Good quick lunch spot. The service is timely and the food matches. The prices are affordable. Obviously the vibe here is very casual. Three dollar café is known for their wings and on our most recent visit we ordered wings and buffalo shrimp, both with a side salad. The salads are huge for a «side salad.» So that was a major plus. The wings were good, but no nearly as hot as expected. The buffalo shrimp had an ok flavor, but I have to point out… the were served with the tails? Now, when ordering shrimp that you can see, i expect to be prepared to pick off tails, but when you order buffalo shrimp, the tails are covered in breading and unless you looked pretty carefully before taking your first bite, there is a good chance you are going to bite right into a shell.

Yup! Their wings are great! Also they’re spinach queso! Service average. Like the drink menu. They have ciders which is great since I don’t drink beer. Love their mild and bbq flavored wings! Fries are good too! Wish they had a place closer. LOVED taco mac but they now all seem to have disappeared. We came from Smyrna to eat here and will make the drive!

Squash casserole, you gotta try it. I got the cuban but heard they have good wings too. I really liked the place, it’s sort of a dive but the food was great and the staff were very friendly and very funny. I’d definitely go back next time I’m in town.

I come here every month or so since it’s so close to the office. First the bad: 1– parking is a huge pain! The entrances are usually half blocked by SUV’s/cars so getting in takes some manuvering 2– there is back parking, but the lines are so faded that most cars are parked crookedly 3 — definitely not one of the cleanest restaurants I’ve been to 4 — I agree with the previous post that the TVs could definitely be much bigger, but since I don’t really follow sports I don’t care too much The Good: 1 — their buffalo shrimp and philly cheese steaks are to die for! The philly is loaded with meat, mushrooms and peppers and gently enveloped with this gooey good cheese! 2 — the service can be a bit spotty, but take out orders are quick! 3– food portions are huge!

I have to say that the wings here were extremely good. I just got back from Buffalo a few months ago and have since changed my standards on wings. The wings at Duff’s, La Nova, and Anchor Bar were all very good. I have to say that these were the best wings I’ve had in Atlanta by far. I don’t think Taco Mac even comes close. I have heard the Wing Factory further down Roswell is very good also. The service was very good. Plenty of t.v.‘s outside playing NFL football this Sunday. The patio has a great atmosphere. The only reason it’s not getting the 5th star from me is the smoking… Which not everybody cares about, but it’s not always the best to smell cigar/cigarette smoke while you are eating.

Tons of tvs, tons of sports on the tvs, great food(burgers) and plenty of beer. Its also not typically as crowded during football season!

These wings are flavored just the way I like them! I also love their mozarella sticks, Chicken Philly and the Fries. Can’t go wrong here!

Our most ‘regular’ place. Most menu items are fresh and predictible, but on average — better than average ‘bar food.’ Service is generally good(with the exception of the owner/manager’s son) A good comfortable place to go. Like other places — big games bring in a crowd. Rarely too many unattended kids with indifferent parents — but try to steer clear of those when you can.

Blue cheese chips are usually blue corn chips or sometimes regular tortilla chips with a mix of cheese dip and blue cheese drizzled on top… yummy:)

LOL… Unilocalers…when the original Three Dollar Café opened in 1982 they had plenty of $ 3 items! Y’all are just too young to remember! I give 4 stars based on their wings alone… I’ve never lived in Buffalo… moved to Atlanta in 1980… my introduction to Buffalo wings was in 1982 when a friend concocted them in his kitchen! I’ve tried many renditions of the Buffalo wing and have NEVER been disappointed in those produced by the Three Dollar Café… I have been disappointed many times by those made at other establishments. Also, they carry my favorite beer!!! and didn’t say HUH??? when I asked for my Shiner Bock!!! They have about 8 beers on tap and a generous selection of bottled brews. The patio is bustling every time I pass… one downside to the patio is the traffic noise(it’s right on Roswell Rd.)…oh, well… you can’t have everything.

The Buckhead location was really the only one I ever enjoyed going to. I remember the deck there was so much fun, especially if there was some kind of entertainment going! They do have decent burgers. Other than that, I am a total Taco Mac fan and supporter. I would suggest Taco Mac for sure, or possibly Dantanas or Jocks N Jills if they are still open.

There may be some of you who disagree with this assessment, but Three Dollar café is a cheap imitation of Taco Mac. With that being said here are some reasons that support my argument. The televisions are ridiculously small at Three Dollar Café. Would it kill the owner to spend more than 100 bucks on at least one of the televisions here? Most sports bars in Atlanta have upgraded to the big screen plasmas for their customers viewing pleasure. Why does Three Dollar Café insists on keeping their 32″ Magnavox boob tube? Does not make to much sense to me. I hate to say this phrase, but the management needs to get with the times. Their wings are decent. They seem to have made some budget cuts in the food quality deparment, considering most of their wings look to be at least twice as small as they were a year ago. This is a bad move for any sports bar to make, especialy one that struggles for business as much as Three Dollar does. Long story short, you should probably just go to Taco Mac or Jocks and Jills if you really desire the better sports bar experience.

A nicely sized sports bar with a less corporate feel. I’m not sure why it’s called Three Dollar Café, though. There’s nothing you can get here for $ 3 other than a couple cokes. Their menu ranges from $ 7-$ 14 mostly, and includes traditional sports bar fare, nothing to get excited about, but stomach-filling nonetheless. Their wings, as mentioned by Spencer, are excellent, probably the best thing they have available. Besides, there’s nothing quite like sucking on a bunch of greasy bones and turning napkins bright orange while staring at the television. I wouldn’t recommend this place for a super sports lover on a big game night. Their TV selection just isn’t all that. Mostly smaller screens, and placed so more tables can see them. It was pretty fun that one time though that we watched a Falcons game next to a large family of Spanish folks. They were freaking out at every play. I wish I had such energy.

The Three Dollar Café is one of the places I make sure to visit when I’m back home in Atlanta. Their wings are by far the best I’ve had– we’ve been eating there since I was a kid and the wings have always been the same fantabulous recipe. The tuna salad is alright, if you’re not feelin’ the wings, but for the love of god, why go there if you’re not getting wings?! Oh, and I remember nothing on the menu being three dollars. :-)
