If I could give them 0 stars I would. My family was excited to go to Nicks and then My mother called in to ask how late they were open until tonight & they responding to her by saying«We answered, didn’t we? so we’re clearly open» in such a rude manner. Needless to say we were turned off by their rudeness and refused to go eat there. Being rude won’t get you anywhere. If you want to eat Greek food and give your money to nicer people I highly suggest going to Mediterrania on Baymeadows rd. I have also been told by many people about how rude the employees are and unfortunately they were 100% correct. They will never get a dime of my money!

Good Greek food. Not expensive. I don’t love the ambiance but a good quick place for lunch. Staff was super nice. I had a gyro and feta fries.

Very good Greek food at reasonable prices. The staff was very friendly and fast. The atmosphere could use a little bit of help and the location isn’t the greatest. Nonetheless I will be returning for more great Greek food and would recommend it.

Awful phone service taking orders. They pressure you into an order to speed you off the phone. No straws for drinks is a basic they run out of. The restaurant layout is bizarre and may make you feel like you’re in a place that already went out of business. No pestitsio, the salad greens look old and re used.

Tasty food, but you get very little for the money. I much prefer Olympia, but they’re closed on Sundays.

Like many I heard some very good things about this place — sadly we were extremely disappointed. I ordered a lamb gyros and the meat was so incredibly tough and rubbery I couldn’t even chew it! For me personally I really didn’t like the flavor at all and it certainly nothing like the authentic gyros I have tried in the past. Hubby had a chicken Gyros and he wasn’t impressed either — certainly not worth the $ 28 we paid for the two of them and that was with no drinks or extra.

Drove 25 min just to have some nice tasty Greek food and was very disappointed ! We ordered the Lamp Gyros and it had numerous nasty chunks of very fatty meat in it ! The Tzatziki Sauce only had a garlic taste to it, nothing special ! The Place is out dated, not very clean and not worthwhile at all ! Just find them under the restaurant report on Fox News !!

I’m a critic of restaurants. Not just the food, but the layout of the restaurant itself. NTG received 3 stars not because their food was mediocre, but because the layout of the establishment was awkward, irritating, and confusing. Space was wasted, you couldn’t see into the kitchen, and it looked dirty. However, service was excellent. I’ve been to a few Greek restaurants. But, NTG was the worst for me.

Very quiet on a Monday afternoon. The hummus was great. The chicken parmigiana was also very good. Good service. I sat here reading the reviews on Unilocal, and couldn’t help but chuckle about Nick allegedly living here. This restaurant is great and unique to the area.

the staff was really nice and the restaurant was def nicer than I expected. I got the Mediterranean plate which came with grape leaves, felafels, pita, hummus, and a special sauce. the sauce apparently is an original and is highly delicious! I def recommend this this place.

Delicious lentil soup with traditional Greek seasonings plus a little something extra to give depth of flavor. We had fresh crispy salads with Nicks homemade Greek dressing. I had the spanakopita, a thick deliciously seasoned square of spinach filling topped with crispy phyllo. With a nod to my Southern roots, the iced tea was fresh and tasty too. But most important of all, the ladies bathroom was spotless. I say as the bathroom goes so goes the kitchen. I would recommend Nicks to all my friends. I will come again.

So we saw the reviews and had to pop in and try a gyro… Sigh… Diane was great. She was very pleasant and friendly. She welcomed us and seated us quickly. I ordered the original gyro and my husband had the lamb souvlaki gyro. First, the pita was a very dry. I didn’t even eat mine because it was dry. The meet was also dry. Unfortunately, the menu read that it was freshly sliced off a cone. There’s no way that the meat we were given was freshly sliced unless it was sliced off the cone from yesterday or the day before. It was very well seasoned but something in the seasoning upset both mine and my husbands tummies. We kept Tumms in business this afternoon. After having eaten gyros at another place in the last 2 weeks and it having been fabulous, I was disappointed. The fries were hot and fresh. And Diane was great. But $ 30 for 2 gyros and an order of fries… I think not.

The food here is overall good. Some of the meals are a little high in price, however there are cheaper items also. The service here was pleasant but it was strange that there were not a whole lot of people here during a peak eating time. Overall good place to come eat lunch.

Beautiful restaurant and a friendly server. The entrees, lamb Souvlaki and the Gyro were both pretty good. The lemon potato and Nick’s fries sides were a bit lacking in spice and flavor. The desserts however were stellar. A rich flaky Napoleon and the Bourek. a custard topped with cinnamon dusted crispy Filo in a honey syrup. The desserts were hand crafted and very appealing to the eye and not too sweet. Just right! The desserts were definitely 5 star.

So how about I FINALLY tried this place. I ordered the typical gyro sandwich and baklava. The gyro was deliciously fresh and flavorful! The pita bread was soft and at the perfect warm temperature. Oh and the baklava was sinful :) flaky layers with nuttiness throughout and sweet honey hugging every edge and layer of that piece of goodness. Oh service? service was good. I went mid-afternoon so it wasn’t extremely busy. The host doubled as the waiter. He was nice, informative, and attentive. The restaurant was a good size. The tables and chairs looked outdated, but that’s ok. No fuss, no muss.

I had seen Nick the Greek dozens of times while visiting the Mayport area, but never stopped by even once… then my husband saw they had expanded and opened this newer bigger location and suggested we check it out for dinner one night, man I am so glad we did. I thought the staff was friendly and the service was good. Our waitress was helpful when it came to deciding what we should order. My husband had the regular Gyro while I had the Chicken Souvlaki and we split an order of their Greek Fries. All of the flavors are simple yet delicious. The food was so good my husband and I didn’t share anything with eachother except the fries which we ordered to share to begin with… that was a first, lol. I recommend Nick the Greek to anyone that wants to enjoy a cultural meal at a reasonable price without a lot of fuss. We’ll definitely be visiting this place again soon!

SOOO super delicious. Recently went back for lunch and it was our first time in the newly opened space(he used to just have a stand-like restaurant, no open dining). There’s servers now, the space is pretty cute :) Nick’s GYRO is the best in town. I’m sure he bakes his pita bread himself, its sooo fresh and yum. I’ve had home made pita bread in Egypt and his tastes just like it! Fries with feta cheese, YUM. All his desserts are baked by him and the baklava is THEBEST!
