Vianka Garza

Vianka Garza works both as an esthetician at Aesthetic Surgery Associates and as a freelance makeup artist. She came recommended by friends as a makeup artist for my wedding. I booked her and visited her for an appointment at her daytime office for a makeup run through.
Via phone previous to this we discussed the details of where and when my wedding was and how many people she’d be doing makeup for. She took the small number of attendants and the 1 hour drive to the wedding site into account before she quoted me $ 100 for the bride and $ 50 per person otherwise.
I pressed her via email on 5 separate occasions to just confirm the details via email so I’d have them in written form. She ignored all of the emails. I then called her to ask if she could confirm, and she said she had forgotten to reply but of course she could. Still no reply via email. I tried one more time to confirm. Over a week later — now just 2.5 weeks before my wedding — she emails to say given the distance and number of attendants she’s going to charge $ 120 for me and $ 100 per person otherwise. What a scam!
She basically waited until as late as possible to jack up her prices by $ 170, even though nothing had changed from when she first quoted her prices.
I can’t trust a liar and a cheat for my wedding day, so thank goodness I’ve been able to find someone else last minute. Do NOT trust Vianka Garza with your wedding makeup!
