Love this place but Brunch was a real disappointment-One order delivered not as ordered and waiter never checked back. The Chicken Chilaquiles was essentially a bowl of chips with very little else in it. Stick with dinner here and you will be much happier.

A girlfriend and I decided to grab dinner here one evening about two months ago. We quickly laughed about the ambience having a date night vibe. It was really nice. It was our first time there(even though I’ve lived in the neighborhood for several months), so we wanted to get a decent sampling of the menu.(Apparently it changes daily.) We both liked that they served popcorn as the«bread» at the table and happily munched on it while chatting and having a glass of red wine. We ended up trying the cheese plate, which had some interesting flavors(I couldn’t get enough of the honey and the jam), as well as several sliders. The food and service were good, and I would recommend The Shed for a dinner date. I’d like to try a more substantial meal next time I return, just to get a better feel for their style.

We decided to treat ourselves tonight, and made the short trek from Jonesboro to The Shed at Glenwood. Wow, it was awesome. Our server Rick was wonderful and everything he recommended was amazing. The summer Rose’ was smooth, dry and refreshing. Oyster special was delicious. Neil’s burger with bacon jam and fries were wonderful. Susan’s Salmon with watercress and leeks, amazing. We have not been there in a while, but will definitely be back again soon as it was better than we ever remembered. Good job Chefs, and owners Cindy and Todd, ya’ll constantly stay ahead of the curve and surprise your patrons again and again. Love, love this restaurant.

Disappointing. This used to be our neighborhood go to. We have tried to adjust to the changes in head chefs and resulting menu nuances that attempt to bring creativity to dishes and accentuate the locally sourced selections, but we are now struggling to find enjoyable menu items. Two reasons, the menu options are pretty ordinary and they are masked in over the top descriptions. Better if they get back to basics. The positive, Saturday night at 7 was so sparce, the noise level was manageable.

We had so much fun dining here. $ 20 wines on Friday nights. The burrata with strawberries was delicious. Don’t miss the house made ding dong. Hee hee… ding dong;)

I’ve always enjoyed The Shed in the past, but the Mother’s Day Brunch was very disappointing. My husband said when he looked on their site, he didn’t see that it was only going to be a buffet, but maybe he just overlooked. We have been on Mother’s Day in the past and we ordered off the menu and there was no buffet. The price was outrageous for what they were serving. $ 35/person $ 15/kids for food I could have easily made myself in a matter of minutes. For that price, I expected a lot more. Perhaps an omelette station would have made it better or at least free coffee. IMO this should not have been more than $ 15/person. A family of 4 and our bill was $ 110 for a basic breakfast you can get anywhere. I mean, scrambled eggs and bacon and grits that was gelatinous and nothing really remarkable. They totally missed the mark for what moms want to eat on Mother’s Day. I gave two stars b/c their staff was great as always.

Ordered too much food, can’t wait to come back and do it again :) Everything stood out, except the mussels, they were plump and juicy, just not super flavorful. Also got the Pimento cheese slider and Spring Pea Guacamole. Both were great. Our entrees were probably the highlights, in taste and presentation. The Herb Radiatore(spiral pasta), was the epitome of a perfect spring dish. It was served with a mixture of peas, beans, wildflowers and ricotta cheese. I loved it! Our other awesome entrée was«the Hamburger Helper» Rigitoni, as described, it was a lamb stroganoff, with peas and mushrooms.

One of the best small restaurants I have ever been to. Food was top notch. We went on a off hour and the food was still very much fresh and delicious. Service was amazing. Hummus and pitta bread were fresh and hot. Definitely would come againm

I am a true foodie & I am very critical when it comes to dining out. I was OVERLY impressed by my dining experience at The Shed tonight. My waiter was very attentive to my son & I. I had the Sunday Supper which is a 3-Course dining experience. The food was delicious! Let me also mention: I am a Chef as well. To only be $ 25 the 3 Course meal exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be back!

A hidden gem in Atlanta. I have been here twice, and I am definitely talking about my 3rd visit. Brunch is good, and dinner is good. Prices are ok, and service is usually good.

Came here for drinks. It was a nice experience, with a great ambience and decent selection of whiskeys and bourbons. Can’t speak to the food or how they cope during their peak hours, but I enjoyed my first experience.

Brunch was extremely disappointing today. They ran out of crab benedict at 1pm. What!?! Had to switch to the friend chicken, biscuit and gravy. Chicken was over cooked and tough. There was a severe lack of gravy and the biscuit was heavy and dry. Bloody mary was weak and uneventful. Mother-in-law’s biscuit was burnt to a crisp. Chalk it up to a bad day, and it was bad.

crab cake benedict: Very good. Light and fluffy crab cakes, one of the better cakes that I’ve had. Shrimp and grits: Great! Breakfast and such: Good, the portion was too small. Roasted chicken chilaquiles: The chicken was good, but that was it. It was like I was eating chicken on top of a bed of soggy Doritos. Ding Dong: Good but a little too rich. Carrot Cake: Too dry and crumbly. Pretty plating, pointless though to have added that green garnish. Sorbet was fantastic! Would have loved just a bowl of that. Bloody Mary: Horrible. Liked the heat but needs to be thicker, it tasted like it was watered down. It really had no flavor. Mimosa: Good, I thought the champagne to orange juice ration was aright.

