Trois Gallery

Okay, so in the spirit of full disclosure, I sit in my office across from this gallery every day at SCAD. But, that means that I see every show, lecture, artist’s talk, event, etc that takes place in this intimate space up close and personal.
The Trois Gallery is located inside the 1600 Peachtree main SCAD building and anyone can come in and visit any day of the week 8:30 — 5:30. Just check in at the security desk and you’re there!
This ovalish/​roundish shaped gallery has hosted artists the like of Kendell Carter to Shinique Smith. Painting, photography, jewerly design, sculpture, mixed media, and more.
Check the website… a show featuring the show-​stopping stilletos of Manolo Blahnick is coming in August 2011, followed by a retrospective of work by the self-​proclaimed «grandmother» of performance art, Marina Abromic.
Seriously, free receptions with food and free parking… sounds like a great date night, right?
