbread was good until we found out where all the salt in the dish was. The pot stickers were over done. I mean pretty crunchy and the filling was almost cooked out. For entrée’s we went with the local fish dish which was changed to Wahoo. This fish was hammered and plainly uneatable, They were nice enough to take that one off out bill. I got the smoked sausage with peppers and onions and they were also over cooked. The sausage was just plain jane that you can buy at any butcher store that makes sausage. You the ones where you get mild, medium of hot sausage. That’s all. The service I would have to say was pretty bad. We waited for everything including 20 minutes for our server to take our checks. We ended up taking it up to them at the bar. In all I was kind of disappointed in this outing but I will return. When I’m not sure.

I like coming here for a quick stop in. It’s different from a lot of other things offered in the area and while I would plan on having a full dinner here I love grabbing a few apps now and again. Plus the drink options(beer and wine only) are unreal.

I was shunning this place for a little while, due to the fact that every time we tried to come in they had a private party going on. It was my third time here over the weekend, but my first time really eating and hanging out. We arrived right at 3:45, which is 15 mins before they start really serving food. The place was pretty dead when we got there(a nice relief because when we go during more popular hours the place is busting at the seams). We sat at the bar and ordered two wines, hummus and empanadas. We had to wait a while for our empanadas but I assume it’s because the kitchen had just opened up. It wasn’t an issue because we had the hummus quickly and were ordering more and more wine. The hummus has toasted pumpkin seeds and some lemon on it. Personally, I wasn’t crazy about the taste… I think the lemon was a little overpowering, but this could be a personal thing, because I’ve seen reviews of the hummus before and others seem to like it. The empanadas are DELICIOUS! I mean really probably the best thing on the menu. They are filled with meat, breading is perfect, and topped with veggies and a crème(see photo). The order comes with 2 and it’s perfect to share with another person. To top it off, our server was very friendly and knowledgable(he had about 10 years wine experience and used to work at Total Wine). His name is slipping my mind but he spent a lot of time with us and made the experience very enjoyable. We even ended up buying a bottle of wine to take home(he is very convincing). I think you need to come at the right time here to get a good seat and good service. They do fill up very quickly on weekends, especially the bar area. They do a lot of private parties and tastings which can be kind of a pain if you’re just dropping in. One other note… I like the set up here as far as half store/half bar & restaurant. My complaint is the surfing/beach atmosphere. They are playing loop surf videos on the TV behind the bar, and they have a ton of surf paintings hanging above the wine. It doesn’t really seem to mesh with the tapas/wine feeling they are going for. Though the other artwork is very cool; we even bought some!

When a friend recommended this place and said that it was right off of Atlantic Blvd, I was surprised that I’d never heard of it. When I found the place, I realized why. It was not readily visible from the road. But, when we sat down for dinner, we were so glad that we ventured«off the beaten path» to find this gem. Royal Palm Village offers a rustic feel with a wine cellar appeal. With a wall lined with bottles of wine, high-top tables, communal tables and a small bar, the restaurant is perfect for small gatherings of friends or a laid back date night. We ordered several tapas — polenta cakes with truffled mushrooms and shaved manchego, edamame pot stickers, mayport shrimp with sundried tomatoes and an olive and feta cheese topping. We also tried the royal palm salad and the special — flank steak with chimichurri. The dishes were definitely creative but while the flavors were good, they were not amazing. I was glad that they all came with some sort of dipping sauce, which added some pizazz. I’ll admit that I’m not a fan of polenta and Royal Palm Village didn’t change my mind. But, they had me at the desserts. Strawberry bread pudding and chocolate pecan pie. Need I say more? Although our server appeared to be the only one on the floor, she was personable and very energetic during the course of an increasingly busy dinner service. Her enthusiasm almost made us forget that we waited quite a while to order dessert and to get our check. Speaking of the check, the food prices were very reasonable and the portions were appropriate for the price.

You MUST try the hummus! Update: They no longer make the same hummus. You no longer need to try it.
