This place is the absolute worst. We waited 45 mins for shitty pizza and there were no other customers in the place! Look at the reviews!

Great pizza and atmosphere. I absolutely love this place. Give it a try, you won’t regret it.

Came here for a group lunch on a Saturday afternoon and the place was pretty dead. Given that the service was still only so-so. The waitresses were a bit slow and definitely not very attentive. Had to ask for a water, didn’t come by to refill them, etc. There were 8 of us and we EACH ordered a pizza, which the waitresses should have told us would be WAY too much food– as one pizza could easily serve 2 – 3 of us. They charge for extra pizza sauce which is annoying too, and their marinara sauce is only okay as well. Their drinks are quite tasty– I had some sort of prosecco fruit bellini type drink, a little pricey for the size($ 10 for one glass I think). They specialize in thin crust style pizzas and you can create your own or select one from their menu. The pizzas themselves were actually pretty good– they just took a long time to come out(basically came out one at a time, which was awkward since we all ordered our own). I wouldn’t make an effort to come back here and deal with the crowded Perimeter Mall parking lots for this place.

While the food is delicious, the speed and service is severely lacking. Not sure I’ll be coming back.

Sunday afternoons at Varasano’s is definitely worth a visit, this pizzeria transforms into a lounge setting with a dj and even a photographer. Added to that, there were masseuses from«Blissful Peace Massage» promoting their business and giving free 5 minutes massages which a few people took advantage of. I love the setting, furniture and décor. Now let’s get to the menu. We had a pitcher of Sangria which was quite good, I was still a bit stuffed from a late lunch so I just had the garlic bites which was okay. Other persons in our party had; the calzone which was extra greasy, the Caesar salad which was well portioned and a pepperoni pizza which seemed to be lacking toppings. We were told that if we wanted wings it would take an HOUR so we didn’t even bother. The food really didn’t have that ‘wow’ factor. Our server was very friendly and really seemed to enjoy doing her job. I would visit again but mainly for the drinks and the lounge atmosphere. Menu 3⁄5 Service 4⁄5 Taste 2⁄5 Location 4⁄5

The staff here is a mess. This place shouldn’t last in its present state. More competition in the area with each passing month. Serious, serious improvements needed to accomplish long-term viability. Atmosphere like a school cafeteria. Cannot recommend. Go to Hearth instead. Pizza is meh and the service(been here 3 times — which, come to think of it — is like hitting myself in the head with a hammer) has been atrocious, rude, and even pretentious(yes, pretentiousness at a mall pizza joint OTP). Somehow…here again… for co-worker departure… more TVs than customers in the place… also 20 minutes late opening… place is sad.

This is the worst ever. Should have a zero. The staff was rude. The food was late and cold. Unbelievable. When I asked for an item or a napkin they looked at me like I was out of line. Crazy. Don’t waste your time. I had a better waiter at McDonalds. Lol really.

I came here for a networking function on a Tuesday evening. I had heard of it before and finally had the opportunity to check it out. I’m from NY so I’m partial to NY style pizza, but what’s more important when you want to create great pizza is the oven that you use. Every true pizza connoisseur knows that you need the high temperature of a pizza oven to cook the pizza fast and still get that crust that’s crispy on the outside with a nice balance of melted but not burnt cheese on top. Varasano’s uses one and provides good value for the quality and options of ingredients. The flavors, well, that all depends on you and the pizza that you build. or you can try the house specialties listed on the menu. Pros: What I liked is that they have featured cocktails and that night was the basil gimlet. Yum! A nice touch to the Perimeter location is that they also have a cigar bar. Pretty cool! Cons: My pizza was a bit cold and soggy by the time they called me to get it because they mixed up my order. The flavor balance would have been good but the ingredients were a bit sparse so I tasted more dough than anything. This could be a really great pizza if they didn’t skimp on the ingredients. I haven’t given up on this spot because I’ve had better pizza at the Airport location so I know that Perimeter can do better. I just hope they step up their game soon.

