So, I want to start off by saying that the food here is very good. With that being said, the service is well below sub par. My girlfriend and I sat at the bar on Friday night around 9pm. We didn’t get greeted for a bit so I asked the male bartender who was standing right next to us if we could have menus. He plopped a menu in front of us & went back to not speaking to anyone. After 5 or so min of looking we asked the female bartender for some drinks & some water. She brought us drinks but no water. We asked if we could order food b/c we could see where this was going. As we waited on our app(fried green tomatoes) for 20+ min, no one checked on us or asked how our drinks were or even introduced themselves. It truly was not the kind of experience we expected in a Marriott property. We got our app, finished it & still no one spoke to us. We got our main course(Thai wings & a ½ rack of ribs w/mashed potatoes) & it was good. I had to ask for a beer menu b/c I had finished my drink yet no one offered me a new one. Overall, I enjoyed the food but nothing else about the place.

OK, I heard so many good comments about this place, so I decided to check it out. I walked straight up to the bar and after sitting there for 5 minutes, Jack came over to greet me and take my drink order. I must add that when I sat down he was standing almost right in front of me talking to a guest sitting next to me. He looked at me and walked away. Finally he brought back one my favorite local beers(Sweetwater IPA) and informed Sway T. that I wanted to order some food, Sushi to be exact. Right then I knew that they wasn’t a team. I placed my order with Sway T. When i got my order it wasn’t exactly what the menu described. I ordered Conch Nigri, Tuna Nigri and Rare beef. Yes I know that most black people like their meat well done. However, I like raw and rare beef but what i got was medium well beef. I called Jack over to inform him since he was closer now. He was previously posted up against the wall with one leg kick back chilling instead of engaging his bar full with guests. Bad bartender number one. He called over Sway T. Sway T talking loud and standing a few feet away ask, what the problem was. Quietly I said the beef wasn’t rare. Now I have the person to my left and right looking at me. I backed off and said it’s OK. The way he handled it wasn’t professional. Being loud and causing a scene was not cool. Bad bartender number 2. Sway T isn’t a bartender as a matter of fact. He doesn’t even know how to properly open a wine bottle. Hey Voya, please train your bartenders and try to make them a cohesive team.

Another reviewer said it best, a hotel trapped choice for dining in the lobby. The sushi part of the menu is extremely limited, expensive for the delivery and last meal, not very fresh. That being said, this bar area is very inviting and you can order other items on the menu that are not of the Japanese genre like a good Marriott Burger. Cocktails are also good but hotel priced.($ 14 for Bulleit Manhattan). Service is always well above average. There is also a top shelf steakhouse down the way a bit here if you want that«on the expense account» experience. My calamari and fish sushi tasted old and gummy this last time in and next time I believe I will opt for more traditional fare. There are simply very few choices in the area for eating out so they will do fine here. Coffee Shop with dessert across the way can help fill in as well.

Sushi was a bit pricy but expected at an airport hotel. Other than that it was pretty good and all of the servers were very friendly.

Great service for overpriced Japanese food. This was one of the very few restaurants at the Marriott by the Atlanta airport. This is quite a busy restaurant with travelers from all over for business conferences at the hotel. I would say it is more convenient to dine here than leave the hotel to find another restaurant.

Cool open bar, restaurant, and lounge. Joe was amazing. Hooked me up with the veggie wrap and sweet potato. Everything was delicious. I’m vegan so it’s great to find such an amazing option!

Since my friends and I were guests at the Atlanta Airport Marriott, we went here for convenience. We were also on a time crunch since we had an event to attend so a lunch at the hotel’s restaurant lobby restaurant sounded perfect! This place supposedly offers authentic sushi, but they also got other stuff on their menu like chicken wings and fried chicken! *who doesn’t like variety right?* So my two star rating is actually pretty generous from what we experienced here! It took almost an hour for our sushi(when we only ordered california rolls, some nigiri, and unagi) to come out… There was very poor communication between our server and the sushi chef which caused us to change our order several times. Our server was very unclear on how the combo platter works when he was the one who recommended it to us! My friends who ordered the chicken wings and buttermilk chicken meal actually received their food before our two orders of sushi combos. *sighhhh* I’m glad the portions of their chicken plate was on the generous side, because we were picking on their food while we waited for our. Once our sushi came out we immediately asked for to go boxes, so we can eat it on the way to the event we were going to. Needless to say, the quality of the sushi was not worth it. The sushi chef definitely went crazy with the rice vinegar on the rolls. The only thing we really liked was the unagi! #worstsushi I’ve had in awhile!