Would give this place a 3.8~ Location is a bit far out and though the food was good, it would be a too long of a drive for me, personally, to make future visits. Service was good for the most part, though the kitchen forgot my fried egg on my burger and my candle on my birthday… For parking, there’s plenty of street parking and parking lot behind the restaurant. They provide you awesome complimentary popcorn. It had awesome«freshly popped» smell and taste that we enjoyed. For my entrée, I had their angus burger with fried egg added. Burger was delicious, including buns and the fries was very flavorful. BF had the braised short ribs, which was very tender with refreshing salad on the bottom. And of course, for dessert we had their famous house made chocolate ding dong!!! It was over the top CHOCOLATEY, in a good way =) It was a great ending to the meal. The place did looked a bit empty for the most part on a Sunday night. Hope it gets busier in general. A great place for locals, especially!

EXCELLENT Beer selection. If you like unique beers and a huge assortment, this bar is the place for you. My friend spent half the night searching through the many beers on the menu and trying a few along the way. We didn’t try the food, but this is a cool, quaint little bar.

You know honestly, I would have passed this place up on first glance. It’s in my neighborhood and when I get out and go I want to be a decent distance while I wine and dine. Usually when I walk my dogs I run into people and businesses in the neighborhood. The executive chef DeAndre gave my two pets a state down, as if they were waiting on him throw them a bone or two! He and I struck up a conversation and I told him I would drop in and give them a try. Glad I did. This was my first official experience inside the restaurant at the bar. The bartender nice, but impersonal. She appeared to give more attention to the regulars(my observation) and I could be wrong, but most of you who follow my Unilocal reviews know that I am quick to drop a name. I don’t know hers, and she seems to give attention where she is most comfortable. I guess busy is a better word, the restaurant was ½ full. Overall the experience was professional. I can’t complain.

The Shed at Glenwood is a restaurant that serves up American(New) cuisine with fresh ingredients that’s in season. *3.5 stars rounded up to 4 stars* My friend lives close by and has been here several times so he suggested this restaurant for dinner. Upon entrance, the host/receptionist let us view the menu before deciding to dine-in. He was very friendly and told us the specials for the night, etc. We ended up dining in and had a good time! PARKING We walked from my friend’s place, but there is a private lot I believe and street parking. DECOR Very homey feel. Minimalist feel. SERVICE Good. Water glasses were refilled. Our server didn’t really talk much. He would just walk by and look more so than ask if everything was fine. He did ask once right after we got our entrée. APPETIZER Arugula Salad(8): local strawberries and peaches, pine nuts, goat cheese, and lavender vinaigrette. I cannot begin to start pouring my thoughts on this well put together salad. It was just refreshing and so good! The fruits added a little bit of tart and sweetness accompanied by nutty pines, a rich, creamy goat cheese that was almost whipped even, and showered with lavender vinaigrette. It was just perfection. ENTREE -(gf) Smoked Berkshire Pork Chop(25): grilled baby boy choy, blackberry jus This entrée was good, but something was missing. It was one of two entrees the server recommended. The other was the Duck Confit. The Chop I was served was more on the fatty side, which I didn’t mind. Fat makes everything delicious, right? The flesh was tender, but too chewy. If it was just a little firmer, it would’ve been great. My hands got a work out slicing the pork chop as well as the ends of the grilled bok choy. Lovely vegetable, but in my opinion, it didn’t really complement the chop. It was definitely in the lane of crunchiness, but maybe zucchini? green beans? a refreshing slaw even would’ve worked better. Other than that, the entrée was well-marinated and tasty! –Springer Mountain Farm Roasted Chicken(20): fingering potatoes, creamed corn, red wine sauce My friend ordered this and thought it was delicious. I tried some and it was tasty. Hard to go wrong with some roasted chicken! Overall, good experience, good food, and good service. Everything that came out was beautifully displayed.

3.5 stars. Pan seared scallops and grits: this is where the money maker is. Just forget the scallops(I usually don’t like chunks of scallops anyway). The grits were creamy. The sausage were flavorful. Comfort food, indeed! Veggie hash: not enough potatoes but who eats solely potatoes for a meal anyway? This was interesting mix of veggies. I couldn’t taste what veggies made up this hash. At first glance, I was distrustful of the dish as it looked burnt. However, it tasted far from burnt. It comes with a fried egg, cooked to be runny. I wasn’t a fan of the fried egg(I like runny yolk though). It may have needed some salt and pepper. Hot smoked salmon: I only tried a bite so it may not be fair to rate. I found it salty. The eggs were boring and the tasted practically bland. Restaurant is open with a separated section for the bar folks. There is patio seating as well. I like the ambiance. They have their own parking lot, so utilize that before trying to parallel park on the streets.

The Shed at Glenwood is a delightful and consistently good place to enjoy a meal. Since the location is not completely convenient to my home or work… I don’t go here often. However, this restaurant has never disappointed. Here’s what I liked the most: 1) Free parking 2) Laid-back, unpretentious atmosphere 3) Great service 4) Unique twists on fabulous food For our meals, we enjoyed Watermelon Salad with Pickled Rind(best ever!), Hot Smoked Salmon with grits/eggs/mole(mole sauce was a bit heavy for me, but good dish) and Kung Pao Broccoli with Toasted Peanuts and Pickled Beets(solid and tasty). Overall, if you haven’t been here yet – The Shed is a must try, so head on over to East Atlanta for a farm fresh, eclectic meal. Happy Eating!