There should be a zero option. We were promptly seated as the 4th group for an early lunch. No server ever greeted us so we flagged down the hostess for drinks. Finally a server took out order. After almost 30-minutes with no pizza we inquired. Pizza hadn’t started though the tables that arrived after us were already served their pizzas. The situation was escalated to a manager who quickly dismissed the situation as our problem. Then, to add insult, the manager sent the same poorly equipped hostess back to explain how we were wrong, they were right, and how, again, this was our fault. Plus the food was cold. Never again. Save your sanity and your money.

Not a good experience. To start off, hours on websites say open at 11am on Sunday. Got here at 11:20 and posted hours say it opens at noon. So, came back at noon, and it didn’t open until 12:10. Came inside, they are still not ready to open. After standing around, someone said we could sit wherever. Tried to order a mimosa for brunch but $ 8-for one, at Perimeter Mall? Please. Got a $ 6 beer instead. Ordered a pizza, it came out 8 minutes after my friends did so he got to eat alone and then I did. Pizza mediocre at best-mine had no cheese on it which was very unusual. Did not expect that from what was described on the menu but thought I could have gotten cheese on a $ 19 individual pizza. Absolutely not coming back here ever again. Also they have a DJ for some unknown reason but there are only 5 people here at 1pm on a Sunday.

«Bloody Hell» Gordan Ramsay I can’t begin to describe how surprised I was at the mediocrity of the pizza at Varasano’s. I’m a fan of all things pizza, and I’m not in the least a pizza snob. I don’t mind if it’s NY style, pan pizza, Neapolitan or Chicago style. I’m okay with almost any pizza you put in front of me. With that being said, I also can appreciate when a restaurant puts out a superior pie, especially if it’s Neapolitan. This was definitely not the case here. The Margherita pizza was limp, soggy, devoid of flavor, and with literally the smallest amount of toppings possible. I don’t think there could have been less cheese, tomatoes or basil on the pizza if they had tossed the ingredients on the pie from across the room. It is no exaggeration to say that I have had more ingredients on a single slice at other places then on the entire $ 16 pizza here. The restaurant itself is attractive. It is bright and clean. The kitchen is well-positioned to be the center of attention, and there are a lot of casual seating areas, as well as a nice outdoor patio. The service was friendly, but not very good. Silverware was brought out only when requested, and then it was only forks. Napkins were also not brought out until requested. While not stellar service, it was okay, and if the pizza was good I would probably still return, but it wasn’t, so I won’t. There are too many other options in the perimeter area to have to suffer bad pizza.

Had the house salad and a couple of their pizzas. Both were excellent. This place can definitely serve as an Antico alternative for those near the perimeter area. Crust is nicely done w/a slight crisp and chewiness to it. Salad is pretty standard fare, but served up nicely w/a tangy vinaigrette. Antico is still my hands down fave, but this is a close second.

Hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had. This location is great ! The décor is beautiful and the tables are big. Big tables are great for pizza. Great location in perimeter mall. There is nothing better then retail therapy and pizza :-) The pizzas are thin and have an unbelievable taste. They aren’t just filled with dough and toppings. I think some people expect a big pizza which is always filling and not as much flavor. These are thin and so tasty! I can’t wait to go back !

I’m sort of shocked about how underwhelmed I was by the food at this place. Since we moved here last summer, this is one place that popped up on every«best pizza» search that executed. I was excited. I believed the hype. The house salad was pretty amazing and I loved the atmosphere(I’m a sports geek); other than that, I was not impressed. My husband’s Caesar Salad was comparable to any bagged variety from the grocery store. The Burrata was interesting(fennel, lemon, mint) but borderline flavorless and served sans bread/crackers. We had two drinks; one Caprese Bloody Mary(watered down, no clue where the ‘Caprese’ influence came from) and a Cherry Bomba that tasted like a flat Coke. I enjoyed the taste of the pizza crust. Sadly the pizza was served cold. Womp womp. I am assuming I hit this place on the wrong night, or I have a palate that just does not agree with the general public.

