The best! I occasionally even find things with the retail tags still attached. The items are priced individually and color coded. Everyday, two colors of tags are 50% off. The last Wednesday of the month all clothing is 50% off. Get there early, they will be very crowded that day. Negatives: They have no dressing rooms. It is so large it can be intimidating. If an item loses its tag, you cannot buy it that day.

The owner has started pricing things in the store like an antique store without knowing what the heck that are doing. 45s are now $ 3.99 because«she saw one sell on Ebay for $ 12» I was told by a store employee. Meanwhile they are dirty, scratched and have no jackets. These go for $ 0.50 at every other thrift store AND at a record store(after being professionally cleaned). I’m not sure what they are thinking, but I will stop going the Value Vs.

As thrift stores go, this one has to be my favorite! First off, it’s a thrift store for pete’s sake. The stuff sold is secondhand, it’s going to be dirty. I don’t think the store is so dirty that I feel like, «ugh, somebody get me some purell!» but I’m also ok with shopping at thrift stores, so I obviously have some sort of tolerance for the dirty factor. This store is HUGE. It’s always well stocked in every department, and I’ve found awesome vintage toys and books shoved in amidst the junk. I’ve also been getting almost all of my clothing here for the past three seasons of wardrobe shopping. I’m currently wearing a cashmere banana republic sweater I got for $ 4 from there. The prices are good(not great in my opinion, but I suppose that’s just inflation for ya). I remember getting jeans for a dollar when I was growing up. Anyway, they are still less than Goodwill in my opinion. However, Goodwill has a dressing room and Value Village does not. That would be why I deducted one star. So basically if you are looking for clothing you have to decide… pay more at goodwill but have a dressing room, or pay less at Value Village with no dressing room. I just wear a tank top and leggings and then pull clothing on over that while parked in front of the mirrors, so it all works out. Overall I would highly recommend this thrift store for its price and selection. The only areas of «weakness» are lack of a dressing room and that you won’t be finding used furniture here. They sell new stuff at appropriate new prices for beds, couches, dressers, etc. There are lots of small pieces of used furniture though. For great prices on used furniture, check out the downtown salvation army’s daily auction. That’s where the good stuff is!

This is a great Value Village. The other reviewer has some pretty high standards for shopping at a thrift store. With that said, this is one of the best Value Villages in the city for me. The store is huge and the shelves are always stocked. If you catch the right Wednesday you’ll get ½ all clothing but be ready to stand in a long line. The store can be «dirty» around the toy aisle as parents just use it as a babysitter while they sift through clothes. I don’t mind it because it’s just part of the ambiance of shopping second hand. I have found numerous vintage scores at this location and visit whenever I get a chance. I’m deducting 1 star for the location and adding 1 star for the location. Generally I’m not in this area of town, but there are not many other thrift stores nearby so inventory is always good when I visit.
