After over ten years of service to our family, it has become very clear that the collective and individual talents and attitudes here are unrivaled in their industry. Drs. Hirsh and Jenkins and the entire staff ALWAYS go way beyond our expectations and treat our family as if we were part of theirs.

Love love love this vet office! Not only was Dr. Hirsch thorough but the visit was effortless. He was so caring with my pup, explained every vaccine and every step he was taking to ensure her annual visit went well. The place was so clean… did not even smell like animals. I will definitely be returning!

I have taken my weimaraner to Dr. Hirsh for several years now and just today I am reminded of why I still take her there, even though I live in Poncey Highlands.
Several months ago my dog Gracie had some intestinal issues and I was quite concerned. I took her to see Dr. Hirsh and he was not available. The nice Dr. Gracia examined Gracie and within days she was well on her way to recovery. However, there was a discrepancy in the billing. Dr. Hirsh and his office manager Tom, were quick to credit my account and made sure I was completely satisfied. I couldn’t be more pleased.
Thanks for making stressful vet visits less dramatic.

I had no idea what to expect here. I would normally trek down to the southside of town to the place my family has used for 25 years now, but unfortunately an emergency came up and my cats simply had to go in somewhere. I found these reviews here to be helpful in my decision to give this place a go.
At first, I thought the fees sounded high, though in all fairness my boyfriend was relaying the appointment info to me and probably left out what the cost included. Turns out it was on par with my family’s vet, and they even offer the 3-​year rabies vaccine versus the single year! I was excited — no longer would I have to avoid the vet for a couple years at a time just to keep the shots from coming. They were supportive in the food my cats eat (holistic) and my cats were at ease the entire time. Normally they freak out at the sight of a stranger, but animals are a good judge of character I think!
The vet tech and the vet were very kind and helpful, and gave us lots of tips on one of the cat’s behavior issue. My boyfriend and I were very happy with the level of professionalism and people skills here and would gladly take our cats back in the future. I’m a little sad to leave behind the family vet, but this office is right down the road and gives the same care. I’m happy to have found a new doctor for the furbabies!

Dr. Hirsh and his team are the best. They’ve taken care of my dog for 10 years. They also took care of my cats for years.
Dr. Hirsh truly loves his patients and always goes the extra mile. They are always available.
I would highly recommend them!

I’ve been very pleased with Dr. Hirsh, Dr. Jenkins and the whole staff at VCB.
They were awesome to my cat Frodo, who had kidney problems. They were especially compassionate when we thought we were going to lose him due to extreme kidney failure. Their dedication and Dr. Hirsh’s care actually restored his kidney levels to where they were prior to the crash, allowing us to enjoy a couple more years with him before he finally succumbed.
Since then, we’ve adopted two more cats and they go to VCB as well. And now that we’re faced with the prospect of relocating, we’re worried about finding vet as good as Dr. Hirsh and his team.
So if you’re looking for a vet who really cares about the pets they treat, give VCB a try. They’re even open on the weekends, which makes getting an appointment that more convenient.