Jeff should be embarrassed. This location is an absolute disaster. We arrived at 6:20, there was no hostess, and honestly that should have been our clue to leave. Then the hostess/server seated us but didn’t know if they had proper seating for a child. Clue #2 that this place just didn’t have it together. Sat down and then ignored for about 10 minutes. Clue #3. Honestly we were stupid for staying. When finally assisted we were ready to order. Tried to get the meatball appetizer, server said they had it, manager(?) said nope only on pizzas. Fine. Order 2 pizzas. You know, the ones that(should) take 90 seconds to cook. *buzzer sound* WRONG. It took near an hour. Ordered one without cheese because my son has a dairy allergy and when it finally came. Yep. Cheese. No manager visit. No comped food. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised since there was no service. Save your money, save your TIME, just go anywhere else.

Quite a bit has changed at this location. My friends and I were surprised to be handed three dirty menus which were accompanied by an unusually long wait. Keep in mind only two other patrons were present. Also, quality of food seems to be an afterthought. That’s unfortunate given the higher than average prices listed on the soiled menus.

Had dinner here with my husband and friends and wanted to try it because they’ve been advertising themselves as the #3 best pizza in US as per Zagat. We ordered spinach salad, garlic bites and two pizzas. Spinach salad and garlic bites were ok but the pizzas were terribly thin, and I like my pizzas thin at that! It can barely hold anything and was just too undercooked. One of the pizzas came with a hole in it and while they did say they were gonna replace it, it seemed like they forgot about it because we had to remind them to do it and when we were already about to finish our meal. It did arrive though but it took too much time already. While the last pizza was better cooked and crispier, it still didn’t hold. In other words, not the #3 best pizza in the US or even Atlanta. I wouldn’t recommended this if you’re looking to have good pizza but would be ok if you’re too hungry from shopping and would eat anything.

Sadly it’s a 2. Positives first: The pizza was good. The Manager was very sweet. That’s all I got. We sat right away. It was early for dinner on Friday night, approx 5:45p. The restaurant was maybe 1⁄3 full. There was staff everywhere mostly just standing around talking. The tables are big. Pizza places rarely have tables big enough for the pies. Another positive I guess. The place looks nice but the tables and booths feel wobbly/lower quality. We ordered a large $ 10 spinach salad and 2 pizzas. Waitress said the salad would be plenty to share. It was a side salad size. Was delivered on a rectangular plate that was only filled halfway across. I flag down the host and I sent it back. The very nice manager brought it over a 2nd time and offered to sell it to me for $ 5. I’ve never had a negotiation for a dish at a restaurant before but this could be an interesting concept! I declined her offer and she kept her salad. After quite a long time, approximately 30 minutes, the pizzas came out. Again restaurant is 1⁄3 full. Quite a long wait IMO. One pizza is cold. Not hot and not even warm. Cold. The other pizza was warm. Immediately the very friendly manager comes out and had such a hopeful look on her face that I couldn’t bear to tell her the truth. The pizzas were tasty but there was no excuse for them being cold. Also, this is on the waitress, the toppings were not described correctly. When ordering, we specifically asked if the pizza had black or green olives and we were told green. We were delivered black olives which the wife doesn’t enjoy. If you choose to eat here, I think a table of 4 probably needs to order at least 3 pizzas because 2 was definitely not enough for 2 adults and 2 little kids and we are not huge eaters. Generally we share 1 large pizza and 1 large salad as a group. Some guidance from the waitress would have been helpful here. We would have ordered more at the start but now knowing how long it would take to get them to the table there was no way. So in the end, we spent nearly $ 38 on 2 pizzas and left pretty darn hungry. When the pizzas were gone the waitress promptly dropped the check and I immediately put my cc on it and waited… and waited… and watched the staff members standing around talking to each other… and then I tried to wave someone down… and I waited some more… and then my wife got up and handed the check to the waitress hanging by the register. Then we bounced yo and now I’m digging through the pantry for something that won’t make me fat.

