June 17, 1st and only visit so far, giving 3 starts as maybe it was an off day for the restaurant. Pros: Store Opened on Time, Accepted Credit cards, Under 15 minute wait from ordering my food, Food had a decent flavor overall. Cons: Food was cold(I took a bite immediately after receiving), The garlic eggs weren’t ready and couldn’t be sold, Less food than I expected(See pic that shows 2 crab clusters, 4 or 5 potato chunks, sausage, ½ ear of corn), I frequent a similar establishment across town and they include more crab clusters, sausage, double the amount of potatoes, corn and garlic boiled eggs are included for dollars less than what was charged at Wats Crackin. Full Detailed Review: I visited TODAY, June 17th at opening time(Noon). I arrived at around 11:30 since that’s when most restaurants open for lunch but they weren’t open yet so I waited in my car until a line started to form at which point I had to get out and stand in the hot sun :-( They did open right at noon, I was within the 1st5 people in line. FYI, the parking lot was already full and a line formed around the building prior to them opening the door at noon. Upon walking in the place was clean and there was a window for ordering and a seating area. I purchased the Snow Crab combo for $ 20 and added on a crab cake for $ 4. They do accept credit cards so I was able to pay with my debit card which was nice. It took me less than 15 minutes to get my food which was GREAT considering I’ve seen reviews where people waited hours. :-( I couldn’t wait to dive in due to all the reviews I’ve seen stating how the delicious this food is. I decided to take a bite when I got to the car and was disappointed to find that my food WASNOTHOT. It was a bummer for me to have been at the front of the line and served quickly yet bite into a cold potato. The package felt light compared to my order of a similar meal from another establishment across town. At home, I saw that they put the crab on the bottom then pile a few potatoes, 1 ear of corn, sausage and about 5 shrimp on top. It appeared to be more food than it was since there was gaps and space on the bottom of the container. The taste of the food was decent after I heated it in the microwave. Overall, I was disappointed. I was hoping that this would be my new spot for florida style garlic butter crab and veggies as it’s literally down the street from my house but I’ll keep driving across town so that I will get hot food in larger portions for less money. I am adding a picture of my food and the receipt so that anyone reading my review can see that it’s honest and accurate. Miss Kim

Omg. 2 plus hour wait in 95 degrees yesterday. Worth every morsel of sweat that dropped from my body. The food was absolutely the bomb! The garlic butter drenched the crabs & shrimp. But the ear of corn was the best thing on the plate. They cooked the crab perfectly. The best thing was that it wasn’t heavily seasoned with salt or old bay like most Low Country Boils. Prices are fair. Only $ 15 for combo plate & $ 10 for shrimp only. Bring cash & they will limit you to 2 purchase plates. Do treat yourself. It’s an experience worth the journey. Met some hilarious people while standing in line in the sun. Good things come to those that wait!

Food was really great when I went. Line was crazy long(3 hour wait) that’s the only thing stopping this review from being 5 stars. Hopefully they will address the wait time when they reopen. Other then that great food and for 20 bucks you get a lot of seafood

Passed by on 4 different occasions this week. Every single time they have been closed. If you don’t have a reliable seafood distributer you shouldn’t open a season restaurant. Especially with all the promo they do on fb. Get it together.

VISITEDON4⁄16 — Food was AMAZING, but be prepared to wait and this is take-out only. The night that I went we had to wait for about 30 minutes or so. Totally worth it in my opinion, but this might not be the best option if you’re looking for a quick bite to eat. The sauce is DELICIOUS! It’s the best I’ve ever had and being from FL that’s really saying something.

Soooo disappointed, had heard so many great things about this place. We went on yesterday ready to dig in and they had a sign saying«closed for repairs»…long drive for nothing! Can rate the food only the disappointment

Highly disappointed! We drove all the way from Marietta(in traffic) to only get to this establishment and it is closed for repairs! That seems like something that should either be put on a website or on the answering machine so that ppl don’t waste their time driving out here!

Ok so here goes. I arrived at Wats Crackin at 3:12. This is the time I got in line after looking for parking(you can’t park there because they block the lot off). The line was lone but I thought shouldn’t be longer than an hour and a half, it’s seafood. Wrong several news articles and a quarter into the game later. I was still in line. There is no seating so you stand the entire time. All in all I was in line 3.5 hours to order and after ordering another 2 waiting for my food, so 5.5 hours total. Get home ready to eat and here it goes… The food is tasty, not better than Crab Pot. Some of it is missing the seasoning which tells me they put it on after. The corn is frozen and the sauce is not butter. The crab legs were smaller by comparison and the accompanying items left a lot to be desired. The shrimp however were amazing. That being said NEVERAGAIN. If you decide to partake upon this adventure take a chair and a lunch. The owner said she was hiring tomorrow but that’ll be a day late for most people. She simply wasn’t ready.

This place is a gem and unexpected. I wouldn’t have thought to stop since its in a house on Candler Rd. The portions are huge and the taste is even better. Can’t eat it often bc its arteriosclerosis in a styrofoam box, but definitely worth the risk.