I am really sad I have to give out a 1 star review so early in the year. But holy shit — I am befuddled. Don’t bother making a reservation like we did. My other 1 star is due to service. That place had great food just like Varasano’s, but they lacked… SERVICE. Something Varasano’s also lacks. As I write this review: I can feel the steam coming out of my table of 9’s ears. The food we had was great. But our moods were very sour by the end of our meal. I think the parking/location is great. Yes — it’s a mall, but you’ll find spots somewhere. Just need to be patient. I also think since Varasano’s is next to The Pub — it’s a good place to go for dinner… when they have a good manager to work with. Ugh. We got to the restaurant by 7:15pm. When we got there, the restaurant had a few tables –I would say less than ¼ or 1⁄3. Our table didn’t even get enough menus. After waiting FIFTEEN minutes, some of us got smaller sized menus. That was fine. It happens. I just find it odd how they didn’t even have enough menus when they had maybe 4 — 5 tables. Shouldn’t they be prepared!?! We ordered 4 apps — 2 Brucchala(sp?) &2 Garlic Bread plates. We got the Brucchala fairly quickly. Awesome. Our Garlic Bread? 1 came … then… 15 mins later we got the 2nd plate. WTF. Shouldn’t apps come together?! Keep in mind we had a table of 9 — it was very obvious our table apps were not transitioning well at all. Now onto the pizza ordering… We ordered 5 pizzas. 1.5 hours later, we got them. 1.5HOURSLATER– I am really befuddled. We were about to leave when the manager came to tell us, «Sorry, we’re barely busy on a Tuesday night and so your Table of 9 + other SMALL tables have caused us to be understaffed.» Our response: «Wait, so… you only prepared for a table of 9 without THINKING about other people coming in?» Manager: «Have you ever been to a place that’s understaffed on a week night?» Our response:”…“ This Varasano’s is a part of the mall. WTF? How does a restaurant like this not expect other tables to come in randomly while having 1 large group?! What’s worse is the Manager was really smart-assy with our table — especially to my boyfriend’s brother and mom. Whoa — I was shocked when I heard her tone. That woman needs to a class on customer manners/etiquette. Didn’t even offer a free pizza/app/bottle of wine. But then again, they did give us a discount at the end. But still — when our food was delayed — she should have at least offered us something to make us feel a bit better. Only nice person that tried to help with the awkwardness was the server, Kayla. My boyfriend’s family is a HUGE fan of the Buckhead location — they love it. I can say 100% they are disappointed with the Perimeter one. :(

This brand new location inside Perimeter Mall has potential. Found out that this place just opened up a few days ago. The overall space is fun and inviting with so many TVs that makes it a great place to watch a game(see photos). However, I personally think there are culinary improvements that should be made. Ordered: Football Calzone($ 12), Wild Mushroom Truffle($ 18+$ 1 due to 2 additional toppings of artichoke and spinach) with 2 sodas($ 4) for a total $ 36.38(w/tax). Improvements that I personally think need to me made: 1. Don’t burn the pizza(see photo). When any part of my pizza is burnt, I can’t enjoy the taste of it besides the charred taste. 2. The dough, crust, thickness/thinness of the pizza & calzone need work. When I mean thinness, I mean, the pizza tasted like it was made on paper because it was so thin & burnt. Then, parts of the calzone were thick enough, yet the it was undercooked(see photo). 3. Pricing. A mere 10″ pizza for $ 18(without adding additional toppings) is not worth it here. I have had much better pizza that cost less. Overall a disappointment. Maybe this place will improve over time? If it does improve, let me know and I’d be very glad to write a better review once culinary improvements have been made.