The food is DELICIOUS! If you’re sensitive to greasy/oily foods then I would suggest eating the sauce in moderation. For the price, portions are pretty large and it is great that it includes all of the sides(corn, potatoes, sausage) The only downside is the long wait for the food and the inability for anyone to answer the phone to take to go orders. Also, there is no way to eat at the restaurant. This seems standard for all of the seafood places popping up but sometimes it would be nice to eat in. If you have time and don’t have to be anywhere, then I recommend this place!

I’ve seen this place countless times in a Facebook Group before they obtained an actual location. Tonight I was up for trying something new so I drove 33 minutes from the Southside to Decatur to see what’s crackin with these crabs. I arrived just in time. Despite their voicemail clearly stating they close at 7:30pm, they actually close at 7:00pm. I made it in right before the owner noticed it was 7:07. I ordered the shrimp plate and the snow crab combo. They were out of blue crab and crab cakes. That’s all they have in the menu and the combos include potatoes, corn on the cob and sausage. My food was ready in about 8 minutes which immediately worried me but I said thanks and left. Upon getting in my car I tried a shrimp… it was COLD. I broke off a small snow crab leg to try it… COLD. I tried a piece of sausage and potato… surprise they too were COLD! Oh and the corn on the cob was not throughly cooked and also cold. So it was obvious to me at this point that they simply poured their special butter sauce over cold food. I eat seafood regularly and would love to say that I’d go back to this place and try them again… ehh never going to happen. The sauce is tasty but not very garlicky. It’s butter… after a few bites my stomach started to hurt. If they served HOT food perhaps it would taste better. Who wants warm butter on cold seafood for $ 30?

If I could give negative stars I would. I understand they don’t take orders over the phone but the girl took my order anyway. This was at 4:30pm. So when I get there I pay $ 30 for a snow crab combo and a shrimp plate, that she already had a ticket for when I called in earlier, and waited. About 4 – 5 people got there food before mine and when I questioned them about why I had been there for 40 minutes and the food was not done. The owner swore me up and down that I hadn’t been waiting that long, was very rude, and felt no remorse for it. I try to support black businesses but to tell you the truth I would take Captain D’s over this place any day.

So I went here for the first time yesterday with a friend. For starters it is a house with a bright orange sign. You could miss it if it wasn’t for the sign. Parking want bad it’s not a lot of room but I didn’t have a problem. I went around lunch time and there was about 5 ppl ahead of me. It’s small inside just chairs to sit and wait no tables to eat. There were plenty of chairs though. The menu only consists of a shrimp or crab plate. You can do the combo with both. Each comes with corn, potatoes, and sausage. I ordered the shrimp and my friends ordered the combo. Within 10mins my food was ready. Unfortunately, my friends food took about 30mins. I’m sure they cook it fresh to order, but if you are in a rush don’t order crab legs. By the time we left my food needed heating. The food was good though. They have a great garlic butter sauce. My only complaint was the corn was not done at all. I would definitely eat here again though!

This place is just ok. I don’t think I will return I was not impressed with the taste of the food. The corn was hard and tasted as if he had been cooked a few days ago. The shrimp were basically raw with garlic butter on it. I noticed after I ate the food it was a lot of garlic salt in the bottom of the container. I wish this business success however I will not return. The lady at the counter needs to be more friendly very dry communication when she is taking your order or giving you our food.

OMG!!! The food is so good and fresh. Wasn’t a long wait like most people said, I guess because we went during the week. They give you so much food and the garlic on the food is amazing! Highly recommended! We will be going back soon!

What can I say ??? This place is amazing !!! I am a foodie and I love seafood and I have never had crab this thoroughly seasoned. If there was one thing I could change it would be nothing. The service was fast and good. I ordered the crab combo with 2 garlic boiled eggs and a crab cake. The crab and shrimp was seasoned to perfection and you get a lot of bang for your buck. I’ve never had garlic boiled eggs but I thought it was creative and they were tasty as well. The crab cake was on of the best that I ever had. I will definitely be frequenting this place.

I am still sad I can’t get my usual delivery since they opened up shop. .but the drive from South Fulton to Decatur is SOOOOOO worth it. The snow crab combo is 2 meals in itself. .the garlic butter sauce = Awesome-sauce! !! Miss Dee does not disappoint. .CAUTION: GOEARLY. …the line builds up QUICK!

Food is good… if you want to wait. Wait was ridiculous, then my shrimp was missing. Went back the next day to get my shrimp wait was even worse. I politely walked out. Try it if you like, just don’t show up hungry.

Let me start off by saying the food deserves 5 Stars!!! It was delicious!!! I am thinking about going back up there today!!! The snow crabs were fresh and easy to crack, the shrimp were big and tasty and they give you a lot of food for $ 20!!! The garlic sauce is so delicious!!! The only reason why I did not give them a 5 star overall is because there are a few things they need to work in as far as the business aspect is concerned. They take debit cards but have to manually type your card information in because they don’t have a card swiper. We wanted almost 20 minutes to get eggs we ordered and they forgot to cook so eventually just left them. There is not adequate seating — 3 sprouting event chairs! But I will definitely be back, I look forward to them improving once they have their grand opening but definitely worth going to get them!!!

I love love love these Crabs– they are well seasoned, fresh, and so easy to crack. I have gotten crabs from Ms Dee for a while before the store opened. I drive all the way to Decatur to enjoy these delightful crab legs. I am one of her biggest supporter and send so many new people who all love her crab legs.
